I think you hit it out of the park! The peace dollar did much better than I expected. The SLQ grade has been revealed for me now. So glad you got an AU 55 grade on that. Super nice coin and for 3 bucks spent on buying the coin and 20 for graded you did extremely well. CONGRATULATIONS!
Thanks a lot! Hunting for treasure :)
Great selecting. Really liked the showing of the value of the coin after being certified.
Beautiful Standing liberty quarter 😀
Thank you! I absolutely love this coin.
The graded slab world would be new to me. You did great! Congrats on increasing the value.
🤩🤩🤩🤩
It's new to me too, really. I just wanted to experiment and I really enjoyed how it went :)
I've sent hundreds of baseball cards in to be graded over the years. I honestly enjoy doing it because I love gambling. Coins or cards both are a bit of a gamble, but it's my opinion cards are slightly more subjective. At any rate I find this video to be a compelling video. Keep those eyes peeled for more grade worthy coins. 👍👍
I’ll do my best bud! Glad to see you commenting again ;)
Thanks for showing us these really interesting coins. I can't believe I actually nailed grading three out of the four coins you showed. I got the XF 45 and AU 55 exactly on the numbers, and I went with Fine-plus on the F 15 which turned out to be correct as well. The only one I got wrong was the MS 62. I saw plenty of details on the 1935 Peace Dollar, but with the shadowing effect from the erratic toning mixing with the light from the camera, I thought I saw some areas of flatness, especially on the hair. Also so many of the silver dollars you come across in the bargain bin have been previously cleaned that for only $15 I figured someone must have tried to clean it long ago only for the coin to retone unevenly. I was actually expecting to see a result of Cleaned with XF/AU details. Congratulations on your new treasures. I am especially shocked that someone sold you a Standing Liberty quarter in such incredibly good shape for just a trifle over spot! The Pawn shops where I live all seriously overprice their silver coins to where I never shop there.
This Standing Liberty quarter wasn't even out in the show room. It was hidden in the owner's vault among a ton of other Standing Liberty quarters...I freed it and brought it into the light! :)
Thanks for watching and good job on guessing the grades! You may have a job waiting for you with NGC :)
You did a great job.Thank you for testing us ENTHUSIAST 'S. I failed miserably however I came CLOSE with the MS coin. I graded the others higher.✌
Really? I wish I could have gotten a higher grade on the Standing Liberty!
@@Spegtacular I nailed the grade on the standing liberty and only slightly under graded the rest.
Congratulations on your gradings 👍. They are protected, drop away. 😂. Thank you for sharing
I'm going to drop each one a few times just for you!
Some guys wear cotton gloves even when handling the holders hehehe
Please let me know where this place is comment back have a few coins I would like to send on thank you very much
congrats on those coins! 🔥🐉
Thanks Baggins.
Whoever graded that peace dollar ms62 needs fired. Good video keep them coming.
Hey that was fun for me to watch. Now Im up for grading some of my coins. Happy for you. With forgeries coming out of China it really pays off to get them graded. Congratulations my friend. Peace.
I agree! Still be careful though... some slabs are even being counterfeited. What a crazy world!
@@Spegtacular yes that is what I have heard. Apparently some unscrupulous individuals took the graded coins out and replaced them with fakes or another less valuable coin. Sad really. I am glad the grading services are now photographing and having a video identifying the real coin that was initially graded. What people will do to others for profit. Thanks for the warning and happy collecting. I also subscribed.
I’m happy to have your sub my friend. I’ll try to keep you entertained :)
@@Spegtacular National Coin Week, good luck finding some coins. Excited that many dealers and those that could afford it, put coins back into circulation. That is amazing.
Nice video just subbed! I really enjoy seeing NGC coins!
NGC is top-tier at this moment in time!
Thanks for the sub :) I greatly appreciate the support and feedback.
