New Blue Jade - Pedal Steel Guitar

- This channel is my attempt to hear myself play the pedal steel compared to other pedal steel guitar players here on UA-cam. There are many pedal steel players who have great tone. Tone that I like. I am striving to get better tone. So, I decided to create the channel, upload myself playing so I could compare apples to apples. I am finding my tone, I am not there yet but I like what I am learning. Plus this project has made me play more which is where the tone comes from along with a few tweaks on the settings and added devices. I am using mainly reverb and delay, maybe a chours. But I realize if my guitar is in tune ( Using the Jeff Newman Sweetend Tuning from the Perterson Tuner ) and if I focus on putting the bar where it needs to be with vibrato, the battle is almost won. The effects just makes it a little better. The pedal steel guitar is an amazing instrument. It is not easy to learn at the begining but once you get to a certain point it does get much easier. Steep learning curve when you first start. But as I stick with it it becomes all worth it.
Great job. I needed a good excuse to close my eyes and relax for a minute.
Thank You

Good sound, even on my phone ! Considering the extreme pressure of playing a song written by and performed live by the greatest steel guitarist of our time, Buddy Emmons, you did a great job.
Keep posting more steel instrumentals. "Thou shalt steel".😁
Thank You... Here's a recent project I was a part of. I have 2 songs. One at 18:52 and the other at 33:50 on the time line.

Love this song!! Well done, sir!🌴🌴
Thank You
👍👍👍👍👍
Heavenly. I wanna be like you when I grow up.
you can be better!
Love it! Great job!
Thanks
Great job,like the reverb👍
Thanks Larry, I might be doing one more version of this with a better ending and I will try to cut the revrb back and see how it sounds.
Very nice! I'm gonna try to learn this one on my U-12.
You can do it!
in my opinion, you sound better than half the people who play pedal steel on here. it's only mainly the tone, most of the other guys have the tone set pretty low so it sounds dull and unamusing, whereas you have your tone set to sound more trebly and higher pitched.
Thanks, it took me a while to figure out my tone. On my set up I actually have almost all the trebele turned off and the bass almost all the way turned up. Makes no sense but that is where it is on my gear. Plus I have a lot of reverb and delay.
@@steelguitar7796 whatever you did, it's perfect.
Fantastic!
Many thanks!
That Kline though, man. So pretty.
Thanks, just put on new strings
Hey Steel Guitar 77, Nice playing! I really like Kline guitars and live in the county where Joe built the Klines. I own a Kline D-10 and like it much. If you could talk Joe Kline into winding a new single coil Kline style pickup for your guitar, I think that would help in your pursuit for improved tone.Just my ywo cents, and keep on picking!
I havent talked with Joe in many years. Great guy
Música es el arte de combinar los sonidos, formando con ellos melodías y armonias
Yes, I agree....
played very civilized and distinguished
Thanks
Nice, steep learning curve ..yep, I'm on it now. Thanks for the encouragement! Whatcha got there, a 12 string? Single deck with a mess o pedals. I'd be interested to know about your guitar. Thanks!
Robert, it a Kline 12 string universal. E9th tuning
Beautiful song and tone, but what really fascinated me is your pedal setup. Could you explain that, maybe in another video?
Will try, thanks
Could you hook us up with your backing track please?
I'll try, soon
Cclossse but wrong.
