The fuel stowage and controls leaked and the planes had quite a few mid air explosions. despite some design changes they still occasionally exploded. By the time production of the plane ceased, the bugs had all been worked out and it became a very heavy lifter freighter.
Love the sound of the engines. Reminds me of my 3 years in Vientiane, Laos Airport from 1973 to 75.
