Stanley not remembering anything is what teared me up. When they needed a hero the most he was there, but in the process basically died. Yes I'm glad everything turned out right in the end, but Stan actually loosing his memory would bring so much more weight to everything they faced and made Stan look like he made a much more bigger sacrifice than he did.
"Sixty degrees that come in threes. Watches from within birch trees. Saw his own dimension burn. Misses home and can't return. Says he's happy. He's a liar. Blame the arson for the fire. If he wants to shirk the blame, *He'll have to invoke my name.* One way to absolve his crime. *A different form, a different time."*
A spell. A wish. That Bill Cipher cast at the moment of his death. The Axolotl said Cipher could “shirk the blame” (referring to destroying his own dimension) if he invokes his name. What it means in an actual sense is unclear, but the “that I may return” part suggests Cipher is trying to avoid his death. The mystery melody played at the Cipher statue after the credits suggests it may have done something.

7:18 I actually think this is one of the most heartbreaking moments of the show. Most other terrible moments are reversed; not this one. And here's WHY it's so terrible: Pacifica grew up with basically no love from her parents, conditioned to slavishly obey a little bell, with her only worth in her parent's eyes (and in her own at the start of the series) being how perfectly she fit the Northwest mold. HOWEVER, she had her ponies. Imagine for a moment being a love-starved little girl, not even knowing HOW to love or be loved really because no one ever modeled that for you, and then... ponies. Animals with patient brown eyes and soft manes, who don't judge you or yell at you and accept you pretty much endlessly, whether you act like the perfect Northwest or not. You find yourself slipping out to be with your ponies more and more often, even just to look at them and know that they love you. Every child's bottomless need for love, acceptance, and reassurance, all loaded on the broad backs of your ponies, because they still whinny when they see you, they'll stand and let you cry into their manes, they accept if you don't fit the perfect image your parents have for you. You don't get a real sense of belonging from your parents. Not from your friends. Not from anyone, really, except your ponies. THEY ARE YOUR FAMILY. Now imagine that you're only allowed to keep ONE. You have to go through the lineup of these animals who helped you through so much, and pick ONE. That time you cried into Moonbeam's mane when you tripped in front of your father and paid for it? You have to weigh that against all the times Raleigh patiently bumped you with his head to tell you you were being obnoxious, and you have to decide which matters more to you. Then you have to watch the rest of them carted off to who knows where, and you'll never see them again. Will their new owners be kind? Will the next small child scratch that one spot behind their ears that only you know about? Will they be beaten, sent to the slaughterhouse, neglected by an animal hoarder? You don't know, and you'll never find out. And you can only save ONE. And, unlike most tragic moments in Gravity Falls, this is PERMANENT. Pacifica is down to her one preferred pony, and she's not going to see any of the other ponies again, ever. No Weirdmageddon reversal is going to fix this. No mad science gimmick is going to set things right for her. She went from a family of animals who loved her down to one, and her parents as manipulative and abusive as ever, and even worse, now Dipper and Mabel, who showed her what real friendship could look like, who modeled familial love for her, are leaving for nine months of the year, if their parents even let them come back again. You're practically alone with your monstrosities of parents now, and that's not going away any time soon. It's a heartbreaking moment, even if it's played for laughs.

I like the episode title of "Somewhere in the Woods", but I probably would have titled it "Good for Something" I like the ending, but I kind of wish that instead of giving Stan all of his memories back, he only was able to remember two or three things, with one of them being the dream for the Stan O'War. Then they could have had Ford decide to go adventure with Stan while trying to bring his memories back. This would imply that he might one day recover, but would leave the impact of the mind wipe for the finale itself
What a great journey, I hope every one of you enjoyed it. If you guys want some comments from the creator, Alex Hirsch, watch the special "Between the Pines".
I like the fact that Stan gets his memory back, but I wish it was less instantaneous... Like, he started having some faded memories and for now the rest of it is simply through relearning.

Rewatching this series is amazing, especially if you look into the theory about what happened to Bill ( The UA-cam channel Film Theory does a great job of running through all the clues, including the clues that were hidden with the statue of Bill and where that lead). I had chills run down my spine several times hearing certain phrases Bill and a certain main character both say. Great reaction guys! It's been a fun journey. While I still really enjoy the finale, the show needed a third season. Not just because it would have meant more of a great show, but the show was really starting to grow its side characters. If they had gone all the way with that idea, then the final prophecy/spell set up would have meant more than just a bunch of randos we like happening to be there. Heck, Ford and McGucket never really had the reunion they should have had. Everything was pretty rushed. But even with that, it's amazing how fun and complete the finale still feels. So Bravo team. Bravo.
ive always thought it was a weird cop out that he gets his memories back in the end but the more i think about it i realized the only reason hes able to remember is because bill made a deal to come back. So im p certain the moment stan gets his memory back bill also came back to this world. Wether or not well see him again is a whole nother story
I second the recommendation that you find and watch the Gravity Falls Shorts, which were a series of short cartoons made to fill the void between the first and second seasons. They are pretty funny. On the subject of a third season, I'd have to sadly weigh in that it would be a mistake. The series is a perfectly crafted piece of art with a beginning, middle, and end. It was always intended to just be this one transitional summer, and that's what it is. I think any revisiting would detract from the perfection of the series as it stands.
You know why I don't feel to sad at the end is because I know they come back every Summer and I seriously doubt that they stay in California or move somewhere else when there adults I will be happy because the show continues there will be many jokes and adventures we just won't see them but remember it's not over. 😁
I'm never sure how to feel about Stan getting his memories back. On one side I'm happy but on other I'm like...so we defeated bill without any consequences
After killing time baby bill gained control over time, so he should've known the outcome of the fight right? Or maybe losing was just a part of another grand scheme O_O
The message bill says before he burns is in reverse! If you play it in reverse you get this. Bill says “A X O L T L my time has come to burn! I evoke the ancient power that I may Return!“
thank you thank you so much for watching what is one of my fav shows realize they got rid of bill but not defeat him he can regenerate one day far in the future we might see season 3 of gravity falls and officially destroy the triangle demon bill one can only dream
I always hold out hope they will do more. Summers do always end that is true. But they always come again as well. I always hoped they would come back as like 18 or so before college and have to find both Stans or something
Cartoon journeys like this are a precious part of life. I'd defintely reccommend Hilda for similar childhood vibes and a good soundtrack and mystical forrest creatures! Steven universe and star vs the forces of evil are more fleshed out options if you want a longer journey but they're not quite as good as gravity falls imo
Axototl.. It's the perfect ending, even if Hirsch intends to not return with season 3 somewhere in our hearts we know theres a story out there and I like those sort of endings.
Me: Don’t cry. Don’t cry. Don’t cry!
Stan: Guess I was good for something after all.
Me: *cries like a baby*

