@@happykaeya why not? Be confident, i don't have a talent at rhythm games. I admire and a bit jealous w people in the arcade when they play PIU or maimai. I tried to play and after a short time, i can play like those people :3
That's crazy. I think it's really neat how popular arcades are in Japan (or wherever this was). I remember arcades here in the U.S. back in the 1980's. They were so fun. Now, they're non-existant. I wonder how much does it cost to play one game? I would think you would need to "warm up" first which could cost a lot of money over time.
Here in Japan, the price to play is 100 yen per play (3 songs). There aren't too many arcades in my area, only 2 that I can think of within a 30 minute drive, but they do get pretty busy at times.
Everytime i saw this machine wanted to play it but i need to wait for the group of friend or a person that they played so good that makes me embarrassed to play it. Now i only play if no one around
as long as you're not slapping the machine really hard, you won't really be judged. for me i just vibe with the song other people play as i queue :) if you're playing DX machines it's easier to be playing with focus because theres headphone plugs available
Don't need to feel embarrassed. Just remember that all experts have been at your stage before, and we know 101.0000% how it feels like. Personally, it feels nostalgic.
This song has a BPM of 240. I use 6.5 speed for songs from Expert to Master but I think I should be going for 7.0 or even 8.0 speed because the notes are compact if you use a lower speed.
Actually there are many good players that use 6.5 or even 6.0 speed. Higher speed is usually more tiring because you have less time to react and thus have to move faster. If you want, i recommend not going over 7.5 speed (although i play on 8 myself) to reduce energy consumption during long sessions

i watched this video then drove over to the arcade and threw a couple bucks into the maimai machine. brought some gloves but i could barely pass the 3rd lowest difficulty and i think the guy who was there before and after me was laughing lol

This is in the Philippines, most arcade games would close anywhere between (converted) 0.2 cents to 1 USD.

@@avwoods17 are you good at this arcade game?
In Germany, Arcades never existed. At all.

understandable, but in this game theres an invisible "queue system" we let people clearly queueing behind us play if we see them
