So happy I found this channel. OG simmer here. I got the Sims 1 when I was 13 (the year 2000 😱). I loved this expansion so much. What I loved and miss so much about the original Sims is the spontaneity. You controlled life but not the consequences. I remember finding my first puppy poop on the lawn and couldn't get over how cute it was 🤣
I love this series of videos, I'm glad that there are other people who still love the sims 1 ♥ I can't explain it but this game feels so unique and special I guess it's because it reminds me of my childhood.
Happy 24th birthday Sims 1! The Sims Unleashed really was the blueprint for all pet expansions in the later Sims games. Also this pack has expanded the lore and the town itself, giving the New Orleans style to it. I still love the tram that takes the Sims to Old Town lots. Really nostalgic feel.
Every now and then I watch all the trailers from the expansions packs from The Sims 1 to get a bit of nostalgia. Suddently your channel was recommended for me this week and now I'm complety gotten by your videos xD
Unleashed was mine and my sister’s first expansion, and in my experience, the bigger neighbourhood alone made it more of a game-changer than Livin’ Large, which I got later. LL has lots of fun and chaotic novelty features, but Unleashed expands the core/realistic gameplay more. Palm reading is probably the most broken thing in TS1 though, I (ab)use it all the time with single sims to refill their needs, sometimes for less than the cost of a pizza 😂
This pack just came out when I needed it most❣😢 It is not the best pets EP, but this one will always hold a special place in my heart after losing our dog Cindy to cancer. I also remember how hard it was to keep up with a garden in the game. Thanks so much for posting all these retro sims videos❣
These videos are such a delight, I've always loved The Sims above all the other game adaptations. There's so much soul! But it makes me so sad! This whole video on a single expansion pack in the year 2000 is more immersive and and diverse than any expansion pack from the fourth game. WTF.

I'm sorry to bother u (this question doesn't have anything to do with ts 1 unleashed), but do u happen to remember a house in ts1 i believe it was from an expansion pack, it was a two story house, the couple was a guy with a mustache i believe and the woman was black... the stairs led to a kitchen on the second floor and it had two doors on the kitchen... i can't seem to find that house! and I'm sure it's from ts1 (i played ts2 extensively and i would remember) but i was too young when i played to remember well... did i make that house up? I'm sure i didn't! it was real! i remember the stove in the kitchen would always catch on fire for some reason ahahah it was a beautiful house... please do tell me u know what I'm talking about! I'm loving ur content 😍
I love love love this because you’re actually thinking of the Maximus family! They were official downloadable content for the Sims when they came out. You can still find them for download on simechoes.org if you want them. Specifically the Maximus family was one of my favourites because the husband is a crime boss and the wife is called “Princess Zaghawa”. I’ve considered making a video about these downloadable families but thought it might be too niche.

Unleashed was mine and my sister’s first expansion, and in my experience, the bigger neighbourhood alone made it more of a game-changer than Livin’ Large, which I got later. LL has lots of fun and chaotic novelty features, but Unleashed expands the core/realistic gameplay more.

The easiest is to go to the relationship panel, and click on the other sims’ portraits!
