Spoken with the wisdom of a 1000 year old man. I have heard this before ''nothing in common'', like what? music, TV shows ... who cares. My 23 year old wife loves me, and I love her. We travel, go camping, fishing and learn about each other and what we like and do, this is how we develop things in common, we learn together. This is the same all over the globe.
Yeah 12 years is a nice age gap..mines 20 years but I dated western women the same age gap. I prefer the values of the modern Filipina..it’s the perfect modern mix.
My wife and i age gap is 27 years. Our birthdays are 8 days apart she is always happy to do anything i want to do. she is more mature than most grown women in America ad loves to have fun while taking care of me and our family. we have been married 15 years in June. What we have in common is we love life. also the longer you have been together you learn to have many things in common it takes time to see what each other loves doing. My wife is wonderful wouldnt change a thing about her. I invest in many things to make sure her and my child are taken care of long after i am gone. I am one year older than her father i love her family we get along great. and my parents had no problems with my wife and how young she is. My dad even traveled to Philippines to meet her and our child. Now she is 1 year older than my daughter she had a problem with it cause they were almost same age. but she now has gotten over it and all is great.
Some years ago, I was visiting London and was taken by my upscale relatives to a very upscale nightclub. The richest and most powerful men in the world filled this club every night and on their arms were young, gorgeous women, dressed in equally gorgeous couture and jewellery. My host told me that these women were not escorts or casual companions but wives. He jokingly said that they were Uncles and Nieces but then said seriously, these couples were in his experience, happy, committed, successful couples and the men had deliberately chosen their wives for beauty, brains and above all, loyalty. My relative’s wife was 25yrs younger than he was and was exactly as he described......beautiful, educated, really smart and as loyal as they come. She supported him in every respect, enabling him to be tremendously productive in his businesses. Neither he, nor his like-minded friends and business colleagues, gave a damn about what anyone else thought of their marriages and frankly, were very clear that it was no-one's business! I had a great time there that night and met some really interesting people, living their best lives!
Let us say you were 25 percent weaker than every guy on earth. But you are very handsome. Because you are weak you are constantly getting your ass kicked. Some old lady marries your weak young ass and provides you with comfort and security. Would you stay married even as you get weaker everyday or would you get weaker everyday and go back out the door into the wolves. The Grand Ma' story!

Glad to have you back! The way I see it , people want a " live and let live" pass in life, but only when it concerns their own deviation from the norm.
I sold insurance a few years back and had the opportunity to be in a lot of peoples homes here in the USA. I was surprised to see that age gaps are very common even among US born folks and I'm not talking about just a few years difference. For some reason or another we don't seem to notice them but there are a lot out there.
Very well said. I would also add that sometimes as you have said the couple can be judged just by looks I for example was speaking of this age gap thing with a foreigner in the Philippines and he was against big age gaps (I was with my Filipina when we were talking) and in the same conversation he was saying that her and I looked like a good match. I then told him that she was 27 and I was 58 (at the time) and he was surprised at the age gap ...that was 7 years ago and we are still a couple :) Also most Pinay while age may not matter they do like a man that looks after themselves as in clean/well dressed etc OVER age
Scotty, I just got done playing pickeball with a bunch of grumpy l, retired American women then I come home and see videos and I feel alive again. Thanks
Seek validation from your friends and family in everything you do (job, relationship, goals, dreams) if you want to achieve nothing and experience nothing.
You are 100% right! Most of these closed minded idiots push their personal views on age gaps in a relationship. If couples love each other for one reason or another, who cares.
You stated many valid points on the difference between western/PI culture. Yeah, it's a tad uncomfortable at first for Mr. Western to get attention from young gals but that's only because we're not used to it. The claim about money is hypocrisy since no western woman marries down financially. A great video my man 👍
Yes, the "You're exploiting them because they are poor" is one of the dumbest things I've ever heard in my 60 yrs. These same people are the ones wanting to be waited on hand and foot by young people whenever they walk into any establishment. "My coffee is too cold can you heat it up?............Oh, now it's too hot...Are you trying to burn me? They are quite comfortable with exploitation.
Good advice Scootty.. ppl really should mind their own business....if 2 ppl are happy in their relationship, regardless of the age gap, that is their business..
Nice one ! you were in good shape today ah ! lots of very valid points and interesting comparisons. You were able to put situations into context in a great way.
