DreamWorks and Paramount Will Be Clashing Soon...

- With DreamWorks' The Wild Robot and Paramount's Transformers Ones both bringing robot movies, and both releasing next to each other, it seems we have the next contender for the Barbenheimer treatment. Or perhaps a less beneficial clash in a good ol' fashion competition. Coveting the same mechanical themeing and both coming from titans of the industry, it's a real toss up to see which animated movie will actually fare ahead! Is this DreamWorks doing what they do best, with an artsy adaptation that strikes at the heart? Or does a 40-year old franchise just have that much staying power to trump aything vaguely original? It's a battle of the bots coming September 2024. And even if DreamWorks have last-minute delayed a week. What is 7 days really? One way or another, DreamWorks and Paramount Will Be Clashing Soon...

...But what's really more important? Profit numbers, or cultural impact? Who wins in what category there...? - Фільми й анімація
But who will win? Place your bets. And give as much analytical justification as you can ;)
They just delayed The Wild Robot LOL
i think the turn out for transformers is gonna be pretty lackluster after the first few days
im actually not too surprised transformers tried to push its date forward. this movie from my understanding started production before the pandemic and got held back because well hasbro isn't doing so hot right now with profits. alot is riding on this movie after the total failure of the MLP reboot , issues with dnd , the strange world of its physical issues with toy sales tied to disney at the moment ,and well the fact this movie actually seemed to have (at least from what i can find ) been originally drafted as a launch for EarthSpark as a series.
which - Earthspark has already been released so im leaning on that this probably had a lot of script reworkings too but not 100% certain on that front. if its kept its Earthspark origins even in a small amount though - it might end up proving to be an okay film . people seem split on the premise of Earthspark but as far as lore concepts for new characters introduced over there its really interesting.
do i think itll live up to other versions of the franchise ? ah probably not as far as fan reception goes cause theres already infighting going on within the fandom about the designs and voice casting . the design issue is so interesting though.
cause it seems ? to stem entirely from the fact that these designs are more simplified (like earthspark but higher budget ) and thus cant possibly capture the same feel as micheal bay's version ?
but whats weird there is not one liked the designs of that live action version when it first came out. there were complaints about it being harder to visaully track movement in 3d and issues with expression .
so having those issues fixed here i dunno strikes me as a bit odd.
but im also passively entangled in this whole situation cause i find the bizarre patterns of choices with hasbro lately to be really interesting . especially now that the current CEO i believe is stepping down.
but between the two ? i think transformers will make its budget back but wont be as overall successful as hasbro needs it to be . fact i have a hunch people who go to see transformers might return to the theatres to see wild robot and boost its numbers just to make comparisons between the approaches for stuff like the designs and writing even though theyre vastly different films. its giving me Bugs life Verse Ants vibes but with no intentional hostility vibes.
Wild robot for the win, it's new and something different that audiences want to see!!
Bros mad bc a transformers film is now a animated movie☠️😭😭
The Wild Robot wins!
This could be the new 'Barbenheimer'. Come on guys, let's make 'The Wild Autobots' a thing. Start a hash tag, do fanart, get the hype train going. I'm talking cinema event of the year.
More like Wildformers
@@SashaTheGun Even better!
I like Wild Autobots better
The Wildbots
I like this approach it's no longer a twin release
But a true event moment that isn't forced
Slight correction. Unicron is the great destroyer. The great creator is called Primus.
And none of their incarnations are remotely consistent!
Glad someone pointed out, there is no exact reason they exist since all the continuity’s are different.
@gummygrenade Yes, because that's transformers
@@Animatedtidalwave Mass shifting is canon for a reason. The lore is about as consistent as their sizes
Josh Cooley (director of Transformers One) has said the he movie will have a lighthearted tone at the start and progress into a much more severe movie.
With the end being the complete opposite of the start
Yea, two bestfriends turnig against eachother which starts a masive war sure as hell does not sound like a standard kids film
I think Wild Robot is probably gonna be better. But we shouldn't underestimate Transformers One. The director has stated they purposely decided to have their marketing be comedic as to hide the film's true intent. Also am I the only one aware that they have a Toy Story director!? That assures me that the film will at least be decent.
4:29 as a transformers fan, yeah no unicron didn’t create the cybertronians. Primus did, unicron is like the devil to primus’ god
Yea I am also a fan and I am mad at that mistake I like this comment
They announced that The Wild Robot will come out in September now. Talk about bad timing.
Late September
They just don’t want to repeat 2010 again.
CURSE YOU MINIONS!!!
@@Mariofan1208Alhusayni-hc5op what happened in 2010?
@@ThePrimeLightning Despicable Me and Megamind came out in the same week.
