    Installed it myself without any issues. The wifi signal is great even ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxE_D_sddGAdiVUKp7PkkmyxO7bRtgqmk5 when the router is located far away. I really enjoy the night vision feature that allows me to see clearly any activity near our house (mostly cars and wild animals). The motion detection is helpful to me as well to monitor what happens on our front.

    Swann said you can plug an off the shelf RCA cabled speaker into the audio out and it should work. The cable does not seem to fit snug in the audio out port. I have to put pressure on it to make it “connect”. Is there a connector I can buy to make the RCA cable work better?

    Question : I got my phone set up with my DVR I can see my cameras through my phone around the house but when I get work I'm using the job Wi-Fi but I cannot see my cameras ! can you place tell me what part I'm missing ? or is because my DVR got no live stream ???

    • @NetviewCCTV
      @NetviewCCTV  8 років тому +2

      You can see them in the house because you are on the same network as the DVR. Once outside because you are on a different network you have to forward (open) ports on your router. The ports will be specific to your DVR so google 'your DVR model no' + port forwarding.

      This video missed one most important part. always remember not all analog DVR XVR Channels are equal unless stated. For most recorder, always allocate most important recording to Channel 1 and channel 2 for highest resolution or even manual RCA audio recording. If your channels are prioritised correctly, then you should go to camera setting for cam 1 or 2 to include audio recording.

    I've connected a passive microphone (without power supply) to audio-in port and set video and audio recording but I hear only crackling noise. Does someone know exactly what type of microphone is supported.

    • @fatroose1
      @fatroose1 5 років тому

      A passive mic will not work. You need to power the mic with 12volts dc

    how can I use a 2 way audio? Why does super live pro software running on my android show a speaker icon and a phone icon on the bottom with a green bars on the talk side. Meaning it's giving you the option to talk as well as listen! What good is it if you're not home yet see someone at your front door on the android. I hooked up a mic. to channel 1 and can hearmyself speak coming from my android, but if I try using my android with the talk icon as I talk into the phone I can hear myself coming from the tv mon. ok good right, no because when i hook an amp,to the output of the NVR i can hear myself but I get feedback, so it wont work! why the hell does super live pro have this option but the Nvr dont. MY question can i put a mic. at my front door connected to the input of the NVR and put an amp from the output to a speaker also at my front door for 2 way using my android 2 way option?? Will it work?? Thanks

    • @NetviewCCTV
      @NetviewCCTV  8 років тому +1

      +Samuel Sello Kekana , if connecting Analogue cameras via the BNC connectors then try using Ground Loop Isolators to clear up image ghosting, distortion etc due to ground loops or electrical interference on the system. Regards netviewcctv.co.uk

      RG59, or with power is also referred to as 'Shotgun' cable

    • @fatroose1

      RG59 has a solid copper centre conductor. RG58 has a stranded copper centre conductor making it more flexible for multiple dvr/matrix racks. Either can be used to transmit audio

    A shame (possibly for some) that you didn't show how to connect using your (20m?) cable with the power supply at the DVR end and delivering the power over your long cable and then connect the power from the long cable to Mic power in and then from the Mic power out to the camera power in. The way you showed the connection at the end of your video you were relying on the camera being within a few feet of the DVR so it would connect to power. Otherwise, thank you for your effort.
