Another game doing things right is The Finals. Embark Studios is very hands on with the community. I'm not part of the community anymore because I got kinda tired of the fps community as a whole, but I love the devs.

While I'm REALLY not a big fan of the aesthetic and some of the abilities, the lack of sbmm and the promising dev communication has me really enjoying the game so far. If we could get a game like this with the vibe of the recent ghost recon games (another Ubisoft title obviously) id be in love.
I want to modern shooters to be more serious. Like tarkov. This colourful fancy soy looking shooters is so annoying. Unfortunately XDefiant also has that valorant-fortnite bullshit soy atmosphere. Such games is unplayable and should be completely ignored by everyone who cares about future of fps games.
I think not liking games because "colors" is a little silly. The game is fun for a lot of people, not everything has to be hyper realistic. If you like only like milsims, that's ok. But people like arcade shooters too

no skill based matchmaking sounds pretty awesome. climbing the ladder is cool and all but i can never shake the feeling that it's rigged to keep you playing longer in a lot of games. take this with a grain of salt though, i'm a filthy casual
Idc if the game is not acurate or whatnot, but there seems to be litteraly no recoil idc if you have learned it. There should atleast be a small recoil unlike where your aim litreraly dosent move when you shoot it.
I don't like when people say AAA studios lost touch, they didn't, they just market for a broader audience that wants different things. It's impossible to satisfy both the harcore players and the casuals. It's not that these devs lost touch, it's that they're trying to make everyone happyish which means nobody really gets what they want, but if they don't do that they alienate a big portion of their community.
That was kind of my point, "a broader audience" implies everyone. Remember when Fortnite first came out? It seemed like literally everyone was playing it. Only appealing to casual players implies you're failing to reach a broader audience in my opinion.
I would also argue that they aren't even reaching casual audiences well. Even though I am a sweat, I do enjoy casual shooters a lot. But the new CoDs for example don't feel that way to me anymore, especially with how complicated the attachment system is now.

I can't support a studio that uses AI art like that

Randomly got this recommended. You've earned a new sub dawg, very entertaining to watch.
Thank you!

I wish they would change the gun models to not look like ass.

The Solution is to just have 2 Playlists
Casual = Connection based matchmaking
Ranked = Skill based matchmaking
Problem solved :D
once I misunderstood this game, cuz it's Ubisoft, right?
now I should say it's not what you think.

AAA studios have lost touch.
