Super glad to see you covering the game again. I know you're busy with other things but having this series come back every once in a while, no matter how long the break inbetween is, always makes me happy. Your videos are pretty much THE reason I've started looking around in the game myself, I didn't even know it had a semblance of a story beforehand so I really appreciate you taking it all apart and presenting it. Keep up the good work and most of all have fun in your other projects aswell dude. :D
@@rokajoshdev gotta be honest here I am hoping for the same thing. Been following the game's developement for so long now and I gotta say...such a shame that after seeing so much progress getting done over a long long time it almost feels like all of it got reset. But as a fan of Beware I am used to saying: "we shall see" hahaha!
When I saw this video hit my sub box I was most astonished! Such a surprise! Lots of shock on my face! Excited to hop back in to Beware and shoot some goons with my beloved gun mod!
Hey, nice to see others making mods for this game. :) Now the question arose in my mind, how did you solve the creation of the mod? You don't need to elaborate at all, I'm just interested. Because I simply feel that I'm the only one who suffers because I can only access the existing scripts, but nothing more serious, because that would also require the Unity project. Considering your mod, the mod menu also has a nice UI interface, now I'm assuming that you found a way to modify it via the reverse-engineered Unity project and not rewrite the assembly directly. Although I used to manage to do this and fix the errors, but still the main problem was that every object was showing "Missing script" and a lot of textures were not showing up (purple color in many places) and of course a lot of warnings remain on the console. Of course, it is also possible that you also solved it from a script, but it seems to me a different solution because of the nice menu.
It is all done by rewriting the assembly file. I toyed with creating it as a BepinEx mod but it seemed like it would require other users to go to more effort to play it. Back when version 001 came out and I made my original walking mod, I did look into recreating the Unity project but ran into the same issues you mentioned.
@@rokajoshdev Thanks for the reply! Anyway, I only made a graphics mod so that the game can be run on slower PCs, and I pretty much managed to maximize the possibilities, even though everything had to be manipulated at runtime. The other optimizations depend only on Ondrej's efforts. At the beginning, my original plan would have been just a realistic bounce of the camera and the 3rd camera. Unfortunately, the camera bounce didn't produce nearly as good results as what Ondrej used in the older versions, so I just hope he'll bring it back in the final version.
I saw that you are capable of modding various Unity games, and I kind of found a unity game that you might want to try out modding. Me and my friends were unable to succeed in doing so. The name of the requested game is "Case: animatronics", it costs money. However the demo has the same assets in it, it just wouldn't let you proceed with the rest of the game after the demo sequence ends. I believe it was made with a unity version that is from 2016
For those interested, I added the free camera function to my latest v013d mod update. Anyone interested can find the video on my channel and the link in the description.
Game is making good progress. But why are there no on-foot npc's anymore? It was so tense when the goons got out their car while you were stuck on the last try to escape.
I think he's recoding most of the game from scratch. Amateur and first time projects can get quite messy, and the implementation of a new physics engine and Unity version is about as good a time as any
It will not work because of the fact that it is a modification of compiled game files. I'm not modding v13 because it was a super minor update, I'm waiting for Ondrej to add some more things like story/objectives or readding the enemies and NPCs before modding the game anymore
@@rokajoshdev Fair enough. Hopefully a more major update will arrive sooner than later. Just a bit disappointing that the link for v12 is dead and only the links for the most up-to-date version and versions from v7/9c and prior are kept working.

Thanks for the kind words, I'm hoping a lot of the story stuff and NPCs get added back in future versions so there is more stuff to cover!

The mod has quite a lot of useful features now.
Nice to see you upload about this game again
This game deserves so much more coverage then it gets and its a travesty that it hasn't received it, thanks for the mod update.
Love to see more content from Beware, this series is awesome and I definitely wanna see more come of it!
Version 013 might be out sooner than you think! Ondrej recently hit over 2k on his patreon.
Are there are any news ?
@@erikvannik5208 Not sure. I don't pledge to Ondrej when nothing comes for 6 months. lmao
YOU ARE BACK!
I would like a "review" of the update 12
HES BACKKK

A question. Will you ever do an episode on the bus ?
If it gets added back in, which I don't see why it wouldn't be, then yes I will.
@@rokajoshdev ty for the answer

Is any map for v013?
Not yet

can you explore the last region but not the stitched version please
can we have a v13

does this support the vr version?
✌️
is their a version of the modpack for version 008 or the final region or region7/9
No, the last version release prior to this is 007.
Has anyone tested if this will work with v13d? The v12 link seems to be RIP now and I only have v13d.

Will this mod work v013?
I have not tested it, but presumably no.
@@rokajoshdev Okay thanks!
Can we maaayybe see a mod that replaces the protagonist car with a 1970 Dodge Charger 🥺
Id prefer a lada instead xd tbh the point of the game is that you have a communist car, work with what you have
He didn’t make a virgin about v13
V13 cuz v14 is coming 2025
