Thanks guys, wish you had time to talk more about the 993 and 997.1/.2 cars, always interested in your wisdom.

A brand new ITM - what a super way to ring out the year! Having had 996's, 997's and 991's - all great cars in their own ways - I love/agree with your analysis. To hear the experts call a base 996 "gorgeous" with great investment value brings a smile to my face. I miss all of my old 911's, but if I could have one back to drive for a few months it'd be my '03 base manual 996 (before any of the other later non-base models that were prettier, faster, more contemporary (esp. interiors), PDK'd, etc.). For some reason I can't really articulate, I miss the feel of that one the most and think the market will eventually come around to fine examples like you predict. Anyhow, great market roundup. Happy New Year to both of ya!

I understand and appreciate your efforts. Just don't forget us P-car "driver quality" and "older" guys! Keep up the good work.

    Great show guys!
It is nice to hear that you will do more shows this coming year, as I find them very insightful, and I completely agree with your brief thoughts and analysis on the 964. So, could you please consider giving some focused time, as P-car market experts on the pros and cons for the 964 market moving forward? I am the 2nd owner of an 89 C4, and I can tell you I think it is the best AC 911 I have ever driven! I also own a 74 911S (Orange Badge) with the CIS removed and Weber’s, it is an enjoyable ride but nothing like the 964.
Also, I recently sold my 996 Turbo and have been shopping for a 997.1 Turbo so it certainly was nice to hear your quick thoughts there as well.

Transaxle market review, any chance? Am I blowing the buyers market whistle? More G Coe!

I saw an article 20 years ago about Autofarm taking 964s and making performance mods along with a back dated look. Showed it to a friend who owns an independent Porsche shop here in central NJ and he said there's no money in that. 😆

This is a great show. But how could a 997 ever reach the value of the air cooled? That is just an insane proposition.
964 and 993 were produced about 65-68K each and half of them are cabrios, targas and tiptronics (a lot of them in Europe). Very few manual coupes, really. They produced over 200.000 997's and 221.000 units of 991's. You never consider the production numbers? The new water cooled cars are literally mass produced cars whereas the 964 and 993 were hand built, completely different generation. How on earth could those values rise to the level 964 and 993? Outside the turbos and special models it's never going to happen, imho. Same for any 996. And hey, I drive a 996 4S but these are mass produced cars. They produced 1.5 times more 996's than 993 and 964 combined.

Thanks guys, but I'm frankly not interested in the Ferrari/BMW Market. And I waited, but where is the F-Body/long hood market?? Come on--not everyone is interested in the post 1980 P-cars!

We had to pick a direction and go with it. So much to cover in so little time. We will get to the F body etc in the next few weeks. Thank you for watching.
