Although I have no idea how to fake these shots, I do know the answer to your question. The frisbee hit the backboard and appears to accelerate because of it. This makes basketball shots extra difficult.

Some people think its easy but I had my first game of Frisbee golf in Toronto (im from Ireland) and i soon realised pulling off those shots are seriously difficult so respect.
Is it just me or you wish to see a compilation of Brodie throwing Frisbee Headshots . Would be so funny and cool to see that frisbee travel so far and still whack [ or land gently] on someones head :P
now next trick is rolls the frisbee the hole length of a train and have it drop off the front into a trash can that would be so kool to watch love your videos bro keep makeing them :)
