What about a giant custom jungle tree with roots that are high off the ground so you can walk through it into your base. Maybe that's too big of a project though
For your "problem" with the tree, I would do a bit of mud here and there at the surface, mixed in with coarse dirt, then do a "progression" towards coarse dirt / rooted dirt, and then rooted dirt / dirt, and add a few roots
Yeah I played hardcore for a while, thinking that it increased the fun I was having due to the added challenge. What it actually did was made me very risk averse and took away a whole bunch of the joy of playing the game.
@TaterVater5 Yeah, that's what I was thinking. I know people enjoy the hardcore style. I enjoy the regular way. I enjoy watching hardcore style, but watching the regular style is so much relaxing, in my opinion.
Just watched the first video in this series and just now starting this video. I love the way that you’re doing this series. Very similar to how I think the average player goes about playing the game. No crazy planning, no crazy hardcore world. Just enjoying the game and building as you go and/or need the extra space.
New subscriber! Finally a UA-cam Minecraft player who isn’t chaotic trying to appeal to kids.. Your videos are relaxing and I appreciate it. I’m new to your style and excited to see this world progress. 100 day challenges aren’t fun to watch because they have expirations. And hardcore limits the players in challenging themselves. My suggestion is to just keep building. None of this collecting mob heads nonsense.. don’t find all the block types blah blah.. just play Minecraft. Maybe in the next tree house make a bridge connecting the two “houses” and not a walking path.. I also love when all buildings have purpose rather than just being there for looks.. Get glass for windows! I don’t know.. just love the music. Great two videos, thanks for keeping it chill
Dude, I honestly think you might have found one of the coolest and biggest cave systems ever. Like, your seed could be in one of those "Great Seeds" videos.
Yeah he really did find a beautiful spot to build. I hope he keeps this world for a few years and I'm excited to see how it changes overtime. Just found this videos yesterday, but I'm trying to spend more time watching small creators and less time watching the guys with millions of subs
the storage treehouse looks amazing on the inside, but looks a little disproportionate on the tree from the outside. Maybe add some fenceposts coming down from the corners to make it look a little more stable?
I just started waching this serie and i love it❤. It's fun to watch someone play the same as I would do, no hardcore and just ok whit dying sometimes 😁
Anyone remember captain sparklez mega treehouse??? I was just a young kid maybe like 11-12 I wanna say. That was some of the best content ever, and this gives me the same exact vibe. Down to the deep forest jungle house obviously didn’t have this my stuff but it was still a great time.
New to your channel and enjoying your content. The jungle biome always makes me think of the movie, Jewel of the Nile(it’s old, like me…lol) and name my parrots after jewels…the red-ruby, blue-sapphire, green-emerald…etc. You’re welcome to use those if you like them. Don’t think I’ll be using them any time soon…lol Or you could just name her Jewel.
I came across Part 1 yesterday and as somebody who is restarting my UA-cam channel I clicked on your video, because I love watching other small creators and I have to say this was really fun to have playing in the background as I was playing minecraft yesterday. Great content and keep up the grind. I think yesterday it said you were at 4.89k subs and now it says 5.01k. I'm not surprised that you're growing fast. I'm currently playing Subnautica (a much less popular game now that it is a decade old and isn't really a game that people replay often) and using it as a starting point to practice recording, editing, uploading, and thumbnail practice, but I plan on making minecraft videos in the near future. I personally just started playing minecraft a few months ago, so I'm not very good lol. Well I'll keep watching and leaving likes on the videos and I wish you all the best.
Hey PK! You don’t have your be good at the game to be able to share your journey. Just be yourself and have fun and there will be an audience. It will be super slow at first, but that’s actually ideal. It gives you time to practice and grow as a creator. Last of all, good luck! Besides, that plays a huge role in success on this platform :)
Just got the game about a month ago and playing it with friends as a way to stay in touch. I really enjoyed your first episode on this series. It gave me lots of good info and ideas. Liked and subbed. Cheers.
Tater, you've inspired me to build a tree house in a jungle near my base, last night I was looking for a decent sized tree to begin and perhaps grow a few more around it
You can get around the evenness of the tree by building the buildings off the sides. Build branch offshoots and attach rooms to those, then your build wanders back and forth and doesn't have to follow squares up the trunk itself
Yeah I think that’s what I’m going to try for my next few builds. Easy to offset the buildings by adding a big branch or something underneath for support as well. Thanks!
Ya know... You can place a boat next to the trader llamas and if they get in the boat, they drop their leads. No more slaughtering llamas. Unless you want the leather. Then swing away!
First comment on UA-cam for me, been watching your videos for a long time now, great to see you’re getting so many views now! Hope this channel will grow and grow, it’s clear you’re making these videos for the love of the game and that’s a really nice to see. Wishing you all the best!
These videos really do need to be at the top of the watch page. I don't get how these people are stealing videos and getting so much stuff free, rather than good videos like this
I think you could build a root structure from stripped wood so that the roots kind of spread out through the lush caves, giving the illusion of an ages-old tree, perhaps the tree that started the forest itself.
Maybe too late ugh. But what about a variation of mud and stripped logs for the cave staircase pillar. Btw, thanks for bringing good old vanilla lets plays. Started a new world after your first episode 😁
Hey thanks so much for this comment! I'm still not done with the tree hole (apparently I just named it that). I held off on making changes to it in the next video as well, but we'll get back to it. I think at this point I want to try transitioning the outside wall of the staircase better, then I can improve the tree pillar later if needed.
Thanks for the feedback! What if I added some mossy cobble and then added little boulders around the landscape? I also thought about recreating a jungle temple as a mine entrance. Would that make it better?
With the tree since its a small space I would use mangrove roots and some muddy roots rooted dirt and go from the muddy and regular roots with some rooted dirt into regular dirt and then stone
@@TaterVater5 ya I think having the trunk come down some is fine but since you spiral around that spot was just and idea to transition down. Im very interested to see where you lets play goes I've been looking at adding new channels outside of hermits and friends and so far enjoyed the chill first episode. Reminds me of watching tinfoil Chef just hang out and do his thing 🙂

I'd build a skeleton XP farm at the spawner you just found. It's going to come in handy.
For your "problem" with the tree, I would do a bit of mud here and there at the surface, mixed in with coarse dirt, then do a "progression" towards coarse dirt / rooted dirt, and then rooted dirt / dirt, and add a few roots

For the idea of roots you could also mix in some rooted dirt for that little bit of natural texturing.

With the vines you can clip the end with sheers whereever you want it to stop growing. Same thing with lush glow berry vines and what not
Does that work with bamboo as well, or just string?
I think you could build a root structure from stripped wood so that the roots kind of spread out through the lush caves, giving the illusion of an ages-old tree, perhaps the tree that started the forest itself.
Oh like on the floor of the first “level” of the cave and then going down to the lower levels? That could be really cool.

Hey there’s an idea.. thanks!
Maybe make some support beams on your treehouse
I tried to add some branches underneath, but yeah it probably needs more support
I have a bamboo jungle right by my spawn and you're totally inspiring me
also for future reference you can now lead boats, so you can fit two mobs in a boat and then lead it and get in your own boat
I forgot all about that!
Im a little late to the party but you could put mangrove roots and rooted dirt below ground level for the tree.