Nice video. I don't think you increased the value though, you just realized the value. You are pretty much at the mercy of the coin shop or whatever with raw coins when you are trying to sell. What you think is AU, it will be XF to them. Or what you think was low mint state the coin shop "expert" will tell you "no its AU" This stops that from happening. I don't think it increases the value. It just takes most of the subjectivity of the grade out of a negotiation on price. Shops will still lowball you when they buy and over price when they sell with the exception of possibly pawn shops. Good finds my dude!
I would never sell coins to a coin shop when or if I ever sell. Coins will be sold to individual in an auction setting. Coin shops are going to lowball everything to death.
I still think that the value is increased. I have no way of doing it, but imagine if I put these coins up for auction raw vs slabbed... which do you think would demand a higher profit even if I did label the coins as the correct grade both slabbed and unslabbed.
@@Spegtacular I just found your channel by chance, thanks to the coin 'gods'😁 I like the beginnings & endings of your videos and the middle one gets to learn so much. Thank you!
I'm with you I would never sell coins at a coin shop & I'm new when it comes to all this. I've metal detected for over 30 yrs and of course found the add coin, mostly American but never knew how Interresting coin collecting could be till 2 months ago.
You can buy little booklets about the state's for under $20. they're filled with lots of pics & info & I got accupple on Maryland where I live.
This 1 man in the 1800's loved Morgans, he went crazy over them, Morgan's were found all over his house, a basement was jam full of them. He lived in a big house that was torn down in the 1930's.
Sorry this comment is so long but after doing some studying I popped out the metal detector and it's all public land I went on and hrs latter matching the trees to some of the pictures managed to pin point where his house once stood.
Hrs latter I found 2 metal boxes by trees. 1 box had nice jewelry and silverware that was still in it's old pretty wooden box. The other box was LOADED with Morgan's!!! And they'd been very carefully put in the box not just 'dumped in'.
I'd only seen pictures of Morgans on some tv special before this happened. It sure was worth the big blister on my heel😁 I don't have a car and it's a good distance just to walk too from my apt but it was & is well worth it !
I think the guy might have been trying to hide stuff from the British during the War of 1812 maybe?
After many more miles of walking I found 9 more Morgans, in one hole, beautiful condition and all 'S' (SanFraniscos!) also 14 little dime sized gold coins with Queen Victoria on the front and a rider on a horse slaying a dragon on the back, some wearing a big crown, others a smaller crown from the 1800's and two cool American coins from 1795 (?) can't remember, the lady has a big bust, long hair with a bit in a bun.
There are other coins too. But this comment is too long as it is. Some of the Moragns have 'CC', 9 have 'S', some have no mark so they're Philly coins, right?
A Mr. Willis from the Gold & Bullion company was nice enough to along with his team look by phone pics at one of my coins a. 1878 'CC' and said it looked perfect almost too perfect and graded it a 67 & said could be higher if seen in person. (This is right after I found the coins & not done any research) I asked him what might a ball park figure would be on worth and he said it could be a very valuable coin and just said 5 figures. That didn't help me at the time till you see what stuff can go for. Right then I got hooked on coin collecting!
Of course I have no way to know if the coins are real but why go to all the trouble of packing them away so lovingly if they'd just be fakes?
All the coins I have pass the ping test. They have a nice high pitched sound. I've sent away for a scale and a neodymium magnet (I know metals like zinc, copper, lead can't be detected by a magnet) so I'm praying non stop that hopefully all the coins are real and would sell well in auction. I'd love to get out of my crap Hud apartment and away from a very nasty corrupt apt manager, buy a car and house maybe, just a normal GMC truck and nice normal home, and could pay for medical care that would be a dream come true. But don't count your chickens before they're hatched.
