Great video! Awesome trucks! That Condor FL was really cool. And those Curottos are very fun to watch, especially with cool drivers. Like those green WM mud flaps on Javier's truck. Great job putting this together!
thelyokofannumber1 Thank you! I was shocked to see the Condor in Corona. I saw him three times throughout the day too, the third time was when I figured out he was actually from Corona and not Chino. Loved everything about Javier's truck haha thanks for commenting!
We live in Corona, and two of our drivers are in this video =) "Mr. Raul" and "Mr. Javier" are AWESOME! Last year, my son for his 2nd birthday had a "trash truck birthday party." We had the party right on the front lawn so my son could enjoy the trucks coming by. As the trucks arrived, we took the party to the curb for a bunch of pictures with the drivers as they stopped for a moment to celebrate. Javier and Raul even brought him presents when they came by. My son loves these guys, and he runs to see the trucks every collection day, and tries to have a Coke or some water for them when they stop by. =) I showed my son this clip, and he shouted "Mr. Javier!" when he saw him in the video. =)
+Andy Proctor That's so cool! I'm glad your son even recognized the drivers! Really nice employees of Waste Management. By the way, I'm not sure if you know Miriam Cardenas at Waste Management, but she is in charge of public relations. There are many events at the El Sobrante Landfill, so if you or you're son is interested, I can give you her email and you could inquire about different events or even tours and such!
Thanks for the reply =) I would definitely be interested in a tour or event at the landfill! I have taken my older kids- but the youngest would absolutely love it! Also- I was wondering if you have a link to the picture that you saw from the party with Raul. Javier said it was put somewhere- but we never found it. My wife has a Facebook album dedicated to that day- but I don't think she made it public. Thanks again! =)
Andy Proctor Alright! Feel free to email Miriam (mcarden4@wm.com) or myself (WMmaster626@yahoo.com), and either of us can help arrange something! Here is the link to the picture I found: goo.gl/ubRmJe If you don't mind, I'd love to see some pictures from that day as well!
Really like that Mack LE with the reflective tape on the Curotto. Super fast and really kept my attention. Not to mention the truck looks good all around with the older Curotto paired to it. Great work!
Nice video Aaron! Even though it seems like WM is ordering the same trucks for all of their city franchises now, those Mack Wittkes were definitely fun to see for a change... don't see that too often in L.A. Sort of sounded like a G.I. Mack on take offs. Interesting signboards too - haven't seen one of those yet. Holy crap at 14:15.... must have had fun with the cleanout area afterwards. Great job!
SoCalGarbageTrucks Thank you! Corona's newest residential truck is a 2014 320/Amrep, and they only have one, so most of their fleet is still pretty oldish. It was great to see a nice variety of trucks, particularly the FLs. 14:15 actually didn't create much, if any trash behind the blade! This truck has a follower packer, so that really prevented spillage behind the blade. Works well for sure! Thanks for the comment!
Great work! Woodinville has one of them condor leaches like the one at the beginning. And I liked seeing those Macks again because I think woodinville got rid of 264351 and that's disappointing to say the least. That curotto can on Javier's truck looks awesome! Cool to see in with the striped reflective tape rather than the plain white kind. I'm gonna say you make some of the best compilations in the group.
Northwest Refuse Thank you! That's awesome! I really want to go back and film that Condor. Cool guy too. Very disappointing to hear about 264351. Where'd you hear that they got rid of it? I agree about Javier's Curotto! And I really, really appreciate your opinion on these compilations, thanks for that! Nice to know that the switch from single truck videos to compilations has been successful thus far.
I have a part time job in woodinville near the yard so I drive by it everyday to get home and I haven't seen the truck since I started the job and I tried to follow it out of the yard last week but I never saw it.
Awesome job! That freightliner at the beginning is nice! Sounds good on takeoff too! Javier seems like a cool guy too, reminds me of how Eddie does it, Eddie also polishes his truck. Was that Kevin in the green? Loved watching Javier collect cos he flipped alotta lids and is pretty fast. That logo looks so good! Nice of Kevin to driver you around and take you home. Awesome video!
Kevin Barajas Thanks! Yeah really like those Condors! Javier was really cool! That was indeed Kevin in the green shirt that you see in many clips. Thanks again!
