Not too bad for a budget phone, but the ultra wide camera is distorted around the edges and has terrible colour saturation and the macro is 2MP. The 48MP sensor is ok, but samsung haven't chosen the best sensor and some images look soft and grainy. While the processor is ok for everyday use and some non demanding games, sometimes I get lag in youtube and other apps with videos like twitch. On the other hand, Samsung apparently implemented a feature which makes the apps you use on a day to day basis launch and perform a little better. In open camera, the phone can record 1080p@60 with eis. Quality and colour sucks, but hey, I'm grateful for what ny parents got me. Oh yeah, and the lack of 5ghz wifi sucks, especially since the oppo a9 2020 (around the same price) has 5ghz wifi. I'm stuck on 40mbps at best and an average of 20mbps, while every other device hits 90mbps. Overall, this is a good phone, but for people who want sharp displays with crisp colour and a camera that's not just for show, the a12 doesn't really cut it. For about 20-30 pounds more, you can get the oppo a72 with a fhd screen, 5ghz and everything else.
@@rosiefarie2926 I didn't charge my phone either, but the battery's great. Maybe your phone's faulty. Go to the tech store you bought it from and ask them what could be wrong
the battery life is the most important for me, and you sure explained it well 👏 I.m thinking to get me an A12, since I.m not into games or heavy tasks. Just emails, a few pictures and social media. Also, that plastic back...I like it ! Less fingerprints ! Good review ! 👍
@@yvng4697 the iPhone 6s Plus will only update for a year from now and is simply just outdated, whereas the a12 will last you at least 3 years until you need an upgrade.
I just got it after watching reviews on youtube and I love it. The battery life is amazing. My 128gb storage is great. The phone specs are amazing. It is a great investment. 😊
I got this phone as a gift for new year, and all I got to say is that it's great phone! It's comfortable while writing messages, battery lasts minimum for 2 days without battery saver mode and with whole day use, it has got great camera quality and good audio quality too! I recommend this phone to everyone.
The increase in maximum volume percentage-wise was definitely noticeable on the A12. With my old Samsung S7, I had to install a volume booster app just to get the desired volume that I needed. The A12 has plenty of volume to get the job done. The impressive battery life on the A12 was the biggest shocker, also. My old S7 was a battery killer no matter what energy saving measures in the phone I would use to restrict needless battery depletion.
I got one today and it's working smoothly no lags and cod mobile was playing just fine on the high settings . And the battery lasted for 14 hours 4hours gaming ,7 hours on social, media .3hours in movies . And the phone still had 20% battery left
This phone is nice and worthy of a budget. Its specs is very very amazing. But, I suggest to those who wanted to get this phone, don't forget to put casing and screen protector. I just bought it yesterday then it fell off, accidentally, not higher than 3ft then the LCD just got cracked.

One of the biggest frustrations with modern smartphone culture is this obsession with the high-end flagships. These $1,200+ phones are great at all, but the vast majority of us will do just fine with a sub $300 phone. I need a phone to make calls, browse the web, use gps, watch UA-cam videos, and open the occasional work document. I don't need a phone to play call of duty. I'm leaning towards picking up an A32 as a nice balance price/performance.
Man do I agree with this comment. I just ordered the galaxy A13 and began doubting my decision because some were ripping it a part. But when I saw them use it in videos, it looked pretty good to me. Not the clearest camera ever and maybe takes like 2 extra seconds to turn on than higher end phones, and the megapixels were just too small for them. I don't care about none of that. A lot of the people reviewing these phones are tech snobs, for the average everyday person these phones are just fine. I mainly use my phone for basic things anyway, I don't need anything crazy complicated.

i have this phone from 2021 to 2024 and it's still amazing four years of amazing battery and a really fine camera for the price. it has everything but in a budget way. oh and it's very very tough it had many many falls and still works. the helio chip on this device is impressive! i really want to see more MediaTek chips in Samsung phones.

I bought this phone on saturday after my last samsung suddenly stopped working. I do like it. still getting used to it and need to practice using the camera. So far seems ok. Shame i didn't get any headphones with mine though. would have been useful!
i love it i got it 3 weeks ago battery lasts the whole day the helio processor can be better at heavier games like genshin impact or other big games (cod mobile etc.) the 4 gb of ram dont feel like they are 4, the browsing experience is amazing
I have this for a week now I bought it bequase my iphone 7plus broke and i needed a cheap phone cuz i was on a bughet And i can tell you as an iphone user i love this battery man and everything else but the front camera is not great but as an overal day to day phone i dont plan upgradeing it
The best A series phone at the moment is A51 if you compare the price the spects overall its great thats me coming from s10 plus after a accidently dropping the s10 but I miss the camera the a51 feels like a flagship phone in day to day use

