Too much of UA-cam makeup videos are about new products, and frankly, we need videos on using what we have. Personally, I would rather see techniques or a variety of looks using the products you have already. We are “grown-ass” adults, who have mortgages and bills. I, too, love makeup, but I’m the Special Education Teacher who was assaulted by a violent student and I am not able to work anymore due to my extensive injury, so I don’t work at all anymore. This makes my need for makeup even less because some days, I don’t even have the energy to wash my face. Another point is your dedicated followers can share what works for us and we can make a tight knit community sharing suggestions and tips. That’s really what’s it’s all about-connection-not spending tons of money. If a company sends you something-bonus. Otherwise, there are lots of video topics you can choose from to film as often, or as little, as you want. Your eye makeup, and your makeup overall, looks so great all the time. I would like to see what you do with what you have. For example, how versatile are the products? Which brow pencils look good as nude lipIiners? I like things that can be used in multiple ways. I think the Physicians Formula butter eyeshadows can double as cheek and bronzer products. One of those palettes has the exact colour of eyeshadow as the butter blush I have of their line. Further, your makeup techniques are excellent. Even though you and your viewers are not professional makeup artists, what we have on our side is experience that comes with age. We’ve seen trends come and go. I was a teenager in the 1970s, so those of us who were alive then have survived blue eyeshadow and a multitude of other looks and makeup products. I will continue to watch your channel. It’s refreshing to see someone who is older and wiser use their maturity to make their channel suit their time and budget available.

I too decided that enough is enough, and am on a low buy this year, especially eye shadow palettes since I figure I am going to have to live another 100 years to ever use them up. I would love to see you use some of the palettes we have all bought in the last few years. Your eye looks are always stunning, and I'm sure we all own something similar enough to be inspired by the looks you create.
I've been watching you for a little over a year now and I'm sorry I don't comment alot, but I wanted to make sure I did this time to let you know..I have really enjoyed your channel. I'm the same way with a love for makeup but no one around me feels the same way as we do..so it's nice to watch you enjoy makeup as much as I do. I'm sorry your numbers went down and I understand that must be so frustrating with all the work you put into your channel. I am so happy you've decided to come back! Don't worry about always having the latest and greatest makeup to show us. I watch your videos mostly because I like your presentations and your calming voice. My wallet will also be happier and fatter because I won't be spending as much. You may not know it, but you have definitely made me buy a lot of the stuff I own! I will watch you even if you do a makeup tutorial with something as old as the original Urban Decay Naked palette. Or how about Shop My Stash's? You don't have to show us your inventory if you're not comfortable doing POV videos. I'm perfectly fine with already curated makeup baskets. Some of my favorite videos to watch are Panning videos, although I know it is not for everyone. And then there are those UA-camrs that do Top 5 vs. Bottom 5 kind of themes based on their current inventory. Just some ideas. Whatever you put out, I'm sure we loyal fans will always watch and support you!
It’s good to see you back! I understand where you’re coming from. I have spent a lot of money on makeup that I probably would not have if I didn’t have the excuse if “content creating.” I doubt my channel and Instagram will ever be more than a hobby for me but I figure if it stops being fun, I’ll stop doing it. I hope that you’ll enjoy making some different content and maybe not posting as often will make of fun again. 💋