“Dreamworks doesn’t have faith in themselves cause they moved the date back one week”
I guess studios can’t making smart business decisions anymore
Ikr, having two robot themed animated movies release the same day would cause both movies to lose money
@@VTTV5 exactly, and the fact that Transformers is a very popular IP, so I think TWR would’ve taken a much bigger hit. Moving dates was a very smart move
Lol yep
never forget June 2023
@@talakagames5 true but also it hasn't been hitting them top numbers like it did back then,
This is Despicable Me vs Megamind all over again.
Both movies were released in the same week.
I think the Transformers One will be Despicable Me aka the annoying, but a good movie and Wild Robot will be Megamind aka the underrated masterpiece that will probably get a "good" sequel.
@Jeffrey-mate what do you mean megamind doesn't have an sequel. it only has an very long pilot to a horrible show.
I’m a Transformers fan. Direct all of your Transformers questions to me.
As for how they’re built, that’s the Well of All Sparks.
Unicron is the being of ultimate destruction, not creation. The ultimate creation being is Primus.
The well is how they are activated to my knowledge. The spark activates a protoform and a mold gives it shape.
Well I mean- which continuity are we talking here :)? Aligned? IDW? Bayverse? Miscellaneous? Actually who am I kidding, no one can keep them all straight XD
I am also an transformers enthusiast and I am mad at the inaccuracies in this video but I don’t really like the direction the new film is going In I think it should have been a bit more like the games
@@DeadHaremGuy I don’t believe that’s accurate. From my understanding, protoforms are created and activated in the Well of All Sparks and newly born Cybertronians simply have to crawl out. I think what you’re implying is that they manufacture protoforms and then dump them into the Well, which I don’t think is true. At least, not in the aligned continuity
@@EvieWren Mostly aligned, but really it’s a hodgepodge of all my favorite bits of all the continuities that I’ve thrown together into my personal favorite canon. There’s so many that there’s not really a choice
This video aged poorly the nanosecond you uploaded it.
Hilariously, it was just recently confirmed that Wild Robot has been moved to a different date to avoid competition with Transformers
I'm seeing Transformers first. I absolutely love the franchise and need to support it. I'll probably end up seeing the other movie eventually with my family but Transformers is the one I'm seeing first, and probably more than once.
😬 about that. Welp guess now it's a month of competition. Feel like Transformers One could win but it could be close and go either way.
Transformers lore nut here, Primus is actually the creator god of the transformers. Unicron is the god of destruction.
Let's be honest, dreamworks has no chance. Not even because i think it's going to be a bad movie, but because it's a new ip against an already estabilished one.
Kid Danger: *wearing his mighty pup movie outfit and slaps his face with his hoof* really?! *looks annoyed* "a colt's movie"? Dude, you NEED to meet my brother, Chevy man 30-30 the unicorn.
For those who don’t know the wild robot: the wild to robot Is a story about a robot who survived a boat crash and she/he tries to connect with the animals on the island and a fire happens.
Have to watch the movie for more news
The Animals will talk in the Wild Robot because in the book they take Roz eventually learns the animals language.
Unicron destroys planets, don’t see why he’d make a million transformers on only one planet just to destroy them and move to a different planet without them
Primus is the creator.
1:26 - Okay that was just straight up disrespectful from you. I'm saying this as someone who's been following the production of this movie since last year, and I have to say that this isn't just a movie for the studio to cash grab. The people who made it ARE fans of the franchise.
I doubt you would know that, but this is supposed to be the celebration of the 40 years of the franchise, and for you to come here and say it's merely a "cash-grab" shows you didn't even put effort into researching for this.
Thank you, a little annoyed with it also being called mostly a kid's movie too! Like its delving into the actual origin stories from the different continuities. Im so excited to see more of the franchise explored unlike how bayverse butchered it. (or how most film/tv show media focuses on the war on earth)
Like it takes only a small amount of research to understand the basics of the origins of transformers.
oh no the horror of disrespecting a toy franchise and fictional characters. aaah. you two are the definition of a fedora tipper at a party lol.
The Wild Robot had been delayed
For an early release date
@@noteworthinessxx7793 Not later?
@@PokeKris oh yes and early later release date
Some brief Transformers lore, Unicron isn't the creator, he's a planet eating destroyer god. The opposite to the Transformer's creator god Primus. In some adaptations Primus is dormant and his dormant body is Cybertron, the Transformer's home world.
Transfromers' "births" can happen in multiple ways. In one comics run they literally popped out of Cybertron's surface. Transformers can also be built by other transformers.
So funnily enough both of your guesses about how they are birthed is technically correct. XD
offf there's like a million transformers nerds pointing the same thing out geeeeeeez.
