      @itskoota 7 років тому +42

      of course he is, just like he did when lebron played with wade, when wade was out with knee injuries, wade was still better from the bench lol. He's just a big lebron hater and will do or say any calculated thing in order to diminish lebrons greatness, because he is scared. That's all it is, fear. He is fearing for Jordan who was his idol, who he covered most of his life, his number 1. He is scared because he knows lebron is THE only guy possible that could ever be called the greatest in basketball.

      Kyrie is great, don't get me wrong, but if LeBron leaves that team, Cavs are prolly figthing for that 7-8th seed in the East. If Kyrie left, I still think Cavs would be a 1 or 2 seed.

    • @Cooljoshua567
      @Cooljoshua567 7 років тому +1

      +Ryan Beckham That's undoubtedly true. Kyrie is a great player and an elite PG but he's not a Superstar, nor does he make everyone around him better. He can put up points without question but that in itself doesn't make a team a contender, as Anthony Davis can attest too.
      What makes Lebron (and by extension, the Cavs) so dominant is that Lebron can improve the game of his team mates and lead them better than anyone else.

    Skip? C'mon. I mean, I get the playoff hate I really do, as much as I disagree with it, but I get it. This I can't comprehend. Lebron James, LEBRON JAMES, can't be the top runner for MVP? I truly don't understand you skip. I can't.

    • @longjohnsilverthorne7766

      Chase B how could he be? He has coasted the past 3 regular seasons until the playoffs to great success. if I were lebron, I'd coast as well cuz it works. Cavs fans should be upset if he wins mvp

      lebron could win and only play 60 games if hes the best player all 60 games. or most of them he could plus as far as im concerned he should be mvp a every year no lbj no finals for cavs same for heat when he left.

    • @Qichar
      @Qichar 7 років тому +3

      Skip is just answering the question, "is he surprised"
      Here is the very simple argument:
      1) GMs almost all think Lebron will win it.
      2) Skip thinks there is close to NO chance Lebron will win it. NOT because Lebron lacks the skill, but simply because they are going to save him for the playoffs and reduce his minutes per game. REGULAR SEASON MVP, right?
      3) Therefore, Skip is surprised GMs think Lebron will win it because there is almost no chance he actually will.
      Why is logic so hard to understand? This is a very simple argument that everyone is trying to interpret as Lebron hate. Lebron is the BEST BASKETBALL PLAYER IN THE WORLD. Period.
      He's also not going to win MVP this coming regular season.

      Daniel Josiah collins no sir. Harden will not win enough games. Think about it. Kawhi has risen his PPG by 4 each year, if he can do that again he'll average 24 PPG while possibly winning DPOY for the third year in a row and the Spurs will be top 3. He has the best case. LeBron is always in the discussion but it's likely out of Kawhi Russell and LeBron, then Harden

    • @danieljosiahcollins4791
      @danieljosiahcollins4791 7 років тому +1

      Knicks 4 Life Kawhi's not winning DPOY this year, Westbrook is going to be a 4th or 5th seed so he's automatically out. I think the Rockets are going to be the 2nd seed in the west, that's why i said Harden. In the east, it's LeBron or Paul George. so i have LeBron, Harden then George

    Funny how Skip says this is not LeBron hate straight from the heart at the start, which suggests what we all know that a lot of his opinions on LeBron are hate, he's right on this topic though LeBron isn't chasing MVP's and will play less minutes with less effort during the regular season, just enough to get where he needs to be come playoff time, highly unlikely he wins MVP.

    • @jname9368
      @jname9368 7 років тому +4

      No he won't. He's still the best and most dominant player but after 2013 and how shattered he was after the finals he decided to take it easier during regular season and not push every single game so he could save his best for the playoffs, which he has. Last 2 years he's averaged 7ppg, 2.5 rebounds and 2 assists a game more in the finals than in regular season which is a huge difference. If he wanted to he could probably have a 30-10-8 season but he knows going hard in regular season now is almost pointless at this stage in his career

    LeBron is not old, but he is at the age where he is not going to win regular season MVP because he is not going to give it 100% every night like Russell Westbrook for example. Time playoffs come around LeBron ramps it up. Time finals come around LeBron channels something I didn't know he had anymore and comes back from 3-1 down.

They basically got rid of one guy to add a players that's probably better than him, and two more solid players that can put the ball in the basket.

    The MVP award is wide open this year.
    Curry can't win after his finals performance
    Durant can't win because he can't be that valuable to a team that almost won a chip without him last year.
    Lebron will probably coast in the regular season.
    Westbrook is a known ball hog and defensive liability
    Harden is a known volume shooter and defensive liabiloty
    Leonard just isn't that entertaining offensively and he is not superstar elite (like a slightly worse klay) offensively. Although he is arguably the best sf defender ever.
    Davis is returning from injury but he plays for a bad organization.
    Towns is on the up and up, but it's only year 2.

      Jack Liu because it's largely narrative driven. It's also most valuable. precedent has been set, and I doubt Harden or WB get their teams far enough above .500 to qualify. I also doubt we'll give the award to Durant or Curry because of what the perception is about them as individuals. Kawhi seems like the better choice out of everyone not named Lebron, but Duncan was more valuable to the Spurs than we think, and they might see a slight drop off.
      There's a good chance the Cavs end up with 60 plus wins.
