Rich Gidrey is one of the best anglers around Corpus Christi, Tx. Years ago I worked with Rich and found Rich to be a standup guy, always pleasant and fun to be around. I really enjoyed the video and it was a good learning experience getting to see you two in action again. Great video guys. God bless for being good men and being good conservatioanist.
This show was aired on TV a few years ago and we reeditted them for UA-cam. We will be filming again with Rich Gidrey and my experience after the freeze is that lure fishing has slowed down dramatically. But if you can find the fish, bait fishing is on fire. Shrimp, mullet or croaker seems to be hot. The lures has been a huge struggle since the freeze.
used to kill it under there with simple spoons40 years ago. we ride to indian point on our bikes and fish until we had get water drink. bottled water wasnt a thing yet lol
Nice video especially fishing Nueces, only thing is bait fishing with croaker wish you would of switched it up and used artificial too in this video. It gets to be boring after you catch a few over and over with live bait.Just mix it up a bit. It would help with guys who might want to go out with the guide
Thanks for the feedback, Dan. Lure fishing is our primary method of catching shallow water backbay fish and Rich Gidrey is a professional tournament angler and one of the best fisherman I know. He loves to fish with bait or lures. And we'll definitely be making more lure shows in the future with him. Please subscribe if you haven't done so already. Just Get Out There.
Crazy how you can have all that gear plus the boat. And all I gots is a backpack with some jigs and plastics in it. With a nice setup. All for about 200 hundred bucks counting the backpack. And I still catch better quality fish. But I dont show my spots. But it's not the spot. It's the guy as I always say. Good fish but would like to see some lures and not just the easy stuff to catch.
Great comment. I love the traditionalist approach you take to fishing. Not everybody can pull that off. We're reading a lot of prior TV shows and making them into UA-cam shows. Lure fishing is my top priority. But when we want to bring fish home to feed the family, you can't beat live bait. But just like you, catching them with lures is primo, a top accomplishment and most fun. Keep your comments coming. Just Get Out There.

whats your pole setup rig and all, what time of day? and do you only go at high tide? or perhaps you just showed up at low tide?
Good looking quality fish there guys. Looks like a nice bounce back from the freeze.

The first hole you were at by the boat ramp is a great spot at night under the lights.
I didn't know that! Maybe we'll try it someday. Thanks for the info.
Awesome fishing guys!
