And Slap out Alabama should be on this list.
You forgot to mention one thing about French Lick Indiana. It's also the birthplace of NBA legend Larry Bird.
You serious, got intercourse pa as blue ball is right beside it and not included!? 🤣
You could look in Mississippi for Killmickel for a name
French Lick, Indiana’s most famous resident is the NBA legend from the Boston Celtics, Larry Bird 🏀
How could you miss Toad Suck, Arkansas? 😂😂😂
Just outside of Conway.
As an Arkansan, I’m in agreement
I have a shirt from there.
@@randymcphink3924is that town named after the American actor Tim Conway? 😁😁
@@SandraCat22 It was named after Arkansas first elected governor
I remember an article in a northern Minnesota newspaper. "Fertile man dies in Climax."
Coming and going at the same time ?
@@DaveDunning-st1hh what a way to go!
There’s a town here in Canada in the province of Newfoundland called Dildo
As an Alaskan, I always believed that Chicken was named Chicken because the miners there could not agree on how to spell Ptarmigan.
Lolol probably true
And don't forget Question and next to it Answer, Alaska
I remember reading once a tongue-in-cheek article titled "Paradise is hotter than Hell". It told a lot about both towns.
Accident, MD. If a person is born in Mars, Pennsylvania, does that make that person an American born Martian?😂😂😂
Dude, 100% it does!!!
Mars is pretty close to Venus, isn't it?
You missed Blue Balls PA. What makes it even funnier is that it's just a few miles from Intercourse. Don't forget Pylesville MD.
Here in Arkansas we have Possum Grape, Hog Eye, Blue Ball & Turkey Scratch just to name a few. Thank goodness I live in Sherwood!😉
And Evening Shade.
Whuh? No mention of Toad Suck, AR?
Also Goober Town
I’m from Little Rock and was raised in Maumelle Arkansas
I live in Newfoundland. Your whole country has nothing on us!
Cut and Shoot was named by an 8 year old kid, not an adult.
The kid was at a town meeting where everyone was arguing. He said said he was scared and was going to cut around the corner and shoot through the bushes. The adults thought it was funny and named the town Cut and Shoot.
There is a Climax and Eden, both very close to Greensboro, NC !
You forgot Climax and Fertile, both in Minnesota. Needmore and Bean Blossom, both in Indiana, are contenders, too.
Those are golden!!!
NC has a Climax too
Iowa also has a Climax and a Fertile.
Recently saw a picture of an exit sign for a Climax with the caption "Is this where I get off?"
You could also have gone for Gnaw Bone and Stone Head in Indiana. All in Brown County.
@@phillipaddison3428 I've been to Gnaw Bone, Indiana - great choice.
There's a Township of Embarrass in Wisconsin too. Has the Embarrass River and it's tributaries in it also.
As someone from Michigan, we not only have Hell, but Paradise too.
Hey ! Keep Tecumseh a secret; please !
@@warrenoleary2168 Not sure if you’re joking, but there is literally a town named Paradise in Michigan.
I'm originally from Battle Crack. A guy I know works at a printing shop in Tecumseh.
Not questioning its existence but my " paradise " is Tecumseh ! Lived here 21 . 5 yrs. & a refugee from N.J. !@@a.grimes4202
Tecumseh; great town.@@soco13466
The pictures don't always correspond to the actual town names.
I noticed that! My sister lives in Boring, Oregon and the picture of Mt Hood was the only one that matched the area! That’s too bad, because it gives a false impression of what one could see when visiting.
That definitely wasn't Truth or Consequence either...
I am familiar with Cut and Shoot, Texas. I saw no actual scenes of it. I doubt the connection of any of the scenes to the narrative.
I have never heard of Bangs Texas but I sould betthat you will not find any multi story office buildings there.
How'd you miss Hopeulikeit, GA? LOL
Slapout, Alabama
Bug Tussle, Texas
Basketball Hall of Famer Larry Bird grew up in French Lick, IN.
Granny from "Beverly Hillbillies" said she was from Bugtussle, Tn. It is ~5 miles from Tn on the Kentucky side. It gets its name from two tumble bugs (a type of dung beetle) fighting over a piece of poo. They would really have been a mated pair preparing to lay eggs on the poo.
French Lick is #11. (Or were you just giving a fact about it, rather than suggesting it should be on the list?)
@@beeble2003 just given a fact about it
You know what they say about Indiana: South Bend is in the north, North Vernon is in the south, and French Lick ain’t what you think
@@rbb9753 LOL
If it's the weekend, you don't have to go to Flippin school, but you might have to go to Flippin church. Just don't get stopped by the Flippin police on your way to Flippin walmart. Love from Flippin, Arkansas.
Lolol love it !!!
