"Patiently run the race." Great title and timing today. Im 69 yrs on this earthly plane now. These young people out there hollering and crying cause they're 22-23 yrs old, can't buy a house, don't want to work 40 hrs a week, "just to feed themselves and have a place to live", and it's all the "boomers" fault. I've actually heard them utter these exact words. My generation (boomers) went to work at age 16, after school and on weekends. We graduated high school working full time jobs. We did have a better economy to work with, but we WORKED! Many weeks more than 40 hrs. I see nothing wrong with working to "feed ourselves and have a place to live". There's a lot of satisfaction in that. We didn't buy our first home till our early thirties. Slow, steady, and willingness to work hard is what it takes.

I wish I could have made this personal but I am very old school I'm right at 60 and I want to tell you you were my first preacher I have been Catholic all my life well any way I did what you said I stopped drinking and smoking and started reading the Bible and I stopped drinking and smoking and the book says that you're supposed to stay with your wife and try to get her to see through the change in you will make her change but after a year at least she would not change and because of the way I changed I had a nervous breakdown and when I got out of the hospital she threw me out I found s

Your garden looks great! God makes it all grow. I pray over my garden and I do a lot of talking to God while in my garden, so this was a great message from your garden! I am in this world, but not part of this world. Society has spiritually crippled so many who choose to be part of it.
Accountability is something that people do not want any part of, they want to blame shift.
For me being a Christian is about relationship with my Father God, not religion. Maintaining my life starts with dying to self, flesh, everyday. Some days it is harder than others, but my reward will be greater still. There is no peace like the PEACE OF GOD! Praying God blesses you abundantly my brother!

It is the difference between going to McDonalds and sitting down to a home cooked meal with food that you raised by yourself, prepared, and set the table. Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace are you saved through faith and not of yourselves, it is a gift of God not of works lest any man should boast.
Being saved by the blood Jesus shed on a cross doesn’t mean that our actions are excusable or the simple matter of believing on him would be for naught
@@SpiritoftheOutdoors I agree don’t take the grace of God for granite.Grace through faith alone the thief on the cross was not baptized did not speak in tongues just had faith in Jesus! And believed and Jesus told him you will be with me in paradise. We are but filthy rags and can bring nothing to God through our works that would please him. The only work was the finished work of his son, our Lord and savior Jesus Christ on the cross of Calvary.
We cant do anything without God . Alone we are nothing . The theif was before Christ rose from the dead. John was born filled with the spirit from birth. Enoch never died because he taken by God. We cant use exceptional instances in the Bible where God did what he wanted because he is God to pattern our lives expecting the same special reward.
@@SpiritoftheOutdoors what about people on their deathbed that’s never gotten saved and they decide they want to. Can they get saved and go to heaven without works based salvation? If they can, that would fall under grace through faith alone.
