The announcement of this title for the Nintendo's console was a deciding factor in why I passed up an Xbox in favor of the GCN, right up there with new Mario, Metroid, and Zelda titles. It's at this point you might be asking yourself why you've never heard of this game.
Short answer: it flopped... hard. Despite low sales, Eternal Darkness was released to critical acclaim and has a diehard base of fans like me who trumpet its praises whenever we get the chance. This Silicon Knights classic casts a spell like few other survival horror games.
Does that mean it's a perfect game? Hardly. Do it's shortcomings keep it from the upper echelon of survival horror? Let's find out. It's time for an Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem game review! Grab a flask of liquid courage and let's embark on a journey... into the Darkness.

This game was crazy back in the day! I was like wtf?!
Awesome review, it's so obvious how much better the Gamecube was than PS2 or Xbox but people couldn't see it back then for some reason.
The GCN is probably my favorite console overall and was the first I bought with my own money. So many good memories!
I just recently got a GameCube, mostly for the Game Boy Player, but I'll have to give this game a try eventually.
The Game Boy Player is amazing... especially if paired with GB Interface and an Action Replay :)
