There was some guy name Bernie Sanders who was the candidate to beat Trump in 2016, the Democratic Party kicked that to curb and made Hillary the nominee. The Democratic party needs to decide where they want to put their resources. The donors need to decide who they will or will not support. I think the ticket should be switched Harris for president / Biden as VP for all his experience and connections. That would alleviate all the concerns about fitness/age and give Biden a graceful non-exit. His legacy would continue. It would also not result in a messy convention and a mountain of legal challenges, not to mention fundraising problems. Biden would have to agree to it, which I highly doubt, but it is the safest, most logical move in my mind.