This feels like a mass of fedora tippers "correcting" the sin of misnaming such an important persona to this world omg lol
@@magical571
He asked a question about how Transforms are born. I answered. And answering required a minor correction.
Who is the biggest "fedora tipper" here. Someone answering a Lore question or someone pointlessly trying to white-knight for a UA-camr who doesn't need defending?
On November 5th is the 20th anniversary of the Incredibles movie.
Although I've not really been following dreamworks' movie, I would like to say that reportedly the transformers one test screening was really positive (if you want proof they reported that bumblebee will call himself badassitron and as you mentioned the trailer has him calling himself that)
As someone who read the first two books of the Wild Robot I can say yes. The animals talk.
4:28
did bro just confuse primus and unicron?
primus is the creator of the cybertronians
unicron is the literal embodiment of evil
oh no the horror. aaah.
I'm very excited for these two movies, I'll be seeing both!
some people want one of them to win while im here to hope that both have their Ws and dont have bad effect on one another
I remember reading the wild robot in 3rd grade it was such a good book can’t wait to see it in movie form
You chose a good day to upload this.
I’m personally looking forward to both movies the wild robot and Tf one
Not anymore, The recently announced that the wolf robot will be delayed to September 27
Can’t wait for The WildFormers One
Man, my birthday is going to rock during that week 😅😂
It would make it easier for me to see both.
I'm super excited to watch both movies
Okay I’ll go a bit more deep on the lore for transformers of course this will probably go into spoilers for this movie.
So transformers were created by Primus, he is basically their god, sometime he is the last god of light fighting the last god of darkness Unicron other times their brothers and Unicron turns evil, thus Primus creates the 13 primes, the first Cybertronions, which only one of which can transform.
They defeat Unicron and hurl him off of their planet Cybertron where he eventually becomes the gigantic planet eating planet. Primus instead fuses with the planet Cybertron becoming its spark (Soul) and this also creating the well of all sparks where transformers sparks are born. Their sparks are then placed inside of proto forms which are these lifeless bodies waiting for a spark.
Each series has its own versions, it gets a bit confusing honestly, that’s not even bringing up the One, all the multiverse stuff that sometimes happens in the comics, the dead universe.
DreamWorks was very smart to delay The Wild Robot a week away from Transformers: One!
Okay, so the Transformers were made by this guy named Primus, and he made them to help fight his evil brother Unicron. Primus turns into Cybertron, too!
I watched the wild robot trailer and knew transformers one would have an identical art style
I hope the wild robot does well. It looks so different and has so much potential for a NEW dreamworks story.
I read the of the wild robot book and the main character does indeed learn to communicate with the animals over time.
We smell competition…and it’s gonna be interesting.
Coincidentally, Dreamworks films used to be distributed by paramount from 2006 to 2011. So yeah, this is gonna be something to watch…
As a sidenote: we might as well call it “the wild one”.
Praying for dreamworks to win
The Transformers life cycle starts when a basic frame called a Protoform gets a spark. The protoform then gets placed into a mold to give it a useable shape. And that's how transformers are made. Where they get the protoform body is beyond me the sparks come from a giant hole on their home planet. My information is primarily from the Alligned continuity so it may not be accurate to the movie version.
I *believe*- don't quote me on this- that the protoform bodies are built by fellow cybertronians? I know its like that in some other continuities, at least. But I'm not sure.
@EvieWren in transformers animated, it's revealed that protoforms are way smaller compared to the actual bots I can't remember the rest unfortunately
@@EvieWren Yes and no it depends. The form that the main four bots in One are in is clearly their protoforms
I’m getting a feeling that transformers one is gonna make the Wild robot bomb.
I started reading the book, and the animals do talk.
The Wild Robot will be a week before Joker 2
If you actualy look at the tf one trailer so can you see that megatron does become, well megatron. Its going to be a movie about how megatron and optimus prime went from friends to foes. They even said themselves that they put most of the jokes in the trailer. Dazz"review"s but dosnt review the trailer propperly.
Watch me get hate for this✋️🙂↕️
Err this didn't aged well? Wild Robot got pushed back to end of September so that it doesn't have to compete with Transformers ONE. Technically yes it is still competing cos both are still out in the same month but still.
Hat in Time music lol
A lot of the older fans hate this latest TF movie trailer . Which is sad because I think it looks fun. So more will take their kids to wild robot. Because its kid friendly. Apparently, despite the trailer the TF one is supposed to be dark?
“The Wild-formers One”
“Transfo-Robots”
I heard that transformers one was the critically highest rated paramount movie.
Who’s ready for a summer robot war!
sorry everyone but it was announced that the wild robot is moving to September
The trailer surpassed the wild robots views in 2 DAYS, and the wild robots trailer was out for a month already.
