THANK YOU for watching - and SUBSCRIBING! What do you all say? Will you try automating your node after seeing this video? Or is it still too risky for you?
Can you make a video explaining rebalancing and what the even means? Also why do you have so many channels? What do the channels mean? Sorry I’m only on your 3rd video so if you already explained it. Really great content! Your edits are on point! Keep up the great work! I dropped a comment on your last video but id love to invite you on the show for an interview!
Excellent! Based on this I've just turned on auto fees and will be very interested to see how it does. Until now I've been doing it all manually and slowly improving my node performance. Clearly all the big nodes use this feature so it probably makes sense to do.
Love your videos… quick taboo question. I’ve been setting up my node trying to create good channels, but I’m unsure on overall liquidity. It seems large liquidity (>7M) in good channels trumps moderate liquidity (3-5M) in many channels? I’m having a difficult time determining how much funding for my node, aside from the usual don’t invest what you can’t lose mantra. Any thoughts?
Definitely not taboo at all, I did a whole video about it: ua-cam.com/video/05pBghUYJ1k/v-deo.html :) LMK if I can help any other way, or if you wanna hop on a call (bitcoinftm.com)
Thanks for the feedback. So, you set all your liquidity hungry channles like ACINQ, bfx and such to auto fees? and then auto rebalance? Would.. or I think maybe autofees can be set too low to be able to rebalance that kind of channels?
Hi Johnathan, very nice video, thank you for sharing. I was wondering, is there some time in which AF and AR enabled clash with each other? Because AF could set lower fees after a rebalance. I think you already mentioned this in a previous video, but I was wondering if you found that this "issue" has happened since you automated the nodeò
Love LNDG, but I think it is far too aggressive in reducing the fees to liquidity sinks. It seems to optimise for throughput rather than profits. This means it sometimes reduces the fees so much that profitable rebalancing is no longer possible.

thanks so much! I'm still figuring it out.. not sure if it's working yet, but I'll just keep re-watching until it sinks in!

You need more subscribers my friend! You videos are flawless
Please do a video on a walkthrough of automating the node. I'm excited to start a node. Have learned a lot from this channel.
RTL (Ride The Lightning) has an option to look at routing performance month by month!
Oooh, that's cool, I'll check it out.

Awesome video Jonathan! I'm gonna try that as well
Go for it!

All my channels are on Autofees, and only hungry channels auto-rebalance.
Well done, thanks for your open information, yes I will go down the route of further automation! 😉
Awesome, enjoy, and let me know if i can help, or if you wanna hop on a coaching call. I also see you're not subbed - please subscribe :)
Great work Johnattan
THANKS!

I think you can export a Csv of routing stats from Ride the lightning.
This is helpful thanks.
Looking forward to learning the rest
I'm happy to see, you enjoy your citadel node :)
Thanks :)
Would be really interesting what happends when you set all your channels automated.
You mean rebalancing? Doesn't make sense to do that.
Ride The Lightning has a pretty simple way to look at and download reports for your forwards on a month by month basis.
Nice I'll check it out thanks.
Nice work! - Bobby
Hey, thanks! Excited to have Voltage as a sponsor going forward
Thanks

Hmm... maybe? I'm not sure, but I am seeing rebalancing working well. I see you're not subbed - please subscribe :)
What hardware do you have to run your node?
about 1450'ish. 100% you broke even or really 200% so you made 2x profit?
All this work for 50 cents a day?!?
You're betting on bitcoin appreciating, you building a bigger network and the network itself expanding over time, you being an important node in it.
I really don't know why I don't receive fees
I'm noob on this, and I don't understand a shit;')
Thanks