"I've got some children I need to make into corpses".
It's such a simple threat yet it's so cool.
It sounds much more horrifying than "i'll kill them both"
It's probably a clever way of saying "I'm going to kill some kids" because that would not be allowed in a kid's show.

My favourite part about the good bye letter is the fact that there’s Pacifica’s signature as well
Bro I was 7 years old when this episode came out on Disney, when I saw Bill's statue I didn't sleep for days
“See you next summer” but we never did 🥺
Great reaction guys!
Bravo.
Dr. Seus: Don't be sad that its over, be happy that it happened
Favorite part of the credits is the 3 and 4 Dipper clones being alive😆
2:30 “kids show”
ive always thought it was a weird cop out that he gets his memories back in the end but the more i think about it i realized the only reason hes able to remember is because bill made a deal to come back. So im p certain the moment stan gets his memory back bill also came back to this world. Wether or not well see him again is a whole nother story
The feels in this episode 😭😭
watching this makes me miss gravity falls
BUT MY AIM GETTING BETTER!
I’ve finished the playlists thank you for posting this
Alex said if this show were to come back, it wouldn’t involve Mabel & Dipper because their adventure came to a close.

It was amazing going on this journey with you guys.
Does anyone else want a Disney+ series following the Stan's adventures?
I second the recommendation that you find and watch the Gravity Falls Shorts, which were a series of short cartoons made to fill the void between the first and second seasons. They are pretty funny. On the subject of a third season, I'd have to sadly weigh in that it would be a mistake. The series is a perfectly crafted piece of art with a beginning, middle, and end. It was always intended to just be this one transitional summer, and that's what it is. I think any revisiting would detract from the perfection of the series as it stands.
I can’t count how long I cried after finishing the show
GOD DAMMIT THIS IS SUCH A GOOD SHOW.
I miss Gravity Falls so much that was my most favorite show of all time
Still waiting for next summer
You know why I don't feel to sad at the end is because I know they come back every Summer and I seriously doubt that they stay in California or move somewhere else when there adults I will be happy because the show continues there will be many jokes and adventures we just won't see them but remember it's not over. 😁
a year later I just finished watching your reactions to this. love this series!
So... Bill knows when everybody dies but can't figure out that if they don't die during Weirdmageddon, that he would lose? Makes sense.
He lies all the time lol, it’s entirely possible he was just bullshitting them to make them believe he can’t hurt them.
I think Bill planned all this. He knew he would die. That's why he sang We'll meat again song. To mention that he will return
I'm never sure how to feel about Stan getting his memories back. On one side I'm happy but on other I'm like...so we defeated bill without any consequences
Louis CK was the horribly sweaty one-armed monstrosity originally. Alex Hirsch re-dubbed it himself after Louis CK got into trouble.
On the big note board when they were planning out the show, one of the notes just said “pigs are cute” and it stayed there throughout the show.
When that one dude’s shirt is actually a spoiler
You guys should react to Adventure Time! The show is absolutely incredible
It is so long for a reaction i think and has so many unconnected episode with the main story
WAY too long though :(
@@enderkaral178 Actually, there are very few episodes of Adventure Time that don't come back into the storyline in some way.
@@enderkaral178 it doesn't matter that every episode doesn't have importance to the plot. It's a fun, but long journey either way.
Only until the lich King,it went completely downhill after that
After killing time baby bill gained control over time, so he should've known the outcome of the fight right?
Or maybe losing was just a part of another grand scheme O_O
The message bill says before he burns is in reverse! If you play it in reverse you get this.
Bill says “A X O L T L my time has come to burn! I evoke the ancient power that I may Return!“
Great reaction to the whole series!
thank you thank you so much for watching what is one of my fav shows realize they got rid of bill but not defeat him he can regenerate one day far in the future we might see season 3 of gravity falls and officially destroy the triangle demon bill one can only dream
I always hold out hope they will do more. Summers do always end that is true. But they always come again as well. I always hoped they would come back as like 18 or so before college and have to find both Stans or something
Always the feels when you realise it's over
yeah i totally cried at the end of this, and am crying now rewatching it hahaha
Best reaction guys!!!
You can’t find the statue anymore. It was removed from the spot.
.-What did you acomplished this year
.-I watched people watching a cartoon i already watched
.-Wtf why
.-Its fun.
This is about the 100th time ice watched gravity falls and the ending never gets easier
