I have two books I bought from Lee Valley that were printed in the early 20th century and late 19 th century that detail this exact process. Hardly anyone knows , let alone does it like this, anymore. I am impressed. If you look at the continuity of the curves in a century home compared to the new homes, you dont see the abrupt changes in geometry. Nice video. Do you have one on carving the volute? Thanks again and take care.
This is carpentry GOLD! Thanks for sharing this.
Best advice I've ever heard about how to start a house design.
Love the tools of the trade. Practical engineering.
Great work and video. May I ask what profile is the volute you were showing as a "mirrored" example of the drawing?
This IS Carpentry! You Rock!
