Maybe closer depending on your distance from the mirror, that’s why in my timeline it said, MAYBE.
So then this begs the question, why only the passenger mirror is convex and not the driver's? Wouldn't I benefit just as much to see more on the driver's side as I would the passenger's side? In fact, wouldn't it be even more beneficial to see more on the driver's side since I have a much better view of the passenger side, only needing to turn my head slightly, opposed to having to turn almost my whole body to see what's on the driver's side?
It does say it on both sides....
Unless for some reason, the mirror was replaced (just the glass itself) the replacement doesn't always have the caution print on it. I had to replace my driver's side glass for the sideview mirror and it didn't have print on it. The old, factory glass did though

This is such garbage. Technically diverging mirrors result in the virtual image being closer than they really are, but smaller in size. The smaller size tricks us into thinking they are further away. Utter garbage.
