The beautiful people of Bulgaria. We stayed in Albena, on the gorgeous beach and the hotel had the most fab entertainer had not just the kids but the adults up taking part, my daughter at the time was only 10months old, and to get me up taking part he had a hotelier looking after not only my daughter but our stuff also, when we left we met up with him and gave him what to us was not much but to him it was a months wage and made him so happy xx
We have been visiting sunny beach since 2012, the iglikla bar is known as the ,IGGY BAR or THE HOLE IN THE HEDGE, To the brits and we love it, chris has been there 5 years, we came back September 12th 2024 after 3 weeks, we found a new restaurant and wanted to share it, La Flors? 5 minute walk from the IGGY BAR, we loved the starters main and service, carry on because I enjoyed your chat and the fact you ate later after warming up with a couple of beers, walking and enjoying yourselves, sleeping by 9pm is also very important 😆 🤣 😂, daytimes are more important and good luck, I'm motivated now to do the same sort of thing? Maybe and thanks
After my first few visits to Sunny Beach, I realised that the majority of those restaurants with the wooden seats and generic picture menus just serve garbage. On my last few visits I ate exclusively at Djanny, La Flor and Gloria Mar (St Vlas Marina). To be honest, the Djanny menu is so extensive that you could eat there every night on holiday without trying the same thing. The irony is that it's cheaper than most of the crap tourist restaurants despite being far posher, having superior service and better food. In terms of bars, Iglika gets a lot of love from the expats because of the prices. Likewise, Condor Bar and Spiders. Personally I'd rather pay a bit more and drink along the beach promenade at night. The centrally located beach bars like Viking and Mexo have a nice vibe and are good for people watching. Bounce Bar near the centre is a vibe. A night video of you bar hopping along the front would be cool.
I use a monzo card when paying for stuff abroad. You don't have charges to get money out (unless the cashpoint charges it's own fees) and it gives you fairly good exchange rates. Though there is a limit of £400 that you can take out at a cashpoint (every 30 days) so it might not suit a holiday in Bulgaria. You can pay as much as you want by card though.
What about breakfast at your hotel you haven't look yet. You can grap some rolls meat and butter to take to your room for later on. I always did it when I was there. I think you both need a good meal inside of you then you will feel better for it. Lack of food can make you feel tired also. Looking forward to seeing the old Town again. I love Bulgaria one of my favourite places to go. ❤😊
Did you notice at that exchange the Scottish money & English sterling where different prices? What's that all about, only seen the once before & it was in malia on the Greek island Crete .

I thought it was a lamb on the spit,a it has a slightly different shape to a pig. Pleased your enjoying yourself . Thank for sharing. Hi love your vlogs but when we went to sunny Beach with our young son at the time,we were swore at because we wouldn't buy a top from1 if the stalls,a man came over to our son ,gave him a plumb then tried to charge us £20 for it and got very angry when we said no, also every evening there were prostitutes driving in the back of vehicles upand down the strip and if you notice big posh black cars they are the Bulgarian mafia, glad your having a nice time but it scared the hell out of us especially with having a child with us, wouldn't ever go back.ohh that spit roast was a lamb not a pig 😊

I think Andrew is a popular name in Bulgaria 😂 My apartment was in Villa Valencia and we used to exchange shirts. Yes shirts because he loves our British different patterns shirts. If you go back for a meal just mention it and he will be sure to recognise. Go into the Condor bar for a drink I know it doesn't look it but it's really cheap and great drinks. I knew you would like Bulgaria and it's great place for vlogs. As I'm sure now you understand 2 weeks is just not enough for the content you could create. When you leave Sunny Beach the country is beautiful and still raw with such history and places to explore. I have done it in the last 15 years, I would really encourage you to do it too. Fantastic vlogs to come.❤

Experience a bit of village life, get a taxi to Kubadin go see Karl and terrie who run the local shop/bar x pats, well worth the trip, half the price of sunny beach.
Looks a friendly place, sorry can’t help you out much recommendation wise as have never been to Bulgaria, but liking and commenting can do no problem, I have Facebook but to be honest don’t really go on there much, don’t do instagram although did have an account at one point, lovely vlog though ❤😊
Loving the vlogs, you two must be worn out by now. Also , if you don't like something you don't like it, don't apologise, and maybe you weren't being picky or fussy maybe it was genuinely rank. To be honest, I didn't like the look of either of the meals, however, I must say that the lamb looked the best out of all of it. As for the potatoes, well I don't mind boiled potatoes but they looked horrible, I'm sorry to say X

I’m a recent subscriber, I enjoy hearing Dan talking about West Yorkshire as I am from Bingley, I am sure he knows it well . I’d love to know how Mazzy stays so slim while being on holiday, I know she has a small appetite, but I can put on 1/2 stone easily in a week on hols. I do think it’s because you both seem to eat only once a day possibly? 😂

Great seeing the place so far. That guy in the bar was such a character! He could have his own channel. Good to see the usual honesty in the reviews of the places you go. When you go somewhere and its good, you tell us, so 100% makes sense if its not so good tell us that too!

Bulgarian here this is 100% lamb, they don't do pigs like that. They roast only chicken and lambs.
