I remember the class did this in elementary school and wound up accidentally letting go and it flew off something around two miles away. A bird or something must have popped a hole in it since it landed somewhere around the highway before it could get near the old private landing strip nearby. That was definitely lucky on everyone's part.

We asked the guy if he was willing to do that and he happily agreed. Afterward, It took us 30 minutes to untangle the bag from his mower blades. The blades were so hot the bag melted in a three inch ring around the blade. Luckily he was a good sport about it.
It was a great ending, though! I thoroughly enjoyed it aha. What an awesome guy. Great job on the video!

That's a great video they put together! We have been selling solar bags for 20 years now. There is a chance it may have been purchased from us, but other companies also sell it, so we can't be sure. Either way, thanks for sharing that they made a video with this!

Great video. Would it be safer to go ahead and tie the string to the other end of the solar bag? There is a small chance that when you are tying the string on the end you just closed that the bag could get blown out of your hands before you get the string attached.

Your videographer apparently believes you’re the Solar Bag. Rather than showing the full twenty-five feet of Solar Bag inflating, we were only allow to see you our host and eight feet of the bag.
When you stated, it’s very important to sight down the bag to check for a shiny bag which will help to indicating there are no leaks. I thought, here was the clear instruction to the camera person to pull back and sight down the “whole length” of the bag, but No, instead the camera view tighten even more on the host and even less on the bag.
Perhaps a better title might be, The Amazing Solar Guy with a bag.
We did this demonstration in elementary school students and they loved it. I wish I had thought of your idea to initially start by filling a section of the bag in the front, sealing off and working it down to the end to help inflate the Solar Bag easier...brilliant. Our Solar Bag came with no instruction so we did the best we could. The “patient” kids got pretty good at inflating and repairing the inevitable holes.

As usual we have difficulty accessing components to accurately reproduce things that are done in USA, ....we have large black bags, we have air to fill it, we can tie secure knots, we have quite strong prevailing Westerly winds but unfortunately we are at a loss to find the final component......" SUN" ?? What is this product, we are unaware of it's existence and is it available by mail-order ?
