Mirabai Ceiba - Ayun Mapu (Redux)

"Ayun Mapu Redux" breathes new life into "Ayum Mapu," a beloved chant from Mirabai Ceiba's debut album Flores. This song has been a vital part of Mirabai Ceiba’s journey, deeply rooted in the cultural heritage of the Mapuche tribe of Chile. Enhanced with a beautiful poem from the Zapoteco people, discovered in the ancient pyramid of Monte Alban in Oaxaca, Mexico, this song speaks to the universal themes of creation and unity: “You were the moon who reproduced my being, I was the sun who planted dreams in your chest.”
