I grew up in Connecticut and we had three jai alai frontons there is also an amateur Jai Alai in the 1980s and 90s in Milford Connecticut which I managed for a few years. One of my favorite things to do was to pick out six of the best pelotas every day for when I would play lol (when Bridgeport Jai Alai closed we were able to get 120 pelotas to add to the 50 we already had) … I lived and breathed Jai Alai for 8 years and I dreamed every night of the sound that came from the crack of the ball hitting the granite wall
