Hello. Originally when I wanted to draw lines after entering the line (or rectangle) command my input info would go something like this: @12'4",3'9" ENTER. However, this style of input is not working now. I tried restarting program and machine. The only consistency I encountered was just entering raw values such as: @4,8 but this would only reflect my UNITS setting. Am I missing something? I have always drafted this way when necessary. I do not understand why the program is behaving this way. I have 2021 version. Any help/wisdom will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Hi sir, your first input will not be recognized by the command PL since you have the ' and " symbols...unless you are working on ft/inches. Input on polylines has to be an integer separated by comma and having any symbols will invalidates the input. you have to check your units.
have you checked your units? i tried your coordinates using the rec...it worked for me...can u send your email id so i can send you a screen record...let see if i can be of any help?
@@CADSMITH-jimpac I had to change my units from decimal to architecture. Sometimes you cant figure it out until you just ask then it all hits you LOL. Thank you!!!!
using your osnap endpoint (F3) you can just do the line or pl command and connect to that existing line...then j (join) if you want it to become a single entity...tell me if you able to do it>

How do you add to a preexisting line? Like connect a new line to a old one

Hi...you can use the command J for join and follow the command line instructions
Nice..
Thanks boss...how r you?
is there a way to get rid of the semicircle and rectangle when drawing lines?
If you are inside the PL command, you can switch to arc mode by typing A, then go back to line by typing L.
Sir, there is a problem with me that if I type length of the line 30 it's taking too long to cover i.e, the line is too big what shall I do?
It’s because the line is big. Can u draw a line 1000? Then Zoom(enter) E (enter). Then from there you can now draw normally.