I bought this model after my old Samsun J7 (after years of use) lost some battery life. In addition - the charger didn't stick tight and fell out of the phone. So, I bought A12, and comparing the J7 and A12 I found that I like the old one much better. The reasons are: 1. All my contacts had individual ringtones, which feature isn't available in A12 phone. 2. I can't get stop the UA-cam videos from "playing" before I press the play button. 3. Samsung J7 has much brighter and lively colors comparing with A12 phone. 4. Also in my opinion (many wouldn't agree) the Samsung J7 was has better proportions comparing to long and narrow Samsung A12. So if anyone knows how to fix issues 1 and 2 please advise. The rest - I can live with
Well, after a while I managed to fix the inconveniences I was describing in my previous post. So I feel good about the phone. Good, but still not as great as about my old J7.
Don't buy this phone. It will make you start loving Samsung Android phones and hate Apple iPhones. It's a trap. Remember all the good times and love Apple gave to you.
Ok i have the A12 the battery does get hot 🔥 you can feel it and the sensitivity on the screen is a problem especially when the phone it's in my pocket and the other problem is when your talking to someone is not loud enough that i have to put it on the loud speaker now the talked on the LG G7 PLUS Its very loud while talk i don't even have to tap the loud speaker on that phone has 64 gb built in the phone already and you can add another memory card to it
there is a reward program in new Zealand where they had a compaction and i won 1000 and 2x 50 points and with the 20% points off they had on all items i was able to get this phone for free 128gb and 4gb ram model good review cant wait to get it in the post
Hi, this is a PHONE yet no one talks about the phone calls and receiving functionality? I have a problem in that hearing the other person is a drag because of the ear piece positioning and i find this very frustrating.
The Samsung Galaxy A serious are for certain regions and market based on customer demands not everyone can afford the higher end samsung devices but on my opinion the A serious is not that bad for a normal customer

Just got this last wednesday (January 12, 2021) as a second phone. So far so good. I also have A32 5g. Both have the same display size, quality but of course, the A32 5g is way better as it is faster, better image quality when taking pictures and videos.

I didn't charge my phone before use ,the seller advised me to drain the battery first then charge it but my battery is not lasting can it be a problem

Thank you for this review I watch two of yours on the Galaxy a12 had a Galaxy a21 that broke and I just needed something cheaper and I appreciate the video and I'm pretty good on with phones and most of my time is spent on UA-cam and social media so and texting as well so thank you for this review you did wonderful
Also had Google email and an additional email app on my phone as well that did not transfer from the old phone to the new phone what would be a good email to load up on my phone outside of the Google app email
Im almost on my phone all day and it lasts me from morning till night time when i have to sleep, its so good
omg, have been using iPhones long time, just bought an iPhone 11, this A12 is definitely better than that

I bought this model after my old Samsun J7 (after years of use) lost some battery life. In addition - the charger didn't stick tight and fell out of the phone. So, I bought A12, and comparing the J7 and A12 I found that I like the old one much better. The reasons are:
1. All my contacts had individual ringtones, which feature isn't available in A12 phone.
2. I can't get stop the UA-cam videos from "playing" before I press the play button.
3. Samsung J7 has much brighter and lively colors comparing with A12 phone.
4. Also in my opinion (many wouldn't agree) the Samsung J7 was has better proportions comparing to long and narrow Samsung A12. So if anyone knows how to fix issues 1 and 2 please advise. The rest - I can live with
Well, after a while I managed to fix the inconveniences I was describing in my previous post. So I feel good about the phone. Good, but still not as great as about my old J7.
Don't buy this phone. It will make you start loving Samsung Android phones and hate Apple iPhones. It's a trap. Remember all the good times and love Apple gave to you.

Ok i have the A12 the battery does get hot 🔥 you can feel it and the sensitivity on the screen is a problem especially when the phone it's in my pocket and the other problem is when your talking to someone is not loud enough that i have to put it on the loud speaker now the talked on the LG G7 PLUS Its very loud while talk i don't even have to tap the loud speaker on that phone has 64 gb built in the phone already and you can add another memory card to it
there is a reward program in new Zealand where they had a compaction and
i won 1000 and 2x 50 points and with the 20% points off they had on all
items i was able to get this phone for free 128gb and 4gb ram model good review cant wait to
get it in the post
Though the front camera is not so good for me but talking about the price is a consideration

Hi, this is a PHONE yet no one talks about the phone calls and receiving functionality? I have a problem in that hearing the other person is a drag because of the ear piece positioning and i find this very frustrating.
The Samsung Galaxy A serious are for certain regions and market based on customer demands not everyone can afford the higher end samsung devices but on my opinion the A serious is not that bad for a normal customer

Just got this last wednesday (January 12, 2021) as a second phone. So far so good. I also have A32 5g. Both have the same display size, quality but of course, the A32 5g is way better as it is faster, better image quality when taking pictures and videos.
