Tim stone definitely is the one who deserves to be singing this song he's so cute and just adorable no one else can do this song justice like Tim stone
*Why is this video titled **_"Frankie Valli & TFS Silver Star"?_** This single and the whole album it came from was released by 'The Four Seasons'. The lead vocals were sung by Gerry Polci. Frankie Valli only appeared on three of the tracks, and even then, only as a backing vocalist. Frankie couldn't sing in the 1970's because he suffered 75% hearing loss.*
I think it's because the band's name is "Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons". So, even though the lead vocal of this song is Gerry Polci, he still sang it in the name of their band, "Frankie Valli & TFS".
@@lesliemoore7294 Calm down Leslie... and lose the attitude. It just makes you sound childish and immature. It might have been helpful (to you), if you'd bothered to actually take in what I said in my original comment. Where it's from is completely irrelevant, and so my original point still stands, i.e. why title the video; _"Frankie Valli & TFS Silver Star"_ when Frankie Valli doesn't even appear in the video, doesn't sing in the video, and wasn't even there when the video was being shot? It's clearly misleading. And nobody said that it *wasn't* Tim Stone singing lead vocals in this particular video. I didn't think anything I said was too difficult to understand, though obviously that's not the case for all people - is it Leslie? I was merely pointing out that the lead vocal on both the single *and* the album, were sung by Gerry Polci, which was and remains correct. I suggest you stop wasting your time and effort, in attempting to correct comments from others, which don't need correcting at all. You're clearly not bright enough to even *try* and do that kind of thing Leslie. Now make yourself a nice cup of tea, take your medication, and go lie down in a darkened room for a couple of hours. Frankie Valli never sang lead vocals with Siverstar. The song was written by Bob Gaudio and performed by Gerry Polci who was The Drummer. And it was still a great song without frankie valli.
His name is Tim Stone; he is not one of the original band members. The original keyboard player was Bob Gaudio, who wrote most of the hit songs for the group (He had a hit with the Royal Teens, called, "Who Wears Short Shorts"). Another keyboard player who was with the Four Seasons for awhile was Jerry Corbetta, the founder and lead singer of Sugarloaf("Green Eyed Lady").
Gerry is a far superior drummer to the chump trying to play this track. Gerry does a double tap on the kick drum, at the same time playing complex tetra diddles and polyflams.
He left the group in 1990 to become a teacher his wife wanted him to get a normal job and he wanted it too as they wanted to start a family his wife was frankies daughter Toni valli. They divorced in the early noughties he is now remarried
I just don't get it ...... how can they call it the four season if its not all the original band and the lead singer on the drums I swear the world has gone insane or people can't hear the difference or just settle for second best .
The lead on here doesn't look or sound like the one from 1976? As for Frankie, his voice was faltering by now. Still great quality, but couldn't hit the high notes like he used to.
This is just Frankie Valli and some background singers. If they had actually sung on the recordings, had been heard on the radio and toured with him as actual band members it would be different. Without Frankie no one would care about these guys, nothing beats the original.
Never get tired of hearing this
Tim Stone great singer and a wonderful person.
Rip Tim Stone,you are missed!😢
caught this by accident whilst looking for Iron Maiden...gotta say this singer has an excellent clear effortless voice Great!
@Robert Harding Yeah it's Tim Stone on vocals he's brlliant.
Polci and the other 3 guys were simply brilliant.
And neither a Frankie Valli nor a Four Season in sight!!!
RIP my friend, Timmy Stone. You'll be sadly missed.
@FantadtixBand
Is it true that Tim Stone has passed away? Pls let me know
. Sadly yes, two years ago.
I have this on Dvd, ok fashions change but this was superb
What a beautiful Song,
Tim Stone doesn't have the dept in his voice like Gerry Polci has!
Tengo el disco original LP, y amo esta canción.💓
Have always loved this.
The best of Four Seasons.
Tim stone definitely is the one who deserves to be singing this song he's so cute and just adorable no one else can do this song justice like Tim stone
thank you so much, I ADORE this version, it really is the bes one, is that Tim Stone on lead vocals, if so, what does he do now>> such talent.
I believe he's got his own gym now. Looks way different
It's decent, but no where is it close to Gerry Polci's original version!
He died this past May (2023) at age 65.
@@jkl8006Noo. I just read a comment that he had passed.
Anymore info about him.
Thnx.
Tim Stone brilliant vocals and keyboards
There were great!

@@lesliemoore7294 I agree with Anne. This is not FV, or the actual 4 Seasons.... Sadly, this is a cover band.

Right on Ray.....
Silverstar became a hit in the UK!
@@benadam7753 Opened the 2nd one in iirc
@Ray Corroll Yes but Tim Stone does a brilliant job with his vocals and keyboards
We are not daft we know frankie valli didn't sing this song
This beautifull young man is the best playing this song.LOVE HIM. .MY SILVER STAR.

At first I thought the extra band would just get in th the way, but they help the song by giving it a bit more texture and well... Personality.
Tim Stone was a great performer RIP
es un genio musical
I actually liked the band from the mid 70s better than the 60s band.
Fuck this is brilliant.
noooooo wheres Gerry
Gerry out sings him original is the best
Gerry is a far superior drummer to the chump trying to play this track. Gerry does a double tap on the kick drum, at the same time playing complex tetra diddles and polyflams.
Where's Polci?
i know right .. i love him
He left the group in 1990 to become a teacher his wife wanted him to get a normal job and he wanted it too as they wanted to start a family his wife was frankies daughter Toni valli. They divorced in the early noughties he is now remarried
geen Frankie Valli in de band hoor.!!!! foei foutje
Where's Gerri!
This is their best ever song, that acoustic stacatto is just brilliant, better than anything that they did with Frankie Valli.
16 people are still working 9-5...
sounding PFG

i was wondering the same sherrygirl. he really was fit. can.t find any info. about him at all. in a band not in a band
The Four Seasons .... without Frankie Valli
which bit is Frankie Valli ? ;-)
No Frankie valli I to be seen here
I wonder what Tim Stone looks like now. He sure was adorbs in this video!
Tim Stone looks better ever ! plus Toby so cute
a touch of the DC about him you think?
@@brandonbuenaventura6626 who is Toby? Do you have a pic of Tim?
0:23 Sounds like Mario Kart
whats the name of the guy in the hat is he one of the original band members?

*Rhoda Penmark:* You know nothing!
Larry Lingle on guitar had been with The Four Seasons for over ten years when this concert was performed and recorded, so I'd say you know jack shit.
They played with him for the concert in 1992 in Atlantic City and Frankie introduced them as the four seasons, that's all that matters to me.
@@lesliemoore7294 it's still incorrect
Frankie ain't even there.

such a great song, takes me back to the summer of 76 when I was 11. actually think this version better with Tim Stone on vocals.
ya mr stone killed it :)
Looks and sounds like a tribute band to me. They're good but not the same.
Guy does phenomenal, but Gerry Polci was better. Almost sounds like him too!
Better than the original.
bullshit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
LOL!
Noooooooo
Nothing beats the original, the band from the 70s were brilliant.
No chance
Good effort, but cannot compare with Gerry Polci's original.
I love Tim Stone! Don't know anything about thr "original" Tim is all I want to hear
The original singer is Gerry Polci and he sings the song a lot better than Tim Stone!
No were near as good as the 76 version.