Scotty, your logic is unassailable. As someone in a 30 year age gap with a Filipina, I am surprised by how well it works. We have a wonderful relationship. We are both better off for having each other.
I didn't really think it was cool, and it made me a bit uncomfortable until I found myself in one. Now I get it. She is the best thing that has ever happened to me. She kept after me and convinced me and loves me in a way that I have never been loved before. Simply amazing.
Glad to see you back, Scotty! It’s great to see your walk-throughs and talks. So many are so judgmental and it’s so unkind. I would be curious to hear the Filipino/a point of view on some subjects, out of curiosity. My bestie who is from Boracay has said a lot more has become accepting.
I recall a guy complaining that he can't talk to his girlfriend about things like following pro sports... made me think when you are outside your home country how pointless and how it doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things in life. It is just a temporary diversion from things that really matter.
You nailed it! There are so many logical reasons why it shouldn't be an issue, it seems a bit crazy that people want to poke their noses in other people's business😄 To be fair, although I've seen people make comments about the age gap on social media and in UA-cam comments (keyboard warriors), I've never had anyone say something to my face 😉 When it's all said and done what matters is that you are both happy. Beyond that, it's no one else business🙂
Great stuff Scotty, most people don't think for themselves and just repeat whatever someone else has told them Mother etc. It actually takes agency and consciousness to break from the herd and do your own thing and think for yourself. Most people are NPCs and always will be.
I am 60 and my Filipina girlfriend is 39. We have a 21 year age gap and no problem that I can see. People in the USA make more comments than Filipinos do. But, some Filipinos have made comments too. But, whether we stay together depends ourselves, not the rest of the world.
All true. Met my fiancé when 28 and me 60. Now I am 67 and we are marrying and happy . Ignore what others say. It is your life, not theirs. You are not them. It is ok for you to tell them that.
Wow, that was really different. I do agree that everyone should do what they think is best for their life. My personal opinion is once the gap is so wide, it's just a matter of convenience for each other. Everyone sees a relationship or marriage differently. My opinion is that I want a responsible partner and to have things in common. Yes, in common, like we know the same generational things. And as every mature adult will know, you change about every decade of your life and your priorities, outlook, future planning, etc. all change. Having someone with similar thinking and experiences will usually be more fulfilling, this is just for me. Everyone has their own needs and wants so I don't judge, this is just for me and I could care less what others do as long as they are both consenting adults. It's really good to hear others opinions on the matter though and thanks for the walk through AC! PS - Who says "beeswax" anymore...hahaha, common on, man.
I agree that the extreme age gap relationships are strictly transactional. Me personally, a gap of no more than 15 years is my rule. Your share priorities will be more numerous. While also somewhat splitting generations to make.more informed decisions and keep up with societal and technological change.
You make me understand something. I like your perspective. On most dating sites, I was wondering why a lot of young Filipinos in 18-25 already have a child. And looking for older boyfriends in 50-60.
Great contrasts, I enjoyed the insights and had a laugh. One life to live make it yours! Classic Scotty boy. Back in the philly willy where he belongs thanks Scotty!
There was a time when I did not understand age gaps. I new a man in his 80's with a 38 year old single mom. Of course he was a wealthy restauranteur plus many other side businesses. I would say to myself what do they have in common ( big band music). Now I realize that it was that she probably did love him and likewise for him plus she and her daughter would be set for life. In the end there is no reason for someone wanting to have financial security. We all know that most women want that, ask any female on the street what they want, 6 figures and so on. The only thing they get wrong is how old the man should be and his height.
@@Regular_Guyph I really appreciate your perspective, your intelligence, and your playful sarcasm. I pray you prosper, God protects you and increases your influence in peoples lives with helpful truths.
@@Regular_Guyph I think I've seen just about all of your videos, and this one is perhaps your best one yet, due to your excellent treatment of this age-gap consideration. Some very good reasons that man-woman relationships are so successful with age gaps of many decades are: 1. Young women want a life-experienced partner to teach them the "wisdom of the ages" from their senior husbands. 2. Young wives will live stress-free with a senior husband who will be able to avoid any possible troubles before those possible troubles occur within her family. A young husband will most likely not see problems developing. 3. An older husband will view their relationship and marriage more responsibly in many aspects of their marriage, including finances, child rearing and caring, spousal fidelity, better future planning traits, better ability to provide a life without poverty, and on and on. 4. A senior husband will be more likely to treasure his younger wife than a younger man would. 5. Given more time, I'm certain we older men could come up with many additional reasons.