More people know about Transformers then The Wild Robot also, and please watch Comodin Cams video explaing on how it wont be a kids comedy movie, its so annoying hearing people say that
True but also while tf is a popular brand it didn't stop certain films not reaching that high in the box office, I'm glad one of the films moved to avoid competition with each other
look, you don't need external validation of your hobbies and interests being adult enough and not for children. reconsider why you feel frustration, try and be honest and pose some internal questioning. And don't take the easy way out of some undefined "other" missing out: they wouldn't have watched either way, that's the reality of it.
It really is about validation, and that is sad.
I hear "hat in time" OST I leave a like.
4:52 close,but not quite
I kinda want The wild robot has no one talking, i think that would be cool.
What about Disney and Illumination? Or Sony and Universal? Or Columbia Pictures?
The first thing I thought of when I saw the title was a dreamworks sonic movie...
TRANSFORMERS ONE IS ON CYBERTRON AAAAAARGH
Each studio could've benefited from releasing these two movies in the same week. But I guess they don't want to make money anymore.
Lol Idk my heart stands with Transformers
Unicron is not the creator that is Primus unicron is basically robot satan primus body is also Cybertron
Keep in mind DreamWorks isn't being cowards for delaying it a week later. They did that so there wouldn't be a competition. That's like a Marvel movie and a DC movie coming out on the same thing.
I think we know where your preferences lie
3:53 hey there is a book abt this and yeaah the animals talk and roz herself can talk to them in the "language of the animals" aka stiching animal sounds together to make speech tis a good book
Spirit Tracks music
I think you're confusing gods. Unicron is not a creator but a destroyer which is also Earth's core. Primus is the creator and a core of Cybertron.
The wild robot would work as a great wordless story it was probably made like that in cus concept but corporate hands made them put voices to probably the animals that over explain the story
Fun fact: the wild robot is based on a book
Lots of movie are, especially animated ones
Unicron is the destroyer god in most versions. The creator god is primus. Tho we shouldn't rule out Vector sigma or the allspark
This is like Antz vs bugslife
My prediction? I think both will be solid movies, but the Wild Robot will be unfairly criticized for not living up to its hype, while Transformers One will receive a ton of praise because the bar for Transformers movies is so low. Transformers One is the Mario Movie of its franchise, while I can easily see the Wild Robot being similar to the Good Dinosaur: Highly anticipated but ultimately forgettable.
Well DreamWorks decided to delay the wild robot to avoid clashing with the new crappy transformers movie
Can you please review the 2000 film called Dinosaur?
In transformers unicorn is the nemesis of the god of the transformers named primus who made the cybertronians
from where the transformers come? Dude , from a simple facory. No a magic flying factory, just a factory.
Wilding
4:33 primus is the creator of life and unhcron the destroyer of life, sry for the nerd like statement
Yeah this vid was a bit too late. Wild robot is being delayed just so this clash doesn’t happen.
I'm more interested in The Wild Robot TBH.
you should do a review and emesis blue
Transformers no doubt. the ip has such a grip on the toy market. and parents don't really choose, it's more like their toddler grabbing their arm and pointing at the poster haha.
(not to count the vast amount of adults with an intense interest in the franchise too haha). Of course transformers would beat any other robot related attempt if released close enough to each other (a week isn't far enough in my eyes unless families go two weekends in a row to see two different robot movies? i don't know, doesn't make much sense to me from a family standpoint, i'm not counting adults who would go alone for the joy of it like many of us in this comment section i assume lol)
I'm not talking about quality though, that could go either way. I'm just talking about box office.
It was just announced that it was delayed for late September, and honestly I can see why, the Wild Robot's trailer looks 100 times better than Transformers One trailer, but general public goes more for the franchise movie rather than something original nowdays, unless is truly exceptional
This video came out at a bad time
Oof- sorry to say but they delayed The Wild Robot earlier today so they wouldn’t have competition. It’s probably for the best of Dreamworks actually-
did he say bill nye or someone else at 3:06
Every time i hear someone write tf1 off as a dumb kids movie i die a little inside
Anyways yeah you bet I'll be back in the theater a week later so i can see both of these lol
Primus not Unicron

TRANSFORMERS WINS theres no arguments
Grand creator Unicron hahahaa
There’s Velma season 2 😬
The Wild Robot is just "The Last Bastion" but a movie
It’s “The Wild Robot” but a movie lol. The Wild Robot is based on a children’s book series by the same name
Fun fact though, the first book was actually published the same month The Last Bastion came out
If you look at the description of the trailer of The Wild Robot, it confirms that yes: the animals do talk.
I’m sorry, but Wild Robot will be a goddamn masterpiece and transformers one will be a movie with soo many references to deep transformers lore while being kinda marvel movie annoying
