Going down Neperan Rd into Main Street did you pass the YMCA on the left? I have fond memories of TARRYTOWN with Mr Gray, Director, Mr. Garrison, swimming Director in my childhood! In the 60s. I don't recall names of streets but I remember it situated on a hill. We used to walk up the hill and go fishing at the Tarrytown lake. Down the hill was the train station. I'm sure that's the Street and big building before the steep drop! Great memories! Anyone know for sure? Anyone else attend Summer Day Camp?
Broadway = US 9. This is the northern extension of the famous BROADWAY of New York City. US 9 joins I-95 and US 1 crossing the Hudson at the George Washington Bridge, Broadway continues south toward the Battery on Manhattan Island. Just before the video began, US 9 was taking Mileage Mike through Sleep Hollow. Yes, THAT Sleepy Hollow. It was once named North Tarrytown. North of Sleepy Hollow is Ossining (a.k.a. Sing-Sing) as in the prison "Up the river". My father was a Correctional Officer there before moving to Green Haven Prison then Matteawan State Hospital for the Criminally Insane. Now defunct.
You have ghost cars in Tarrytown?😂 I’m going to New York in December and looking for day adventures outside of the city do you recommend Tarrytown via train/subway?
I study Google Maps for fun at times so I have a pretty good idea of where I want to go when I get to the town but I'll adjust the route in real-time while filming depending on what I see going on. I keep a device for GPS in the car so that I can know where I'm going while filming.
It's definitely going to be a challenge. I was there back in 2013 and it was exhausting just trying to drive out of the city (assuming you're talking about Chicago).
@@MileageMikeTravels Actually I was referring to Yonkers, NY ... since you've travelled through a portion of Westchester County. But that could be exhausting too because of its topography. Just sayin'. 🤠
Thanks for taking me home to Westchester. And thanks for calling it the Tappan Zee--keeping that history of the Hudson Valley alive.
Looks like Tarrytown is a very nice & quiet place.
A nice drive thru Tarrytown. I wonder if the next video will be a drive thru the former North Tarrytown, now known as Sleepy Hollow.
Coming soon but have another video releasing before that one.

Nice catch of the Hudson Link bus, Bee-Line bus, and the Tarrytown MNRR Station used by MTA and bypassed by Amtrak & ViaRail.

I'lle interested to see how you navigate thru the state's 3rd largest city (Hint: per the 2020 Census). 🤠