Regardless of the out come all this has been & still is a learning experience. I'd love to make some video (s) on my finds and share it with nice folks like you but I live in a crap Hud apartment system where they think they have the right to constantly go through your underwear draws, know your bank account ect., I've never been late with my rent yet the manager gets away with screwing folks by not cashing the cks till the mid month & has cost me hundreds of dollars in late fees till I figured out some of what she's been doing. Now she HAS to make a copy of my cks and write on the paper that it is the right amount and that is WILL BE cashed before the 5th of the month. Oh, she hates that! She hates me ...oh well... I spent 14 yrs in the Army, was a combat soldier & a Drill Sargeant for seven years so I've about had all I can take from her as well. That's why I'm praying the coins are real and could sell well.
Wouldn't it be funny to be able to BUY the aptment building, have decent managers to be able to take over (as really an investment) and I be able to send both managers packing?! I'd have to have a lawyer with me so the head manager can't pull the race card she likes to pull. But I wouldn't waste the time or money (if I had it)! Just fun to think about😁.
But that's why I can't make any video (s) on finding goodies just yet. The manager would try stealing the coins, or getting them some way & would be happy to kick me into the street, she wants an all 'black' building. I don't see skin colors I just see people. But the Hud folks want you stuck right where you are, under their control.
If I get out I WILL write a book about all this and show tennents what rights they have that Hud folks don't want them to know about.
Sorry this comment is so long, it didn't start out to be. The coins are history and if done right can change lives. If my coins are real, sell well, I know it will change my life. I can put a new roof on my church but don't want them to know about that, it would be between me and sweet Jesus who makes all things possible, just my beliefs.
Again thank you sir for shareing your time and knowege with us. Bless you and yours. Sorry this comment is as long as the book, War & Peace.😁
@@ghostcityshelton9378 This is quite a story you tell! Is any of it true? If the treasure included lots of Morgans, you must be kidding about him wanting to hide them during the War of 1812, since Morgans range from 1878 to 1921. If you really have these coins, look-up your "1795's", they could be quite valuable. I would check those gold Queen Victoria coins, as well. Your story is nearly unbelievable because you show cleverness in finding the coins, but in other ways you don't sound knowledgable ... which you would be if you'd used a metal detector for "30 years." You seem to know nothing at all about coins. Nothing.
Very nice ! My Grading skills are improving. I was right 3 out the four gradings. The standing Liberty I was off by 2 grades. I was thinking it was a AU 56 or 57. Great addition to your collection
Mike, you have the "eye" then! I must learn from you!
@@Spegtacular If you search You Tube for PCGS Webinar. They have several lectures with photo's about coin grades, and what to look for. You would be surprised at how much you already know.
@@mikebrewer5758 I've actually watched a few of these :)
There is no AU56 or 57.The AU grades are 50,53,55,58
Right you are :-)
You did very well. Where’s your pawn shop?
How much does it cost for each Calling to be graded and how do I send Them to the place can you please let me know I've Commented to other people to find out and it seems like no one gets back to me please comment back thank you very much
First 55. Damn. I was wrong. Second 45. OMG ms 62. Third 45. I was wrong again. Forth OMG. Nice. I say 64. 55 is not bad.
Cannot any 1 say that my coins or yours are mutch better than they are????on the picture the coin on the right looks like its in a completely different style off case like a 20 pound note that's got the coloured ingredients down on the plastic case it's multiple colours m8..hope there all great hope I'm wrong..just my opinion I'm no coin guy...God bless America....
MS62 on that peace dollar!!!!!!!!!!!!😮😮😮
I was thinking au55 I guess it's true what they say coin grading is subjective and you definitely have to look past the toning! I think that standing liberty quarter could have done slightly better.
Family, yes. Thank you.
You're kind of like a cousin...but one that I actually talk to once in a while :P
Nice one bro! I am about to reg myself with ngc soon, I will just have to choose wisely what to submit. Take care! 👌😊
How expensive is it to get coins graded please comment back thank you very much
No road graders or first graders were harmed in the making of this video.
You don't know that!
Great investments man! You came up!
Thanks Arnie! I think so too.
I was rooting for you with the standing liberty because i thought it looked cleaned. lol nice score.
