Davies only has herself to blame for her suboptimal performance - ever since she was racist and left the coaching of Cyril Martin she’s only gone downhill.

Her team mate did an interview with Sky detailing that Sarah said it was “black girl money” to her face. That’s also the reason she was kicked off the IWF athletes board.

So glad Toma won, but Zeng looked like she had so much more in both the snatch and C&J, and should've made that last attempt easily. It looks like she overestimated how heavy the last attempt was for her or had too much adrenaline, and consequently tried to dip too deep while letting the bar go too far back. If she treated it like any other lift she would've won the comp

On paper, limiting participants to 71kg would seem like it creates a fair playing field. Seeing the differences in physiques, one does wonder, however, whether weight alone is sufficiently granular a categorization.
Well there is always something you can't control. If you kept trying you'd eventually need categories for people who are "naturally stronger" or "naturally weaker".
how boring it would be if you could control all those small details that every single person is at the exact same level of strength and they all lift just as much all the same, competition would be dead.

As they put transgender people (people born as men and mentally they class themselves as women) in the women's class.
As men are generally stronger even though they are on the same weight class as women.

Great session, but it's galling to see these starting to come onto YT after I paid for what I thought was exclusive coverage last month...
But that’s normal. For example a title fight in boxing or the UFC will have to be paid for on the night it debuts but afterwards,because the outcome has already happened the value of the fight plummets which is why chances like BTSport or Sky Sports Boxing will show the whole fight/highlights of the fight on their UA-cam channels for free.
You paid to watch it live, you don't somehow own what they decide to do with the footage afterwards.