I’m from Arkansas and my dad was raised in Crosset Arkansas
I lived in the Twin Lakes area of Arkansas for 29 years! Saw the name Flippin, and knew instantly it had to be my old stomping ground! Flippin, Yellville, Cotter, Bull Shoals, Mountain Home, Calico Rock were all familiar places to me. Love all the funny names in Arkansas: Eros, Snow, Toad Suck, and so many more…
My favorite in passing through was the Bank of Yellville, Flippen office. That, and the Flippen Church of Christ.
Don’t forget Smackover😅
My favorite quirky town name is in Canada: Dildo, New Foundland.
Jimmy Kimmel is the “mayor” there 📺 😂
Tennessee has a lot of unique names too such as Yum Yum, Calf Killer, and the list goes on and on.
A friend of mine and former boss is from Monkey's Eyebrow, Ky. He said there isn't any town left, but it was once a river town named because the Ohio and Mississippi rivers along the western edge of Kentucky form the shape of a Monkey's Head. The town was placed where the eyebrow would be.
10:26 Every winter, Hell really does freeze over.
I don't know whether to be HAPPY or SAD!!
These town names are the funniest thing I have come across.. 😊
Thanks tor the laugh, great video!
Paducah,Kentucky is halfway between Possum Trot and Monkeys Eyebrow. That’s the local joke and it’s true! Was expecting to hear about Possum Trot after Monkey’s Eyebrow. Local TV station always said the transmitter was located in Monkeys Eyebrow.
Ten Sleep, Wyoming; Corkscrew, Florida; Toad Suck, Arkansas; Soso, Mississippi; King of Prussia, Pennsylvania; Venus, Florida and Jupiter, Florida (funny when considered together; not so much individually); Weed, Oregon; Bitter End, Tennessee; and Humptulips, Washington.
W
Hump Two Lips....... eh ?
@@DaveDunning-st1hh That, or the more obvious "copulating with a flower" image. I can honestly say that I never thought about your variation. Although it's not in the same area of the state, the area around Puget Sound has an enormous Dutch population and there are many tulips there (75% of the tulips in the US are from western Washington). I remember the tulip festivals every year from my time in Washington, and the sight of the tulips every spring was always a delight. I wasn't a happy person during my time in Washington, but between the tulips in the spring and the lavender in the fall, the flowers were not the reason for my depression.
@@UserHorologium Flowers are indeed the plant's sexual organs, after all.
In addition to an earlier mention of Blue Ball PA missing from the list, there are also the nearby small towns of Bird In Hand, Paradise, and Eden (and, yes, everybody who lives in that region knows the connotations of their town names). Also missing: Weed CA (apparently there's one in OR, too...), Earth TX (small, and very, VERY flat -- great place to shoot a "flat earth" video!).
You had me at loonieville.
There’s Kickapoo in Louisiana 😂
Why are there so many shots of sites not even in the US? Switzerland, Ireland just to name a few.
Would like to see more videos of strange and funny cities name. Enjoyed the video.
Back in 2019, Hell, Michigan got so cold that "Hell" literally "froze over".
West Texas has Study Butte. ( Study pronounced stoo-dy, like Wes Study, and Butte prounounced like a shortened version of beauty ). Most people mispronounce it and make it sound like someone had an academic interest in posteriors.
What about Peculiar Missouri? It is a very nice town south of Kansas City Mo. The mayor of Peculiar told me I belonged there when I attended government training there and parked my vintage hearse in front of City Hall every day for a three-week course held at Peculiar City Hall. The people I met at Peculiar were all pretty nice and had a good sense of humor about the name of their town.
Two Egg, Florida in the Panhandle, Jackson County.
I grew up in California one city over from Placentia, and have never thought the name odd. We in Orange County pronounce it Pla sen cha…not strange at all.
I grew up in Fullerton and never thought of Placentia as weird either. I don't think he showed the actual city and the ocean is at least 30 minutes away.
@@russgoldman5482 I grew up in Fullerton too!
Seeing it having an A&E series by the same, I thought for sure you were going to mention Lizard Lick, NC. This after my experiencing a couple weeks in nearby Zebulon, and going through LL a couple times.
My junior high earth science teacher in New Mexico had worked for a while at Dinosaur National Monument. I had him for the 1963-64 school year, a couple of years before the nearby town took on the name of Dinosaur.
What was the town’s original name?
@@oooh19 Baxter Springs
cool. ive visited many states but new mexico is 1 i still have to check out@@billolsen4360
Christmas Valley Oregon always gets me since it's a desert town...very small (but slowly growing...like it recently getting a Dollar General) and cute little town doesn't strike anything Christmas into mind when there. Their biggest town wide Holliday celebration they do I'd actually the 4th of July. With a parade, bazaar, demolition derby, arm wrestling competition, a big fireworks show and much more. I always ponder on its name.
