You make some valid points about Joe Douglas. I have said repeatedly that Joe Douglas disproportionately valued potential upside and minimized downside risks. One point you didn't cover was the failure to sign a backup QB before the 2023 season. In hindsight, Robert Saleh was correct when he said every week the "Zach gives us the best chance to win." We didn't see how it was possible, but after seeing Tim Boyle & Chris Streveler play, I realized Saleh was correct. That was, in effect, GM malpractice.
If the organization was worried about shattering Zach Wilson’s confidence, they wouldn’t have let his teammates wear “Mike White is my QB” t shirts a week after his benching. This organization, top to bottom, is embarrassing.
Jets deserve everything that's happening to them. zach had no weapons and no offensive line, absolutewanks of team mates and coches let this happen and blame it all on a rookie qb. Then trade him to broncs for a 6th rd pick, proceed to blow a heap of money on a 40 yearold qb. spend money on every position and nothing. I hope Wilson goes to the Giants and carves up! @@kakaa6199 Zach Wilson was ass. Terrible player and terrible pick. He had more weapons than most in his situation. His ability to scramble could’ve helped out with the offensive line issues. Somehow he was the only quarterback in that room to struggle with Mike Leflore’s offense. He sucks.
Becton was a LT in college. Wirfs was a RT in college. JD was drafting for a LT. Becton had a good rookie season then got injured in his second season. Jets medical staff couldn't find the right treatment for Becton. So he was out for his second and third seasons. When he did come back he showed signs of rust.
Good vid BUT… Sam Darnold is showing I believed that the Jets should have built around him, by either drafting OT Penei Sewell - OR - trading the #2 pick for a haul. Now I liked Zach, but I didn’t think his skill set was any better than Sam’s. But instead of supporting Zach as a rookie with a backup QB and…..AND a decent offensive line, they just let him get beat up. Just like they did with Sam, AND just like they’re doing now with that “has been” QB who I NEVER believed in (the scares of Brett Favre).
As a fan of the Packers we are smarter than most other teams fans so we knew Rodgers was washed up so a GM trading for him seald his fate and exposed him as another clueless overated clown.

How can you say he failed if he wasn't able to do what he needed to do. If owner is messing with everything he didn't fail the owner did😊
