It's a cultural thing, really. Koreans used to be the only region that took Tekken seriously. Like, really seriously. Now there are two regions. Korea still corners the Starcraft 2 market though, also because they're the only ones who take it seriously. I'm hoping SF6's $2mil pool will attract more Korean players and bring e.g. Poongko back into the scene.
@@Asterra2most Pakistani take tekken a lot more seriously than everyone thinks but they are looked down on bcuz of playing a game and there are sponsorship issues in Pakistan as well so no gamer usually even gets the opportunity to play it professionally and arcades still have old games this is reason why Pakistanis do not compete in evo
