Great info in this video. Question for you. How did you settle on Mahogany? Did you consider other woods? I've been told to use spruce... I'm just starting the research process portion of replacing my HC38T's bowsprit. Thx!
Mahogany is strong and glues well. Yes, sprice is a good for spars and sprits due to its light weight. I wasn't too worried about weight,, and spruce is pretty hard to find in the south.
