This tutorial is hands-down, the best one on UA-cam. You just helped me install these on my 2016 JKU. Thank you!

Bushwacker should pay you for this video. It was the best one I've seen and v it made it so much faster and easier. Thank you soo much!!!!!!

Way under-manufactured. Most of these steps could've been done at the factory. Thank you for taking the time to make this video!

Thank you for sharing this video! I was able to install my fenders simply by watching your video and not even looking at the instruction manual.

I think this video is the only reason I got my fenders on correctly and they look great. Great video, thanks. They should send this video on a USB drive with the paper directions from the factory.

Thanks for a very well made HD video. The detailed cutting scenes were very helpful. I don't think I would've made it without them!

Great instructional video! I watched it several times before and during the install of my Bushwackers on a '12 Wrangler JK. Much better than reading the paper instructions that came with the fenders. Thanks!

I haven't even bought them yet but I am happy I saw this video first. A lot of detail but you can tell it's a quality product and installation isn't that crazy. This video sealed the deal that these are the ones I will be buying and I will be watching this video soon during my install. Thanks.

For those individuals that don't own an air compressor and pneumatic tools, a Dremel style electric tool with a "cut-off" wheel works perfectly for a job like this. IMO, a Dremel style tool with a cut-off wheel would work better than an "air saw".

This is a great video. Very well done. I wasn't sure I had the confidence to do this myself considering you have to start cutting into things, but you explained and showed it clearly enough that now I do. I really appreciate the time you put into this. Thank you.

I really thought the splash guard was going to be a pain to cut, but after watching how its done in COLOR ... it doesn't look bad at all, waiting for my fenders to come in the mail ! .
I just wanted to add something if you don't mind ..... the Stainless bolt with nyloc .... its best to use some anti-seize on the bolt just in case you might want to remove the fenders at a later date .... depending on what quality those nylocs are, the plastic, when it hardens, might make it almost impossible to remove the nyloc nut.
Freaking great video !! going to use this when I get to installing my fenders !

Great video! Unfortunately, it is not as easy as this. The little holes never lined up with my fenders (plus the clips moved every time I tried to mount the fender), and I had to drill and cut away at the holes in order to get the holes aligned. Have a professional do this if you can afford it. If not, this video sure beats the impossible instruction guide. Thanks Auto Customs!

I had the same trouble. NONE of the holes matched up at all. Tried lining up the holes with the fenders off of my jeep and they weren't even close. Agreed that this video is awesome though.

Yes, good installation video. The hole in the flare don't line up well even with the little tricks that you give. You make it look easy, and it probably would be if the parts were better engineered.

Is there a way to get at the turn signal wires to reverse them without removing the flares? Why Doesn't Bushwhacker Just put the right color wires in the right locations?!?!? WTF??!?!?

  • @BlackLabAdventures

I don't understand why you are snipping off the heads of the plastic anchor pins. Use a phillips head screwdriver and press inward on the center portion of the anchor pin and that will release the tension on the pin. Then use a pair of pliers to "twist and remove" the pin. You can reuse the pins several times before they weaken.

So you just leave the front shield with a clip at the front, 3 screws at the top, but hanging freely toward the backside? Yeah that’s going to make some noise while driving.

I think that Unlimited Sport comes with the 3:21 gearing, right? Did the tire/wheel upgrade cause too much strain on the trans/engine?

They are door panel trim clip removal pliers (www.amazon.com/Panel-Removal-Pliers-Domestic-Foreign/dp/B009WG296Q). We would suggest if you don't have them to use a plastic pry bar.

We aren't sure exactly what it's called but it's a special nut from the factory that works as a retainer to hold the splash shield in place. You remove it with a 10mm and reinstall it later.
