Notice how he aims right in their direction as he is walking through the door to the lobby; then realizes they are not there; then proceeds to go straight to the other side of the fence where he immediately looks right at them and takes them out. Since they were neither on his UAV nor his heartbeat sensor, I do not see any other way he could have known they were there.
It's a shame, as otherwise I appreciated his review of the weaponry.