In America there is such stigma against an age gap over 10 or 15 years that you might be shunned if you did it. When I was in my 40's I have had several young women some even teenagers wanting to get really friendly with me but I had to take it as infatuation even though it set me back every time it happened. Now I wonder how it might have gone if it wasn't so taboo here. It is up to the older man to plan ahead for your partner.

my last 2 lady friends were both younger than i am, 1 was 10 years younger, that lasted for 3 years and the next was 17 years younger that lasted for 4 years, i discovered that younger ladies are fun at first. loving and the sex was great, but their maturity levels are not the same, like i said it was fun for awhile but got old fast, so have fun for a couple years and then Move them along.
There is an 18 year age gap between me and my wife. I was 41 and she was 23 when we got married. I really didn't care. It was not my plan to find someone that young but it just worked out that way. Now that I am 60 and she is 42, the age gap is even less of a deal.

“I have nothing in common with a 17 year old, 18…now you’re talking.” Howard Stern.
11:50 - No, he's proud that she found a foreigner who will provide a better life for her and her family
Mine is 37 younger....LOVE IT
My wife is 12 years younger than me and we have been married for the last 15 years. And of course she's a filipina.
12 years is nothing
Yeah 12 years is a nice age gap..mines 20 years but I dated western women the same age gap. I prefer the values of the modern Filipina..it’s the perfect modern mix.
I dont marry. I lease. Once a person gets married is true, a ball and chain.
@@craigk2644 Well different strokes..you’ll never truly feel the love of a Filipina though. But ya might not want that ..
@@craigk2644 and the women change when they marry, i prefer to have freedom
The Grand Ma' story!
good comment. thx for posting.
Yes age gap relationships happen all the time even in the west, but mostly among the rich and famous.
Up on the hill people never stare they just don’t care… AJA . People on top don’t care only the lower class.
@@marioarias9942so true. the reason being, their opinions are irrelevant.
Welcome back, Scotty Boy, you've been sorely missed. Looking forward to more of your stellar storytelling prowess and comedic genius in the next video hopefully in the near future.

Welcome back Scotty. Many of your subscribers here have missed you. Great video. Really applies to me and my much younger Filipina wife. We both live deep in the province of Cebu.
If you love her kids, you have THAT IN COMMON. That is huge to Filipinas.
I agree with everything said in this video!
Just as long as someone’s happy, who cares how old their girlfriend is! It’s none of their business!
Great video !!!
Let’s see that new motor scooter take a trip !!!
Outstanding presentation. You have made this subject understandable to all except those who choose NOT to understand.
Great video Scotty, I'm with you.... to hell with the western thinking ! Go with your heart, if she is 20 or above and is into you then why the hell not....only here on this earth for a short time.
I watched a couple of your vlogs, months ago and didn't think much of them.
But this vlog ✅ is absolutely correct 💯
Impressed 👍 well done
Very well said. I would also add that sometimes as you have said the couple can be judged just by looks I for example was speaking of this age gap thing with a foreigner in the Philippines and he was against big age gaps (I was with my Filipina when we were talking) and in the same conversation he was saying that her and I looked like a good match. I then told him that she was 27 and I was 58 (at the time) and he was surprised at the age gap ...that was 7 years ago and we are still a couple :)
Also most Pinay while age may not matter they do like a man that looks after themselves as in clean/well dressed etc OVER age
Scotty, I just got done playing pickeball with a bunch of grumpy l, retired American women then I come home and see videos and I feel alive again. Thanks
welcome back! this is a great segment! you explained AGRs very well.
Really glad you got to see your father. Great to see you back making vlog-aroonies.
Seek validation from your friends and family in everything you do (job, relationship, goals, dreams) if you want to achieve nothing and experience nothing.
Scott boy you were in the zone when you produced this one! Great points and explanation!
What a resonating vid. I'm 55 and still don't tell my parents much about my personal life as they simply seem to frown upon my decisions!
It is wonderful that you can think so clearly! There is a saying, "TO EACH THEIR OWN!"
Good advice Scootty.. ppl really should mind their own business....if 2 ppl are happy in their relationship, regardless of the age gap, that is their business..
every westerner needs to see this video !!!!! Young ladies can also bring calm and respect
I have learned some important lessons from this video. Thanks for sharing, Scott.