Blue balls, PA is right down the road. from Intercourse....lol
LOL, I would not live in that area..I could not keep a straight face to tell anyone WHERE I lived or what town was close by...Who named these places?? 😂
Always liked Humptulips, Washington.
or dosewallips
An honorable mention goes to the Mianus section of Greenwich CT. It's not unusual for people to misread or mispronounce it as "my anus." And I think the state DOT got rid of the Mianus exit sign on a major highway because people would steal the sign with 'Mianus' on it.
An unincorporated community SW of Chillicothe, OH is surprisingly missing. Knockemstiff
😂love it
Yaayyyyy!!!!!!!
Mysterious but reasonable,wonderful!
Yesssss
You missed two that would blow all 20 off your list. Bald Knob, Arkansas and Toad Suck, also in Arkansas. And don't get me on the names of some of the restaurants in Little Rock. LOL
How about Biggers Arkansas , Battle Creek Michigan or Mud Lick Kentucky ?
Just down the road from Monkeys Eyebrow is a little town named Possum Trot, Kentucky
Daaang love it
Hello from Hog Scald, Arkansaw.
Oh, I am so disappointed that my town, Yellville, in Arkansas, is not on your list!
Hmm nicely narrated, we'll edited and very beautifuly explained.Nice content keep it up.leaving a subscribe for you ..
Thank you so much!
Its uncertain how Uncertain got its name, Why has a questionable name 😂😂😂. When it comes to humiliating names Embarrass takes the cake 😂. I lost my virginty in Intercouse or Bangs😂
What! No mention of Hump Tulips in Washington. Thanks P. C.
or walla walla
You missed Possum Trot Kentucky and Maggie's Nipples Nevada.
Honorable mention shall go to Climax, Michigan
Dang. Turnip Hole, Pennsylvania didn't even get mentioned. LOL
Omg…My final one for Pa…Scalp level Pa…😂😂😂😂
OMG YOURE ON A ROLL!!!!! STOP AND GIVE ME FIFTY MORE!!!!!
If the town of Humptulips isn't on this list it makes no sense.
WHAT! IT WILL ON PART 2 THATS AWESOME
Some of cities are really hilarious.😂
Especially “SANTA CLAUS and DING DONG”
Nicely edited🎉
Thank you!
I've been to Hell and I've also been to Paradise and I didn't have to leave Michigan to do it. It was a long drive, though.
Embarrass is where my father lived till he graduated from high school. Then moved on to Forest Lake MN. No shortage of funny names in Minnesota.
Actually, Placentia, CA is named after Placencia Yorba, the beautiful daughter of local rancher Teodosio Yorba. Also named after her is the nearby town of Yorba Linda, so named for her beauty.
I don't want to be stopped by the Monkey Eyebrow police
I went to Santa Claus and French Lick and had a good time. Thank you so much for the memories!
I love both places. The world needs to discover them.
How about the other neat town near Paducah, KY: you got Monkey’s Eyebrow, but how about Possum Trot?
Loves Park, Illinois (The city with a heart) on valentine day Loves Park post office post marks mail with a special postmark.
That’s awesome! And great fun fact!!!
Virginville Pa…Pillow…PA…Ono PA…Paint Pa….California Pa….
Truth Or Consequences we New Mexicans call it T-or-C and I’m from Lordsburg 🤣👍
Good to see another one of us here!!! ABQ represent ✌️
When I was a kid we had a sign kicking around in our house, that said something like "INTERCOURSE 10 MILES .... PARADISE. 11 MILES'.
Paradise is a bit further than one mile.
Intercourse leading to Paradise. Makes sense.
Nice video
What about Panacea, FL? Holopaw, FL, Christmas, FL, Bunker Donation, Couch, Yellow Jacket, Bratt, Celebration, Cadillac, Cooks Hammock, Day, Rattlesnake Bend, Early Bird, Fluffy Landing, Frostproof, Mayo, Ocheesee, Needmore, Okahumpka, Possum Bluff, Roach, Romeo, Sopchoppy, Tobacco Patch, Two Egg, Med Art.
Canada has a few names such as Medicine Hat, Alberta; Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan; St-Louis-du-Ha!Ha!, Quebec; Punkydoodles Corners, Ontario; and, of course, Dildo, Newfoundland.
Ooohhhhhhhh Canada video would be fun!!!!
Don’t forget there is also a Vulcan, Alberta, Canada 🇨🇦 where the whole town is decked out with a Star Trek theme from the TV Show and Movies.
Start with Blue Ball, then go through Virginville, have Intercourse and reach Paradise, PA !
Just saw your text after calling the same. Lol cheers from Montreal
9:07 Did anyone else catch the motorcycle rider getting hit by a car running through the intersection? A few seconds later, the narrator is highlighting Accident, Maryland and you can see a police car pull up and stop in response.