Definitely a bit of wear, (on the head/legs and a bit on the eagle's feathers) but I didn't see anything that looked like cleaning. The reverse looked really good and based only on that it might have got a 58. Heck for $3 that was definitely a big win.
How much to grade a coin ? I have no idea and put a link to the service please.
Check out NGC's website for information on the membership fees and their grading fees. It's quite confusing :) :) :)
i have a 1944 s penny in fair condition that not steel but it weight is ( 2.75grams )
How much does the economy shipping cost and is it usually a couple month thing. Thanks bro
Wow. Thats awesome. I'm impressed and happy for you! Great job!
Awesome bro! I would be happy great job and beautiful coinage for sure👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼💥
Thanks man! I should grade some more, huh?
Very nice show. Appreciate your time! Keep up the good work. Thanks
If you want bigger easels, look at case knives easels. They are made in the us, and they have a lot of sizes
why people feel the need to hide the grades rather than just go through them I will never know. takes too much time what a waste
Absolutely superb! Excellent, you did a wonderful job! Congrats, very very nicely done! You know your stuff. This is a really great video!🎩
Thanks Papi! I appreciate the support.
I have a 1921 that needs to be graded! I'd say it's a Fine like yours...
I guessed 40 on the Morgan, 08 on the 21 Peace (Prob thrown off due to high relief), 55 on the 35 Peace (I figured there had to be some kind of handling with that toning), and actually first thought the SLQ was maybe MS63 til you tilted it and then was like "Nah I see the wear now.. 55." But a nice 55.
This was a fun video for me. What do you think...more?
The standing liberty looks like it is the inverted mint mark variety.
Nice coins! Well worth the cost of submission. Thanks for sharing!!
I think it was worth it..if not for anything besides the experience. It is a lot of fun getting coins back from grading though....kinda like when you lost a toy as a kid and you finally find it months later (it was under the couch the whole time).
Love the brown peace dollar!
And I guessed right!
The feathers on the reverse are in great shape.
A lot of people trash talked that Peace Dollar.

Great video and you did great. The NGC grades I feel were very accurate, please do more!!
This was about 10 weeks worth of a wait for the submissions so if another video is done then it'll be a little while unfortunately :(
Thanks for the support though! I appreciate it.
very inspiring! thank you for sharing. I wanted to grade my coin too
You stole that 1921 from the pawn shop I would go back smoking deals you got
This particular pawn shop has never had a decent deal beyond that one.
I was wondering if you would like to trade silver for silver
Of course the Grading Company is it going to price it High.... True Value is eBay sold.... What's somebody's willing to pay for it.... In my opinion those grades are questionable.... They hire anybody to grade now.... a lot of times they even write the wrong date on it or wrong description... The grading companies are in business to make money higher grade higher the price the more holders they sell.... On average everybody is paying 15% of the Corn price to the Grading Company that's a lot of money.... It will probably take years to recoup that.... They will grade anyting.... They are grading Silver Eagle bullion.... Not even a coin.... it's bullion.... And people are sending it in to get a 70..... LOL so they send in 20 of them and get 1... 70.... Think about it... The Grading Company made... At least 40% of the price by the time you got them all graded.... there is thousands of monster boxes every year not even opened yet.... They're all at least 69.... funny stuff.... Silver eagles are a joke now Supply outstrips demand for another hundred years at least.... Stick with your Morgan and Peace dollars uncirculated... Best Buy in my opinion get them under twenty bucks.... you got to be out of your mind... To get any silver eagles coin or bullion graded.... they're all new... They'll be over a billion made in another year if they keep on pumping them out
Everybody gets their opinion.
I agree with you on the point of grading bullion coins.
I've been buying and selling coins on Ebay for about 5 yrs now. Those NGC price guides are so out of touch with reality. Look on Ebay any of the coins you just showed NGC graded and you will see their probably going for about half to two thirds of the NGC price guide. That has been my experience as well. Don't quit your day job dude.
