I have a question about the f30. I’m looking to do a muffler delete and I know I have the exhaust valve at the tips. I’d prefer different exhaust tips and I’m wondering if it will throw a code without the valve being used or should I try and reuse the oem tips and valve.

Not sure if you will respond, but i'm looking into buying a E90 328i (2009-2011). Since you own a 328i, are these cars affordable to maintain? I can DIY everything, but i don't want this car to be a financial headache especially being a college student that might have to pay for student loans. I will appreciate an answer.

Alright so basically bmw has been making this N52 motors formula for YEARS. The displacement, and the cylinders is literally what bmw has been doing since the 80s..
That being said, you need to make sure you find one that was somewhat taken care of. They are reliable. I have 2 of them, my sister does not take care of hers, treats it like a pos and does maintenance late but that thing still fires up everyday with no hesitation. Everyones situation is different tho, so be mindful of that. The chances of something major going wrong? Low, the need to constantly maintain it and throw money at it? Not really.
