  • Hello my loves, this video is all about the side effects you might experience with the Ocrevus infusion as well as some mental health aspects you should be aware of. This video is not intended to scare you, as all of these side effects are manageable and go away once the infusion is completed. Best of luck!

This might have been the most helpful youtube video I've watched in my life and I've spent hundreds of hours on UA-cam. Lol. Thank you so very much. You told my entire experience so much better than I could have, so well that I'm contemplating sending it to my doctor to explain my experience. I agree it's a wonderful treatment, and don't want to disparage it, and I know life could be so much worse without it, and people are taking so much harsher treatments for cancer and such, but there is an experience with this drug too, and you described it so well. The only experience I haven't had that you described is diarrhea, and the only symptom I have that you didn't mention was uncontrollable crying the next morning...I mean sobbing...wailing for hours, which I finally realized was from the steroid and thankfully passed after a few hours of crying, exercise and watching two hours of stand up comedy. I broke through but good grief that was a bizarre roller-coaster ride. Anyway, thank you. Thank you. Thank you for telling my experience better than I could. I really appreciate you making this video.

This is truly the kindest comment I have EVER received. Thank you so much for taking the time to reach out and let me know that it has been helpful for you, you have no idea how much it means to me to know that... I find that I also get extremely emotional and the steroid can either make us a bit aggressive or very sad/ teary. I am glad that you just allowed yourself to go through it, but also did what felt uplifting for you with the comedy and the crying. Sometimes we do just need a good cry!

Thank you so much for validating my thoughts, actions, and feelings. 🙏
I got the call for pre-follow up for my First Full Dose.
May I ask what qualified you for the Shorter Full Dose? I received the news on it and am excited there’s this option.
I have noticed that during this time before my next dose that I do have more energy, but have to remind myself that my body has its limits. I’ve literally mentioned the difference between staying hydrated and not.
I am staying positive about my control over this affliction.
Thank you again. 💪🏽 Stay strong.

Oh wow congratulations! I was able to do the shorter full dose because I have taken the longer full dose for the last couple of years and never had any adverse reactions to the medication. I have a feeling that soon everyone will be able to take the shorter dose and they will probably use slow it down if someone has any reactions to the medication - which is super good news! Ah, I am glad that you have lots of energy before your dose, that is such good news.
Yes, I find not a lot of people say much about hydration, but its true that there is a difference!
Yes! Be gentle with yourself, you've got this🥰

Thank you for sharing. I also have been on Ocrevus for a few years and my next infusion is tomorrow morning. I am getting ready with a water bottle, headphones, cell phone charger and a box of specialty donuts for the nurses in the center. Take care and thanks for sharing.

I'm one week post first full dose. Walking is very stiff and dragging legs and feet. Slightly dizzy. No infusion reactions. Low blood pressure but returned to normal after infusion was over. Took 4 hrs. . Next one is going to be a fast one said the nurse.

So, my doctor wants me to go on Ocrevus. Heard a lot about side effects and the procedure, but almost nothing on the benefits. Even UA-cam videos on Ocrevus typically patients only talk about side effects. So, I passed on my Ocrevus scheduling.

I’m on Ocrevus now. My side effect wasn’t normal; despite being given the pre-meds including Benadryl, my ears turned bright red ( just my ears). They took me off right away to give more Benadryl and then I was fine. This happened three times until my neuro told me to take a Benadryl before I even get to infusion clinic, and now it doesn’t happen anymore.

@@rebeccashain Thanks. Been, on monthly injections, of copaxione, 3 a week. So, Now, I am doing this, which is considered riskier. AND,
As this MS., is my Life.
When things overwhelm your life with a huge concern, and you are at the mercy of a Disease. You can't fight something, you can't see.
      M. S. can destroy your day in so many Ways. People, instantly, see the Positives, which is how most are taught, to see other people, you are unable to see the People, until you have the frame to see people, and not, cloud the vision, of the view.
And, as you did, I also was guilty, of this, as I watched my sister fall into M. S. back when they had nothing to help them with, it. I Also, think my Mother's, MOTHER, had it, and UNFORTUNATELY, took the brunt, of her disease. I think, when we visited her as a small child, I think, was going through something, as a younger woman, and my mother was the mother, at Five, for her siblings. During the Depression, they would walk the railroad Tracks, for coal. Funny, we complain about the little inconveniences, and they were small children, walking on railroads, I can see her, and her brother, Jim walking up the Railroad. Both with a little knapsack bag, or at least a bag. They would go fishing it a safety pin, and we were catching trout, on Sever Spring's in Decorsh,Iowa. 4 and a 6 year old catching supper. Amazing, One fish to feed a small family.
They had, nothing, and EVERYTHING. Life began, when they were born. As in they experienced Life. Good and Bad. I think they were
Wonderful people, by Choice. You can chose who you are, and how to look at things.. I, 've got time to think, by circumstance. You think I want to sit in my Chair, all day. Same view, and never go outside ? Sucks, M.S. IT is a slowest killer, It takes your mobility, then It takes your friends, and finally, your family. Too much for the Wife,or husband. Depends when it hits you.

The only side effect I've had was with my first infusion. They woke me up from the Ocrev nap and the pores on my check swelled up so big lol benedryl fixed it, and haven't had one since.
