Two members of the band are closely involved with DGD-related stuff outside of this band. Sergio (lead guitarist with the 'fro) is also the vice president of Blue Swan Records, which is named after its founder and president, Will Swan (lead guitarist, rap vocalist, and "Happiness" era scream vocalist of DGD). Will and Sergio were also in Sianvar, a swancore supergroup with the singer from Hail the Sun and the drummer from ALLB, and are currently in Royal Coda together, a supergroup that is basically Sianvar with Kurt Travis singing instead of Dominic from HtS. And Andrew (lead vocalist of Eidola) has been the touring and live session rhythm guitarist and backing vocalist for DGD since Instant Gratification, and has done some guitar tracking and vocal features in the 2 most recent DGD albums, singing in "Evaporate" from Artificial Selection, and "Nothing Shameful" in Afterburner. Also does Kurt's parts when they play "Uneasy Hearts" live.
I recommend the Temple trilogy, plus Trascendentium (Pt I and II) And also check Primitive Economics if you want to hear more unclean vocals This band is so diverse, the vocals by Andrew are top tier
Tetelestai and Humble Ledger are the next 2 tracks you should do on these guys! Also look into Royal Coda too if you want another great band with some DGD qualities to their sound. Will and Kurt are in that band together which is always great.
These boys are one of the most criminally underrated bands around today. Their instrumentation is top shelf and the lyrics are quite thought-provoking and related to matters of spirituality, as you could see in the flashes of religious imagery throughout the music video. A unique and somewhat hidden gem of a band. (and on this upcoming album there's a Jon Mess feature) "The Abstract of a Planet in Resolve" is a banger and has plenty of screams in it too hehe (which also leads into Tetelstai seamlessly)

All of their songs have some serious emotional impact. Tetelestai and Primitive Economics have more screaming but honestly, Andrew Wells (clean vocals) gives Tilian a run for his money as one of the most IMPECCABLE voices in the genre.

If you want a ton of uncleans, the song you want is "Primitive Economics". Other good songs are Tetelestai and the Temple Trilogy (Omni: First Temple, Contra: Second Temple, and Omega: Third Temple).
I believe it is "eye-dola" but I could be mistaken. Everyone will tell you how Andrew fits in to DGD, dude is incredible and a such a good guitar player as well. Genuinely the best compliment to Tilian's voice that I could imagine, so happy he is featured like once an album now. You should try Loti, Querents, or Contra: the Second Temple from them. All great picks!

@@lf_murmur7685 Thanks for the correction. In my limited experience with Eidola, I don't think that Matt Dommer sounds like Jon Mess and I think that in this song the screamer sounds an awful lot like Jon Mess. But I'll admit that I haven't listened to Eidola enough and so I'm probably wrong.

The whole previous album is phenomenal, literally not a bad song. Degenerettera is also really good as well, Humble Ledger is the best track in my opinion.

Yeah man, Andrew Wells (vocalist) is amazing. He’s been touring with Dance Gavin Dance since right before Instant Gratification! He even has helped write some of the music and done backing vocals on the actual albums. He’s featured on the next DGD album 👌 Eidola does have some more of the mixed clean/unclean vocals, you just gotta look for it. Either way this is an amazing band. I’d definitely recommend “The Comfort We Find in Our Vices”. So much emotion!