Nice one ! you were in good shape today ah ! lots of very valid points and interesting comparisons. You were able to put situations into context in a great way.
i thought it will be another boring topic to listen to, but u made a presentation on this same topic which is the best of the bests...amazing 👍
Congratulations for those young women who are able to love a mature man maybe with a little interest but this kind of honest tought comes from PH.
Scotty, your logic is unassailable. As someone in a 30 year age gap with a Filipina, I am surprised by how well it works. We have a wonderful relationship. We are both better off for having each other.
Hey cool man I agree
You are spot on, Mr. Regular Guy!!!
I didn't really think it was cool, and it made me a bit uncomfortable until I found myself in one. Now I get it. She is the best thing that has ever happened to me. She kept after me and convinced me and loves me in a way that I have never been loved before. Simply amazing.
Welcome back Scottie Boy.Good advice with respect to any relationship is no advice.
Good narrative. Much better. I like the footage with your commentary and you sound much more measured.
Just found this channel. 100% agree with you.
Your narrative in this video is great - enjoyable 🙂
An excellent vid! Always enjoying the independent straight up talk!!
Scotty, our guru, our leader and our savior.😀
The beautiful thing about being care-free and foot loose, IDGF what others think. Live and let live.
At last ! Very nice video. Thoughtful as usual. We always feel that others haven’t an opened enough mind, and they agree on that too 😀
Great stuff Scotty, most people don't think for themselves and just repeat whatever someone else has told them Mother etc.
It actually takes agency and consciousness to break from the herd and do your own thing and think for yourself.
Most people are NPCs and always will be.
Good video Scotty. People always lose their minds over this ridiculous issue. I find it entertaining.
If everyone would mind their own business, it would be a better world to live in. Life is hard as it is. No need for extra BS. Live the way you like.
Excellent analysis of this topic. I agree most of you explained.
You crack me up, love your videos, and your so right in what you say.
Glad to see you back making videoronis
I rarely watch a (non-music) UA-cam twice. This one is well worth multiple viewings.
Great explanation, this is clear and logical, good job 👍🏼
You make me understand something. I like your perspective. On most dating sites, I was wondering why a lot of young Filipinos in 18-25 already have a child. And looking for older boyfriends in 50-60.
Great contrasts, I enjoyed the insights and had a laugh. One life to live make it yours! Classic Scotty boy. Back in the philly willy where he belongs thanks Scotty!
Glad you’re back posting mate.
Brendan thanks to you too
One of your better posts. Nice job !
Absolutely Hilarious!! You had me in stitches. Awesome work Scottie!! Truth fused with whit with a comical twist! Brilliant!
I agree with everything that you said Scotty 👍. Great vid
This was your best video yet.
Separately, why are you and Gio no longer on friendly terms?
Very good post, lots of common sense and also very entertaining ! 😊 Thank you for sharing...
Great video.. very reasonable explanations. Thank-you for sharing!

Some very good reasons that man-woman relationships are so successful with age gaps of many decades are:
6. BOOBIES!
My Filipina fiance is 29 and I am 49. I couldn't care less about what anyone else thinks about our relationship.
For the Philippines that is a small age gap.... you are right we all have to follow our own hearts
Great stuff Scotty

Thank you sir
Scotty Boy, best vid to date. Words well spoken Sir! I hope you’re well. JM
I'm 54 and my filipina is 57...we met in the uk and live there....the beauty with filipinas is they look 20 years younger than they actually are when they get older😊....have a lovely temperament and have fun without getting drunk....every man should have a filipina
my last 2 lady friends were both younger than i am, 1 was 10 years younger, that lasted for 3 years and the next was 17 years younger that lasted for 4 years, i discovered that younger ladies are fun at first. loving and the sex was great, but their maturity levels are not the same, like i said it was fun for awhile but got old fast, so have fun for a couple years and then Move them along.
Wise to link past videos…hopefully it will increase your views, likes and subscribers. Enjoyed this vid. Glad you are back.
This was well put together.
There is an 18 year age gap between me and my wife. I was 41 and she was 23 when we got married. I really didn't care. It was not my plan to find someone that young but it just worked out that way. Now that I am 60 and she is 42, the age gap is even less of a deal.
I agree that age is just a number. If two people are happy then let them be
I especially love th e ending ... mind your own business! -- Priceless.
Glad to see you again!
Your sarcasm has hit god mood keep it up
I always felt sorry for the young Filipina with old foreign man while living there. But what you said actually makes a lot of sense. I will always prefer a mature and elegant woman.
