The Sultan, Parliament and citizens thank you tremendously for this piece of excellence in journalism. You are a national hero and your harem awaits you upon your return. They aren't the prettiest, but they get the job done.

I'm honored to report that I was just notified of my approval of citizenship to Slowjamastan! I'm saving up to purchase my little slice of heaven, Quietstormia, of which I will be the Countess of. I'll also need to work on getting citizenship for my dear husband, Count Chocolate Thunder. Can't wait to make my first visit. I'm so envious.
@@idontknow2293 The Sultan will never sell out to them. Keep Slowjamastan free! I visited an island in Central America and their motto is "Go Slow" and it should be adopted for Slowjamastan.

This has got to be one of the ultimate gems for Desert Weirdness! I just looked at the map and I could make it there for a holiday weekend inside 4.5 hours. Not sure why I'm just sitting on my couch!
I have to say that I thoroughly enjoy all of your videos. This one in particular I really get a kick out of because other than Canada I've never been outside of the United States haha! As my husband and I plan to do the rving lifestyle this is one of the place that I have earmarked to stop in to visit. Thank you for bringing these videos to my attention I find them very fascinating.
This is awesome and somehow I knew it was near the Salton Sea before you showed it on the map. I guess you have to go on a sea adventure to get to Slab City? Places like this are what makes California so special.
Still trying to catch up as I'm a fairly new subscriber. How brilliant is this? Loved every minute of it, thanks for a fun commentary Steve. Big thanks to The Sultan as well for ruling over such a unique micronation. Never expected to see a reference to Sealand on your channel Steve. It's visible on a good day from the North Sea ferry which sails between Harwich and the Hook of Holland. Not too far from where I live, it's a few miles offshore from the county of Essex, opposite end of the county from me.
I saw a news story about Sealand when I visited the UK as a teenager and have always wanted to visit. I don't think my dad had the same enthusiasm for it though lol.
I'm convinced that there is something about the desert that fosters the mindset to create places like this and Salton Sea. 😅 I definitely love it. I gotta say... it's rare to even see a full pay phone these days with tall the parts even if not working so that's pretty cool.
Fun and interesting. Surely many plans were made for this new nation over bottles of spirits and bowls of green goodness. Thanks for taking us on another cool adventure!
At first glance, I thought it read "bottles of spirits and bowls of green goddess" and I wondered if Green Goddess dressing soup was a rite of passage into the Sovereignty.
About ready to move back to check all the stuff we explored as kids growing up in Point Loma! The desert was our weekend playground- Salton Sea, Church’s Chicken in El Centroid- throwing watermelons out of the truck! Good ol’ days, trippin’ in the desert!
We just did a road trip to Yuma via Hwy 8... now want to go back.... you should have stopped in Dateland, for a date shake. They are amazing! We stopped off at Painted Rock which was cool, and I'd love to see you do a show there. Glad I found your channel today. I subscribed and look forward to seeing your other uploads.
I also had an eerie encounter in '82 while riding my bike through the Anza-Borrego state park on 87.A car passed me slowly, driver was staring at me intensely, turned around and said, "Steve?",no, not me. He said I looked just like him and it sounded like he was dead. Both of us freaked out.
This could have been a reference to "Captain Slow" - James May from the BBC show Top Gear. Top Gear did an episode where they drove through this area, heading toward the border.
Slowjamastan is by no means a joke it's a very serious nation as you see we have landmines to deter anyone who attempts to illegally cross our borders. Not much construction had started when you came to visit there is much more to see now

I'm just in shock I don't know what to make of this like are these places that you can go camping How is it a separate country within a state of a country
I was thinking this was the same as another place called Republic of Molossia, which is in the desert of California and was wonder where the buildings were. But if you haven't done a video on it, it's just outside of Reno, Nevada.
I live in the southeast, so I know more about swamps than deserts, but it seems to me that wearing Crocs in the desert would be a really bad idea... unless you WANT to get bitten.
There is a micro nation outside of reno that does have buildings, a space program, and even its own currency. But it’s only open to the public on specific days. It’s called Molossia.
When I first saw the "catcher", my first thought you was heading out to the Republic of Molossia (that's how its listed in both Wikipedia and on Google Earth), then I had to remind myself that you DID say CA! (Molossia is located just outside Dayton, east of Reno.) Another fine video from vou.