NGC prices are all over the place for sure. Similar to Red Book prices.
The Standing Liberty Quarter Before you "unveiled?" it I think its an AU coin + !
You did pretty well on the guess.
Im still in the accumulation phase :) I'm not sending anything in until @ least 2025 if not 2030! Their prospective values & silver content will exponentially greater than my pick up price at that point. condition, condition, condition.
Only 6 more years to go at the minimum! Stick to your guns!!
Great pickups and grades. Pawnshops near me act like they have gold lol :) GL & HH
AWESOME, YOU DID VERY WELL, YOU GOT THE SILVER EYE,
THANK YOU FOR SHARING AND HAPPY HUNTING MY FRIEND
Thanks Augie! I'm glad you had a look.
whats up with all those cracks on the sides of the slabs?
Did you know about the cac jellybean sticker? It values and authenticates your COIN to earn more dollars since I see you are as HAPPY about this as i.
Yes. CAC is an additional fee too.
Congrats on the au55 quarter. I admit I was wrong on that coin. As a dealer though I would not even make an offer on that 35 peace dollar at ms62. To ugly of a coin for me to resell to any of my customers.
It's all good. I love the history these coins have been through. There's a lot of character in the coin.
You did well on all 4 of them. The slq was a homerun. Congrats and I enjoyed your vidio.
Thanks Tom! I wish I could find more of these Standing Liberty quarters ;)
How much to pay for grading..per coin
I have to go to some pawn shops now...
Ms62 wow you got lucky to get that grade.
Congratulations. You did very well. Thanks Spegtacular
Thank you Mossman!
Very cool and congrats on the grading. I prefer NGC over PCGS. 😎😎😎
I think NGC is making a better name for themselves.
I was right with vf45 on the 1880 CC!
Like knowing where the came from with cost
How could we grade our PhilAm one peso coins here in the philippines. D you have any connection or office here? Thank you.
Nice eye. You made some good submissions.
How much did it cost to get them graded if you don't mind me asking. i have some coins i'm thinking of sending.
They ended up being around $23 or so a piece but I did have them graded through an NGC member dealer which did reduce my cost and helped me not need a membership.

I'm surprised the standing quarter didn't get a better grade.And $3.00 investment that's worth $90?
Nice! You def made out by having them graded.
I was 3 for 4, missed the F15 Peace Dollar, looked more like a VG8.
Hey now! You're tryin to reduce my value here ;)
I'm mostly just happy it's a legit coin. That's the only thing I wanted to happen for the 1921. I hope you enjoyed the video! Good job on your guesses.
Very Good Shopping!!!! I got 3 out of 4 right. I thought the liberty quarter would be EF 45. I like how you said something about the feathers on the eagles. That is one of the key factors in the grading of these coins!!!

Man, I need to go to that pawn shop!! lol You did very well! Congrats on your big haul
These are coins from 3 different shops. The Carson City and Standing Liberty Quarter are from the same shop. I’ve shopped for these things at about every pawn shop in a 100 mile radius of me.. and then some lol
Pawn dealers must be idiots where you live...you can't touch junk for that around here, even at flea mkts...great find and beautiful coins
They’re just not coin shops. It’s not their expertise
@@Spegtacular wish I could find a.shop like that LOL...they always expect too much in my experience...love the videos...cheers
Hi. Been watching your vids. Congrats on the grading results! Sub!
Thanks so much :)
Some really good grades there... nicely done.
Thanks a lot!
Someone suggested to me that I send in a few of my new 2020 Black Barts in hopes of getting a great grade. This doesn't make sense to me. Am I right?
I wouldn’t bother. It’s more of a preference really. Look at the graded vs non-graded pricing and then factor in the cost of having it graded to see if there’s value there or not.
It was worth getting those coins graded by NGC for only $20 each. If you had to ship them to NGC on your own it would cost $200 to have them graded and would not be worth it. I probably would not have got the 1921 peace dollar graded since it's only a Fine 15 worth about $70 on ebay. Grading is so subjective sometimes no two dealers can agree on the grade.