0:42 me who “lives” in FL: I WANT TO VISIT YEEHAW JUNCTION!!
There is also a Santa Claus in California (on the beach just south of Santa Barbara).
Placentia is pronounced Pla-cen-sha.
At 9:23 is seen a little village in switzerland named Lauterbrunnen. You can see the church and in the background the famous waterfall „Staubbachfall“. I live 15 minutes away from there.
Funny, but I always remember Mianus, from the old Jackass programme 😂😂😂
Note that Accident MD is nowhere near Detour MD
As an OTR truck driver, I went to, thru, or past many, many oddly named towns. Many on this list, and many not on this list; Toad Suck, Elvira, Herculaneum (is that like Kryptonite, but for Hercules?😂), What Cheer (is that with an ! or ?), Nowhere, and on and on. I’ve even driven Paris to Mexico to Florida, in just a few hours.
God bless you Sir!! ❤😊
I can’t believe you missed Toad Suck, AR.
In Germany we have some places, where the name has relation to heaven and this means, there is a Christmas post office, where people reply to letters, that children writes to Santa Claus.
Blanding, Utah and Christmas, Michigan are 2 more. People actually go to Christmas Mi, which is in the Upper Peninsula) to have Christmas Cards stamped with the town name. Thanks
Yep. I’m from Michigan, the southern Lower part, and when my dad was younger and he and the rest of the family were all in the car driving around in the U.P. (in a time of year nowhere near winter season), my grandpa joked to everyone that he wasn’t stopping for gas again until Christmas. Nobody but him knew about the town and my grandma freaked out...until they all saw the sign for Christmas, MI.
Also, there’s a Climax, MI, and a more famous example from Arizona is a place called Nowhere.
There is a town in Quebec named "Saint Luis du Ha! Ha!" complete with exclamation marks. No one knows where the name came from, and that includes the Official Provincial Librarian. And in Tennessee there is a town called "Bucksnort" - on Interstate 40 about 54 miles southwest of Nashville.
Minihaha
There is also an Embarrass Wisconsin. I grew up 15 miles from there.
New York State has a community named Ohnoville. It was once named "Jugville", but the townspeople wanted another name.
After each name came the cry"Oh,no!"
This gradually caught on ,and "Ohnoville" stuck.Larry😁
There are many other towns that didn’t get mentioned such as Bear, Delaware, and in downstate Delaware there’s a village named Blades, Delaware, Wawa, Pennsylvania is another one which is not far from Philadelphia,PA & Wilmington, Delaware & close to hteMason-Dixon line.
Pennsylvania has Paradise. North Carolina has Whynot
LOVE IT
In my travels I have been to odd places like Butt Hollow, WV and Howie in the Hills, FL. I'm sure there are dozens of uniquely named places in US and it's fun to see 'em. Cheers....
Burnt Cabin Pa…Panic Pa…Hazard Pa….Chinchilla Pa…Forty fort Pa….Normalville Pa…Upper Black Eddy Pa…Can you tell am from Pennsylvania….lmao
Roy "Cut-and-Shoot" Harris was a heavyweight boxer from that town. He fought Floyd Patterson for the world championship and actually floored Patterson. However, Patterson came back and won the fight.
Bugtussle Kentucky by far the best I’ve heard of
From a native Californian, it's PLA-CENT-CHA
It's a robot voice. Doesn't know any better.
I have pictures of signs for Stupidville and next area is Nosy Valley in Morgan County TN
Glad you got Yeehaw Junction, Florida. Been there several times. My favorite from years ago was finding out the fierce competition between them and Clewiston for the title of "Best Florida Barbeque." (Who knew there was a bbq competion in Florida? 😁)
If you ever want to do town names that have a twin, there is not only Dime Box Texas, but not far away is Old Dime Box TX as well
How can you mention Intercourse Pa without mentioning Blue Ball?
They changed the name of Intercourse to Coitus interruptus after it was bisected by the new Interstate highway
@@kuvasz5252 nice
@@kuvasz5252
And which interstate highway would that be? There is none. And it is still Intercourse.

It's bull.
Or bird in hand
I was sad that the pictures were only occasionally of the cities to what she was referring to.
You are correct.
I assume French Lick, Indiana is where basketball player and NBA Hall of Fame member Larry Bird is from, as I saw that on the HBO series “Winning Time” that was recently cancelled due too much controversy about that show.
French Lick…hometown of one of the greatest basketball players in history: Larry Bird.
I have some names for you: Lizard Lick, NC; Tight Squeeze, VA; Scotland Neck, NC; Old Hundred, NC
GOLD! Including in Part 2!!!
Years ago I heard of a town of Anything, Arizona population 4 if I recall. Is this town still in existence?
