Great tutorial! I’m just about to go through those steps with my U.S. and British armour so thanks for the tips as it’s been years since I’ve been at my modelling bench!
Hey! Great Tutorial, those tanks look really nice! The only thing I would change is to paint the ammo box on the .50 cal dark green. Other than that, fantastic work!
yup more or less how I do my Bolt Action Shermans except I do a pin wash i.e. gloss varnish then I apply the wash and then matt varnish after to get rid of the shine. Also for the decals, I dirty them up with a wash and then paint the odd thin line of the olive drab base color to simulate scratches and bingo you've got a great sherman tank.
Hey Pete. Great video (as always). I'm a bit confused by what you say at 4:02. You're talking about using German Grey, but you appear to be adding "dirt" with German Camo Brown. Which is it? Both?
Hi everyone, I hope all of you guys and possibly girls don't hate on me, but I don't really have the time or interest for the painting part. I'm just starting to get interested in some Tank models like the KV series and the Shermans. I just really want a few to place around my room and office as a nice decorative bit of my personality and interests. I just want to know if there are any Quality Sellers of pre-painted smaller models like what I'm looking for. If so, please let me know. Remember, there are no mistakes, just happy accidents. Thank you all very much and Happy Painting!
Hello, can you please confirm that the spray is this one: acrylicosvallejo.com/en/producto/hobby/hobby-paint-en/us-olive-drab/ As yours comes out quite green, but they show it much more brown on their website. Cheers!
As far my understanding goes, the book does have new stuff, including a modern war section, and also usess the vallejo paints in the guides instead of Battlefronts own line of paints.

Hello Pete, is it possible that you will do more Flames of War models down the line?
Can we have a return to FoW, maybe kitbash or customise tanks to make them more personalised, such as stowage and extra armour
Wow that 1:100 scale Sherman looks amazing, excellent work and great tutorial video thank you!

Hi Pete, can you do a tutorial video on how to paint Japanese infantry (for Bolt Action)?
Thank you Pete, just finished the first of 13 Shermans.

Very nice, short and to the point, thanks!
Love your videos do you have one for 15mm Soviet tanks
5:08
Commander: Gunner! Fire at that panzer!
Gunner: But sir, I can't
Commander: And why not?
Gunner: Our gun barrel is closed solid!
Really nice painting! Thanks for sharing this tutorial.
Do you think necron compound then a wash would look around the same at oily steel?
Will you show us german paratrooper with splinter camo
I use the colors of war book for bolt action also
thanks for your video, I learned a lot
WHO GAVE THIS AMAZING PAINTER A DISLIKE!!!
Excellent video! At 4:08 are you drybrushing using German grey or German camo medium brown? Screen says brown, but you mention grey.

Black wash for detail with water or not ?
Any chance of using 1:72 models with Flames of War? Or is that something that breaks the game
Could you do this for a 28mm tank?
It would be a bit trickier with the washes but I don't see why not!
I know it's very similar, but could you make a similar tutorial for soviet ww2 tanks?
Love your work Pete

Great tutorial Pete. Just one question, which brand of gloss varnish would you suggest?
Hey Pete are you going to do any Craftworld?
very cool
Cracking stuff
Why no British tanks or British colour variants of the sherman
British stuff will be coming later on 😉
Is there anything new in the new Colours of War or it's just a reprint?

What brush size do you use?
0 and 00 for detail work and Army Painter drybrushes
Hate to be a pain in the ass, but are we gonna ever get an Iron Warriors tutorial for the new chaos space marines?
Really hope Pete sees this because I’ve been waiting
Ammo cans are OD
