    Sorry every1 error in the timestamps, I fixed it in the description but anyone looking to skip ahead to... Warband+ Campaign Rules 1:01:33. That is all 🤪

    the rules writer and creator of mordheim is still active on the community facebook. He said circle bases are fine. You even see circle bases being used in official mordheim photos from back in the day.

      That's awesome glad the creators still so active. Idk why I am apart of 10+ warhammer related facebook groups but the mordheim one I have somehow slept on.... So now im going to change that!

      Yeah dude! I'm basing my bretonnians/beastmen on circle bases too, because they look better, more room for bits and bobs to spice them up.

      awesome. Is there anything like a "Here are the appropriate size to use" or is it basically fine if we're using circles somewhere in the 25-40 range based on what looks fine or what the sculpt we're converting from came with

    • @xLAZY666
      @xLAZY666 2 місяці тому

      @@Crushanator1 yea basicly what you said, 25-40 depending on what the model is. I think 32 is the most popular for aesthetic reasons. Where 25mm puts you at a slight advantage for gameplay but im not even sure if its noticeable.

      @@Crushanator1 at 4:25 I have the chart up for all the old official square bases. I personally feel like if you wanted to add an additional 5mm for these bases converting them over to circles that's totally fine, at this stage even adding 5mm for the square base sizes would probably be fine with majority of Mordheim players, alot of them (myself included) also play Old World which literally upped the base sizes of most miniatures by 5mm, and if someone wanted to play a game of Mordheim with me using their Old World minis I would never say no.
      I think the most important thing is just make sure your opponent/play group know what you're going with and try to stay consistent with the whole warband.

    Dont think starting xp grants advances.

      I double checked this today and good call, this is correct for standard campaign play. I am not sure which expansion or town crier (maybe it wasn't an official one) but I have actually seen and played with rules for starting XP, and another for buying advancements but I haven't had the time to look up the page # and whatnot for those.

    Been a while since I played... can the warband use any weapons allowed, not just on their list when theyre first created? For example: if theres no pistol on their start equipment list, but they get one in a campaign, can they use it?

    • @camwardart
      @camwardart  Місяць тому +1

      Sadly in that example you would not be able to use the pistol (you lack the training!), BUT when you eventually level up and get the new skill result, checkout these skills....
      Weapons Training (Combat Skill pg 83 of main rulebook).
      AND
      Weapons Expert (Shooting Skill, same page/book).
      These will let you use whatever weapon the character desires!

    For STLs, the group Vae Victis makes splendid models, many of them very inspired by the old Mordheim models.

    I played so many games, especially GW games even ones that were obsolete by the time I was a child (I inherited a massive collection from two of my brothers), but Mordheim is the only one I played consistently.

      Love to hear that! You two have favorite warbands to run?
      Mine is Dwarf Treasure Hunters, was the first crew I ever ran + painted up.

    1:02:36 should be noted that starting exp typically does not count to advance rolls prior to first gameplay as the stats of the character are already factored into the starting exp. This makes young bloods an attractive choice as they get advances very fast by starting at 0 xp.

    38:14 I like your listing, in addition to those changes I would suggest:
    Spear that is not used with both hands -1 to WS
    Offhand weapon/Shield/Buckler +1 to WS for defending purpose

    Where is it stated that a double 1 or double 6 in mordheim means anything?

    • @camwardart
      @camwardart  3 місяці тому +1

      Sorry that is actually a somewhat redundant rule from larger scale Warhammer Fantasy, but it does still apply to Mordheim.
      Unless I am mistaken nothing that would take a leadership test in the game has a value less than 2, nor could it be reduced to that through campaign injuries. This means I would always pass a leadership test on double 1s and the same for double 6s would always fail. No leadership can be increased beyond 10 atleast according to the base games max characteristic chart.
