I’m here for Nothin But a Good Time. I was hoping this bottle would Talk Dirty To Me, but it ended up being a Fallen Angel. This bottle leaves me wishing I had Something To Believe In.
I just grabbed a bottle of this. Paid $220 after tax and shipping. I’m happy with that but it took up a couple months of budget with that purchase. Cheers
Erin mentioned getting a hint of eucalyptus of the nose. Is that usually a hallmark of rye? Plus, KY ryes are very bourbonesque since they’re usually barely legal.
I would LOVE to get my hands on a Michter's 10 Rye - I've only heard great things! Can't find it anywhere near me in any form - not even to try, so I guess the wait continues. NOT helping to fight my FOMO today, y'all...
Haha, sorry about that! Fortunately, or in this case unfortunately, blinds don't lie. As pricey as it is, we don't lose much sleep at night not having a bottle even though it is pretty good.
I feel like not enough people bring this up in Michter's reviews, these are single barrels. I see a lot of people say the 2022 was bad, but the 2024 was great. Or that there was 15 year old whiskey in the bottle. But these are all single barrels, there's going to be a lot of variation. I don't know how big these releases are but 50 different barrels would still be a fairly small release.
Entertaining! Good to hear your review but at $170+ - not going to try it. Also, I'll stick to a good bourbon especially y'all saying this tastes like bourbon to you more so than rye. Thanks.
Toasted barrel rye is our favorite, followed by barrel strength, but the 10 year is a close third. We just prefer the extra flavor and finish on the other two thanks to the proof.
I'm always trying to get Erin to bust out into spontaneous song at certain prompts, but when I chime in I just try to not have people tune out due to my terrible singing. 😂😂 Glad you enjoy it and thank you for watching!
Love the Poison reference at the opening.... Give me something to believe in!
Poison reference while drinking rye, love it. 80's rocker myself
Yeah I’m always gonna buy michters 10 at msrp. Wish it was cheaper but it’s such a good pour! Great video!
"The taste matches the flavor"
😂😂
I'm getting a lot of "drapes match the curtain" energy here.
😂
It almost always does!

"Pączki" - the Polish filled donuts.
How do you fill a donut with Polish? 😂
Very carefully
Michter’s stuff is so good
I just got a bottle of this last week and it’s great! I agree with everything y’all said. Great job calling out the age 👍🏾
Agree! It’s very viscous, rich, and flavorful pour! I paid 160.00 for my 2023 bottle and it’s great! Cheers!
Michter’s 10 is simply next level. Such a polished product. Wish I could afford to drink it all the time…
The note I always get in well aged rye is Juicy Fruit gum, and it's my favorite note in all of whiskey.
8:27 I'm drinking Hard Truth Sweet Mash Rye as I watch, and if I had it blind I probably would think it's a bourbon.
I guess I have to break down and crack my 24C and try it out now.
Nailed another intro! 🤣

Definitely a bit of a hallmark on the 95/5 MGP ryes like Bulleit, especially at younger ages.
I fairly often get eucalyptus from rye whisky.
What I was insinuating was Erin should've "gone with her gut" when she got that note and firmly said it was a rye 🤣
Another bottle to maybe check out after dinner.

I’m hoping I’ve managed to escape the Poison lyrics today, because someone’s had Regulate playing over and over in my head since last week. 😂 Cheers!
Nothin' but a good time watching this video
The srp is now $200 for the rye and $185 for the bourbon.
I'd rather have Old Overholt 114 rye10 yr and it's half the price 😉 Cheers 👍 🥃
👍👍👍 Love your channel!
Thanks so much Greg!

We agree. And all 50 barrels can and will differ quite a bit.
You guys make this sound like it's the best stuff ever...not sure why I want a donut now...
Ouch, at $170 I'm with Erin.
You’re showing your age with the lyric references 😜
I’m that old too 😂

If you had to choose. This Michters 10 rye or Michters barrel strength rye. Or even Michters barrel toasted rye ?

As a singer, I get a kick out of it when y'all break out a line or two. Ooops, that didn't sound right. haha

Bourbon lovers rye? Pikesville?
Pikesville is a good call. It's not really distributed in our market so we always forget that it exists.