Fantastic video Aaron! Thanks for going here. Corona is one of my favorite WM Haulings since they have/had my trucks lol Surprised you didn't see any ex WMLA curottos.. Are there any WX's out there still? How about the MACK Autoreach? Nonetheless I like what you got. Those curottos were fun to watch and like how they lid flip. They're kept in excellent condition, even when they're still green. Other curottos are destroyed from what I seen lol. Also like the rattling noises they make. Wish you could've got the Condor. Did that 2012 Pete flip lids? Lol Kevin should make a YT
South Bay Refuse Thank you! It was definitely worth the trip. I saw a few ex-LA Metro trucks at the landfill, none on route unfortunately. It was about 4:30 when we started looking for trucks, so I was surprised we even found some. Corona has a ton of WX's. Got a couple pics from the landfill of a few WXs. We met a cool driver too that gave us water. Mack Autoreaches went to GI and last I saw, GI was saving the chassis of one. I love the fact that the Curottos were still green. Really miss that around Arcadia. Yeah, agree about the Condor. We're gonna try to film the Condor one of these days since Raul is cool. Didn't even know they had that truck. Yeah, pretty sure the 2012 flipped lids. Gotta find that too. Lol Kevin's planning on it one of these days. He has awesome stuff. Thanks for the comment!
I've been wondering what's up with corona for a while now... and I think I can say the current state of affairs seems satisfactory. I think Javier is the hottest hand in a curotto I've seen in quite awhile... makes me want to go out there sometime. Also 14:30 makes me think that bottom pack curottos are really quite a good idea, and its too bad we dont see them more (lol).
***** Haha Corona was entirely satisfying. A nice mix of trucks and all the drivers we met were super cool. Javier was great, definitely one of the best Curotto drivers I've seen and really maintains his truck nicely. You should make the trip out here, there's some neat rigs around. Thanks for the comment Matt :-)
***** I'm not too good at distinguishing the different packers, so not sure. He had a follower blade though, so that helped with the overflow in the hopper. According to Kevin, this truck had a different packer than the typical ones that WM has.
willthetrashman I actually don't live in Corona, but the yard that services this city is ordering Rehrig with some Ottos thrown into the mix. No more EVR IIs.
they dump greens and recycle at burrtec's MRF guess trash goes too landfill other day I seen 3 of those asl think green dumping there 1 driver said they still have the starr rapid rail someplace in either chino yard or corona think he said they will convert them too roll off or new system or scrap
+David Schieler They dump recycle at El Sobrante Landfill...as said in the description. Chino dumps at Burrtec and they don't have the Starrs anymore. They are 100% CNG.
I don't get why they say corona address on the chino trucks? Ive been kicked outta chino yard least 3 times for snooping lol didn't go inside just wanted too see what was in the yard its like its top secret had chino cops escort me almost back too the freeway didn't know trespassing was being across the street landfill Is off temscal canyon from the 15? cause I got lost I know corona yard is off magnolia they got lots of old stuff is the pete roll off from chino or corona or MV I seen it around so whats next for you too film? any burrtec in the near future I can give you locations for wed thurs fri routes are all off the 10 freeway wed they are by the courthouse and from citrus all the way too maple off miller they take lunch around 9 am foothill and tamarind George's burgers id say 3 or 4 trucks mostly the asl now with the RL being junked they have a FL for bulk RL got taken out by drunk driver burrtec guy has a broken shoulder
David Schieler Corona sent their old Diesel trucks to Chino as they got more LNG trucks. Chino staff is really laid back and cool...I know the district manager out there and she is really nice. Not sure why you would have a problem. I've hung out in front and inside the yard multiple times. Corona and Chino both have Pete roll offs. The Chino ones go to West Valley MRF though. Not sure what's next to film, we'll see.
Your info about Colton was almost correct, but it was actually Republic who wanted out of Colton, not Colton wanting Republic out. They just sold the contract to CR&R two weeks ago.
Great video! Awesome trucks! That Condor FL was really cool. And those Curottos are very fun to watch, especially with cool drivers. Like those green WM mud flaps on Javier's truck. Great job putting this together!

Omg corona...uuh predicted the future
Awesome video! Love me some Mack with a lid flipping Curotto Can LOL!
***** Thanks! Haha yeah! Can't get too much better!

Filmed one of those Condor Wittkes today.
Northwest Refuse Nice, looking forward to the video!
Make that two lol.
Crying 😢🎉
