I'm not a foreign trained dentist, but my husband and I recently moved to the east coast. So, I had to take the ADEX exam (after not practicing general dentistry for 4 years) to get a dental license at our new location. It gave me a tiny glimpse of what foreign dentists have to do to practice in the US. So much respect for you guys!
That’s very interesting!! Congrats! Being married really does add another layer of complexity. Glad you guys could figure out a reasonable situation for the both of you!
I’m glad you are together with your husband & back in Boston. I wasn’t so lucky. During the 3rd year, I came down with colitis ended up with a permanent ileostomy & dropped out. I had scholarships w/stipend and spent little out of pocket, for both BS degree & 3 years of dental school. The government & various benefactors wasted about $150,000 on my science education. I lost a major organ. I changed majors to business & earned an MBA. While researching for a term paper, I chanced upon yearly state funding figures for graduate students -$40,000 per student. No wonder the dean wanted me back! Not only “No,” but “Hell, No!” Dental school was way, way, too subjective for me. Plus 2 years of rote memorization & multiple multiple guess tests. What a waste of time & opportunity. No wonder BU accepted you! It’s all about the money! The year I quit, 6 other students quit or flunked out. One student simply ran out of money. $$$ =(
KC! Congratulations!! What's meant to be will always work out, we may never know the reason but in the end it'll be good for you, your husband and your careers! Good luck for this new chapter in your lives!
Hii KC! Super Video as always! I got a weird question.. I’m moving to Boston soon to attend BU and I got a bigger dog like you do. It’s almost impossible to find a rental. How did you guys do it?? Around what location would you recommend?
Aww this is so sweet..the real love between 2 people willing to sacrifice for one another.. I was very curious honestly and i m glad u did this video. Congratulations to both of you. Wish you the very best.
Could you make a video on how to make our application strong for dental schools? I'm still in 3rd year of my dental school in India. I'm really looking forward to get in a dental program in the US and I hope I am able to some day. Could you make a guide on how long should we work as dental assistants, how to get into research stuff when we work as dental assistants and what other stuff could I do to make my application stronger and how long should I wait. Considering I will have no option of NBDE part 1 and 2 as it will be discontinued, you could maybe guide us on the new INBDE if you will have any good knowledge about it. Like would he be cost friendly, what would be easier, the previous Exam pattern or the new one, etc.. Also, Congrats on getting in BU and all the best for your new dental school. I hope you and your husband flourish at whatever you both do.
Yes please, i am in 2nd year and would like to know how to make my resume strong. It would be really great if you make a video on this topic. Thank you!
hey KC could you speak about expenses in dental school for a foriegn dentist , how much we might need, what are the ways we can pay as young foreign individuals with not much in savings , do they ask to see proof of financial ability to pay etc
Could you please make an video on how to build a strong resume. I'm still pursuing my degree and wish to get admitted to one of the Universities in US. Could you guide us about the research work, dental assisting and dental shadowing work.
I'm confused that 1st year in OU were you in the advanced standing program? didnt you only needed 1 more year to complete the program? Thanks in advance and best of luck.
Whats the best way to earn money while studying in college, u said u paid a lot of money since u came to usa , does working as assistant or doctor without paperwork pays off the massive pay checks collages require? Thx in advance
This is probably just a rant could possibly be unrelated to the video, I apologize to the To the content creator for that first. I am feeling so confused as to what to do and how things are going to work out. And such. I started out studying Dentistry 8 years ago. I somehow cleared of 2 years. And after that I started getting lags cuz I couldn't complete my quota, I also didn't have much friends so getting through was a little bit of a deal. All my other batch mates had a groups and helped each other out and I suppose I thought I could deal with it even if I didn't mingle well.I am being horrible at finishing quota. I am contemplating on quitting but I can avail no job, even after spending 8 years in college I'll just be considered as a school graduate and dont have much scope for a decent job. I am so confused as to what to do.am running out of time , I need to be done with this by the end of this month or there would be a big trouble to deal .... also the trouble of the course getting nullified. Although I lagged I wouldn't say that I put no effort and it feels frustrating that all that 7 years might just go fruitless in a few days .
Hey, KC! I'm a BU student currently doing MPH and about to give NBDE part 1 in September. I was also looking forward to apply to BU next year if I clear the exams. Could you help me out a bit regarding my exam? Also, congratulations in bundles to you for getting in to dental schools!!😍

I do not think so, you would have to start over. depends on the school
How was OU dental school experience?
OU is an incredible school! I miss it tremendously. It taught me more in 2 months than BU did in half a year. Could not recommend OU more!
