    He seems like a humble guy. I hope that Hollywood won't corrupt his soul and he would rather stay away from it.

      Yeah, I'm happy about him saying that this is not his plan 4:40 .Hearing that he wants to work with producing a TV drama on historical events in England (even involving his ancestors lol) sounds pretty awesome. I think he also mentioned in another interview somewhere, that he would love to do more theatre work, which is great!

      If he stays filming with British actors and in England, he'll stay humble. If he ends up getting a house in Los Angeles or something he's a goner.
      America consumes people, especially the shitty "Look at me, look at me I've got a better this," attitude of celebrities. The society has a horrible attitude with celebrities and vice versa, paparazzi culture is the must disgusting thing possible in the states as well.
      Lots of English actors mention that even in a city like London they can enjoy casual strolls and eating out at restaurants and they are respected. Their personal space, etc. isn't violated. In return, these celebrities are more inclined to be kind to fans who approach them with respect as opposed to America... You get swarmed and of course the human reaction is to react negatively to these people swarming you. In turn, you get a jaded celebrity who dislikes fans, appearances, etc.
      Not to mention all the famous American athletes, musicians and actors that kill themselves or die from drugs.

    Probably the best interview with Kit out there.
    I love when he gets to analyse a bit on his characters, talk about his current work and projects, rather than being asked stupid questions about hair or fashion (Hollywood can be so cringe ):p This is great! I actually learned something from this conversation :)

    Holy shit! So all of Kit ancestors are famous or something? That's an incredible story.

      Some of his ancestors were noblemen. And upper class people did tend to get their names in history books more often than common folk.

    British TV is something else. I'm surprised they don't have a glass of Scotch.

    I'm seeing this play Friday. I respect Kit as an actor (as I aspire to be an actor) and I love him on Game of Thrones. He is beautiful and also in an inspiration to me. The fact that I will be able to see him is unreal to me and still. I cannot wait ❤️

    Love Kit but imo Alphie Allen is by far the best Thrones actor.

      ***** Haha fair enough. Though in my defense, I love Eurons plan to take Westeros, and I think they have the coolest looking sigil. It doesn't have anything to do with the Theon character. I just love the way Alphie Allens acting on the show.

      I am seeing this relatively soon with some family and I studied Faustus at A-Level and loved it. They there is nudity here. Am I going to want to collapse in on myself and die from embarrassment?

    • @TheFlowMind
      @TheFlowMind 8 років тому +1

      TheMossRamblings There is a good amount of nudity. Two frontal nudes, Kit Harrington ass (twice) and the entire cast in undies for the all duration fo the show. You'll probably feel embarassed but mostly shocked since it a quite violent play. In any case it's worth going even if it's not terribly loyal to Marlow's text.

    • @George...
      @George... 8 років тому

      Ohhh no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no. This is NOT what Faustus is all about. I don't claim to be an expert but this sounds like a hipsters take on a classic. Sorry to take up your time. Would you mind telling me why its worth going? Just so it doesn't sound like a load of hipster nudists wanting attention and smearing Marlow's work (reviews are good so I doubt they are doing that but just in case).

    • @TheFlowMind
      @TheFlowMind 8 років тому

      Obviously that is not the point! I was just replying to your comment that was asking about the nudity element. Have you really read the reviews? The one that I’ve read were mostly negative and I think that the main problem is that people expected it to be very close to Marlow’s text.
      I never read the original text but I know that this play will deviate from the original version in the central section and you’ll hear it also from the language that will go from very old English to modern English to go back to old at the end. Furthermore, Faustus's motive is not gaining knowledge/power but fame in the vain desire of being "loved" by people consequentially losing any real love in his life. I love the acting especially the actress who played Mefistofeles and Kit that is 100% better than in Got. I loved the visual element and how the play looks like a surreal nightmare with most of the cast interpreting living or damned souls. I was engaged by the humour and by the constant back and forth between repenting and continuing how, at the end of the day, he ends up destroying everything that was real and there for him to take. As I said before it’s not a copy and paste of Marlow and you need to judge it by yourself.

      TheFlowMind Well I walked past the duke of York theatre two days ago and there were many good reviews on the posters outside, though that is biased obviously as they wouldn't feature any bad ones. But the ones on the poster were many and glowingly positive.
      Thank you for your time, I've booked my tickets! I'll let you crack on with your life.