A coin like the 1921 is just going to continue to climb in value at a quick pace. Maybe not in my lifetime, but my kids' lifetime will find value in it.
@@Spegtacular I don't buy coins with the expectation of them going up in value. Most likely they will lose value over time as there are fewer coin collectors. Since you bought that 1921 peace dollar so cheaply it won't lose value but they did mint over 1 million of them. All 4 coins you bought at the the pawn shop are good examples of older collectible coins.
Awesome Standing Liberty! I thought it would be slightly higher but I’m definitely not a grader lmfao. I have a few coins that I want to send out to NGC, what’s the best way to go about it? what do I need to know, should I send it through a coin shop or should I do it myself?
Coin shops would be somewhat cheaper usually. On your own is more confidential.
SpegTacular okay. I’m still waiting for my shop to open. I’m in no rush to get it graded, but I did just find out I’m like 1 hour away from NGC.
Thanks spegmistro. Keep these up man. Thanks for sharing it
I'm trying Metal Bum! I'm tryin my best :)
I think you did exceedingly well, although the 1935 Peace Dollar was definitely nowhere near MS62 . Congrats!!
Thanks Eric :) I enjoyed doing this and would like to do more. What do you think?
@@Spegtacular I think it would be entertaining.
1st coin looks AU53, 2nd XF but it gets an MS62? yeah I can't grade LOL! but I think you should get that 2nd one CAC'd just to see if they agree hehehe
I don't think it would get me a green bean CAC sticker ;)
@@Spegtacular heheh
What pawn shops are you going to? And where can I find them
These are my local shops.
I agreed with everything but the peace dollar that is not a ms62 coin. Love your videos though speg keep em coming.
It’s a tough one to judge because of the “interesting” toning on the coin.
Esta muy bueno todo me gusta mucho ver
Great price! Good grades, definitely worth it!
Much Respect!
Those are some great pieces you got for some really good deals
Thank you! I love these finds
Wow you did great on these and I was very close on grade except that darn mint state would have never figured that one out. Thanks for sharing great finds love the Standing Liberty Quarter
The MS62 on the Peace Dollar was shocking to me too...but like I said..I'm going to stand by whatever NGC says ;)
Thanks a lot!
the 35 is proof positive that toning can be ugly.
It's certainly unique!
You did amazingly well on the grading! I would not have bought or submitted the 1935 Morgan. It just looks scruffy! I wouldn't have sent-in a coin that looked "Fine." It just seems like $20 is too much to pay to grade coins that don't rise to a certain visual quality. The beautiful Standing Liberty turned out to be worth... $96.00? That one was my favorite!
I found lots of Liberties, Buffalo nickels and Morgans in circulation when I started collecting as a 12 year old in 1960! Brilliant UNC Morgans were $1.00 then. Time travel would be a lot of fun for coin collectors, wouldn't it?
I subbed to your channel! Keep stacking!
I appreciate the Sub! I have some others that I thought about having grading.. you think I should bother?
Can you send Error coins to NGC?
Yes, NGC does look at mint error coins. You’ll pay extra for having them do it though :)
Very nice coins and some very nice grades, you did very well. love the SLQ. Thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching. I love the Standing Liberty as well. One of my prize possessions.
Cool coins 👍 You did great!
Thank you!
TPG companies still have a long way to go to gain respect in collector communities. Too much divergence and too many amplified grades. Raw is best when you're knowledgeable.
Every show or shop I go to have all of their expensive coins in TPG holders. They must be pretty respected.
@@Spegtacular I am a long time collector and I love to show folks coins graded by the same company that obviously hold coins of different grades but have the same grade placement on a slab or plastic flip. They're good but not good enough. And let's add an important caveat here: never buy a foreign coin in a PCGS or sister grading company capsule. They do a terrible job.
Good to know about the foreigns.
Less than spot?
