    A very comprehensive tutorial and it's giving me a firm understanding of how things work. It's one thing to know how to set up a database but to understand what's going on is far more important. Thank you.

    Hello Sir,
    Thanks for the way you have increased my knowledge of Ms. Excel and Access; God bless you. I am Cephus Johann Krangar, and I write from Monrovia, Liberia, West Africa. I strongly believe that your teachings (tone, pace, accent and superiority over the lessons) are all I need to become a computer genius. Please, could you as well provide lessons on Quickbooks?

    Brilliant video and teaching!! This has probably been asked..
    Have you ever built a form with queries?
    Is it better to write forms directly from tables..or.. First build queries and then build your forms.
    Why im asking is because ..in your other videos you say "you don't want anyone to touch your tables" so is it safe to create your forms with tables directly..or do i first create queries..and the create forms qith the queries?
    Much appreciated!!

    • @599CD
      @599CD  2 роки тому

      You can build a form off of a query if you want, but your forms should always be based off one a SINGLE TABLE. If you need to bring in other information for display purposes, that's fine. But don't try to join two tables together and then be able to EDIT records from both of those tables in the same form. Use a form with a subform. One of my members recently asked a similar question. I've got a video coming up on this soon.

    Hi, when in 'table' layout, creating record rows/data input, is it possible for Access 10 to detect and auto type matching record data that has been previously inputted? Example, previously inputted 'United States' would auto type (into row cell) from the first typed letter 'U' (and additional letters [ni..] if needed for detection against similar words) for convenience and speed of data input?
    If this can be done, how is it possible please??

    • @599CD
      @599CD  3 роки тому +1

      Not easily, no. You could use a combo box, but then you have to pre-populate the values. You could use an AfterUpdate event to add new items to that combo box table, but then we're back to what I originally said: not easily. LOL

      I don't provide consulting, but you can try: 599cd.com/AccessDev

    Hope that, after you go to heaven, all your premium videos will be available in youtube (free); wishing your journey to heaven early. Ms access is wonderful for single-user-personal-use; no language needs to be learnt, for tiny projects.

      I'm the developer. It's OK if I work with the tables. Your END USERS should stick to forms.

    To be honest. The way you explain is good but after every sentence you say I will cover or I will explain this in the future 🙄🙄🙄🙄 . People are telling that do not put today's task or work to tomorrow.!!!!! Really not good !!!!

      I'm letting people know that something they might be wondering about WILL be covered in a future lesson. I can't cover everything at once. Space and time do not work that way. You can't cover ALL of Calculus in one hour-long session, right? This is a BEGINNER tutorial. See this: 599cd.com/FutureLesson
