It is today about 10 years after release i can say im blown away and how low its rated but understand that not everyone could possibly appreciate this. Ifs thestre its masterful its insightful. Wow loved it. So unique.
I totally love David Cronenberg, his films and how he converses. I am proud to be a U of T graduate and to have studied inside the same walls with this wonderful man. Looking forward to David's next film!
Still the most underrated of the greats and still the greatest of the underrated. There is always something to take away from a Cronenberg film because they explore a subject of common interest, plus...they are exciting and risky.
The majority of the interview consisted of questions regarding your silly, irresponsible attempt at making my original comment look as though it was in regards to a real interview that took place between himself and I. Would you like to elaborate on your question in an attempt to make some sort of sense of it?
I wrote, and I quote "I've been on a Q interview tear". Meaning, of course, that I was watching a lot of Q interviews. Shall we end this little back and forth? Or shall we continue?
***** Aha! That is an entire different story! So, since you are now an expert, which of Jian's interviews was, in your opinion, his best and which one was his worst?
I found it somewhat similar to american psycho, pattison being bale but Cosmopolis seemed to me more down to earth. Yeah, really good movie, now I have to revisit Cronenbergs filmography :))
I was very struck by the FEEL of this film. It didn't look like any other film, and it had this curious quality unlike any other film I'd seen. I thought it was at a Kubrick level. I'm surprised that car never made it as a model kit.
I felt like RP was a computer program that f up somewhat and showed that progress in for a future based on this model can’t work long term , it needs human error, or will fail and of course we need to look inside and not external to find where WE fail.
When David mentions the trip back in time for Robert to get his haircut as also a trip back to his father, I got this notion of the film that will be made about Trump coming from the point of view of Don Jr.
Very intresting interview G , another great job kudos ps I have yet to see an interview I didnt like even when Billy Bob whats his face acted like a child ... it was a little upsetting to see you trying soooo hard to try and get that stupid child to talk , it was still entertaning and let me know how child like an imature Billy bob was.
this movie needs a remake. the reason for why he gets the haircut is so pretentious. so many better things it could represent that would provoke cronenberg esque images.
This man is a visionary, 10, 20, 30 years from now people will watch this film again and realize how powerful and underrated it was.
This film, it's style, it's approach is a world unto itself. Yes, the end feels more like a play, but what a play. And that car..................
It is great interview
I'm from the future : SPOILER u were godman right
@@lazytoad2616 he was damn right indeed

love how down to earth and non pretentious dave is. It's unusual nowadays
A phenomenal artist. A phenomenal, phenomenal artist.
Always besting himself. And the less physical horror props, the better the work.

Very interesting interview, Cronenberg seems to be of a rare breed.
been thinking that since Videodrome.
I've been on a Q interview tear, and I'm convinced that Jian is the best interviewer out there. Keep up the good work man.
+GauntLife -- What did he interview you about?

***** You wrote "I've been on a Q interview" and I asked you what you were interviewed about. Are you also an obscure indie-filmaker from Canada?

I love David Cronenberg! Eastern Promises is one of my favourite movies
"A really good capitalist will love a successful anti capitalist film because it will make money."
the man's right!
this guy does not cease to amaze me every time he speaks... about anything.
I wish SCANNERS would get a proper dvd/Blu ray release..with commentary and bonus features. I love this movie.
Kirk..Montreal, Canada
Marvelous filmmaker, such a power and stand, he´s the Goya of Filmmaking a great cronologist of our times!

Great movie.
Glad you liked it.
A rare movie from a very distinct director. The present time is ripe for works of this type, but seems to shy away from it
Fans are often like that, no criticism of any kind can be leveled against their chosen obsession and unfortunately TDK has attracted a lot of that.
greatly intelligent and always inspiring
Nice film, director, actor, and interview. Thanks.

You're a great interviewer ^_^

Besides Cronenberg's genius, Tom conducts a great interview
Always liked this Guy ^^
Love your vidz
koyaanisqatsi is great cinema without a single face talking.
the camera dude is behind the curve.
"edgy hand-held wigglin' & zoomin' " is very 2012.
i love Cronenberg, but not crazy about his films, he makes so much sens.

why are dark knight fans so weird about ppl criticising it
just independor and harismatic..... director
Comment about bill gates wanting to help people didn’t age well

Yes. It's called human.
he seems to know his craft, that is rather inspiring
Dark Knight is the best!
chill out ffs dark knight is overrated
Yip just throw the ball...instead of analysing
Over Analyzing
"it's not like they are communists and wanting to tear down the capitalist system..." spoken 8 years ago
David is such a freak....a brilliant...FREAK!
+Matthew Conti --A freak? I don't think so. This here is hardly a freak show.
if cronenberg can't afford where he lives he needs a new agent/manager
i don't like cosmopolis btw its average
YOU ARE AVERAGE
